Intellectual Faith

Post 279

I have very little doubt that I just lost a whole lot of credibility by my recent posts regarding the faith as it pertains to quantum physics. The strongly stable conservative Christian will conclude that only an obviously “fringe” whacko would publicize such wildly unchristian concepts and try to sell it as Christian. But just as surely, the freethinking Christian with “odd ideas” of the faith will quickly gravitate to my presentation as “cool” and by unbound imagination run with the idea to foolish ends unlimited. My earnest target audience for those posts is the serious Christian who allows the Spirit to reveal things of God that are truly fringe to the common, safe, “approved” faith, but nonetheless accurately foundationed in the quantum structure of scripture itself. What does this actually mean? Great large concepts must be boiled down to the concrete reality in the here and now, but the concrete reality in the here and now must comprehend the huge structure that is intended to be built from it.
In The Uncommon Christian Walk we left the common Christian standing on this side of the Jordan to dwell in the comfortable desert of familiarity while we stepped across in unconventional faith to war with unconventional giants. The problem is that in our present three-dimensional reality we have not yet finished that crossing on the timeline of our forth-dimension positioning. In otherwords; the physical day of fulfillment has not yet come. But speaking spiritually in the fifth-dimension, as individuals, some of us are already dwelling on the other side while temporally we are, like Joshua and Caleb, practical in faith while wandering the desert with the great volume of the intellectual in faith. Hidden among those who presently appear just like us, we are patiently waiting for the day of temporal crossing to catch up with our spirit:

“Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn” Matthew 13:30.

In the meantime, I daily bump into these intellectual Christians who have already refused, or have at least decided to refuse, to cross, which in effect bundles them for the soon burning as they die off naturally in the heat of the desert life they chose for themselves, at least in a surface layered meaning (I Corinthians 3:15).

So if the determination of “who will cross and who will not” has already been declared, why do I continue to preach conversion? Well, I am no longer preaching to the old generation of believers but to their children. Now don’t misunderstand; I am not referring to the present portion of their temporal lifespan but as a Type I am speaking to the young in faith or even those who might not yet be born into the faith at all. Between now and the temporal day of crossing there is still time to explain to the younger generation about the river just ahead of them and the faith they must have BEFORE they get there to cross. That needed faith comes by crossing it NOW spiritually in the perspecitive of understanding. In otherwords; they need to grasp the life-altering concept that there is a future home planned for their life beyond this nasty desert they were born in and now call home (Genesis 20:1,21:34, Hebrews 11:9-10=I Peter 1:17-19+).
But of course, as we have learned to expect, there are sub-groups within that group of youths, and in our information age that is hungry for details but unable to comprehend larger concepts found “between the lines” (II Timothy 3:7), we need to spell out the specifics for them. This is the actual primary reason why Joshua and Caleb were sent in as spies the first time but then required to wander the desert with the others!
As we must acknowledge by the facts of life, there were all ages of children that stood at the bank of the river and watched their parents refuse to cross (Deuteronomy 1:25-26).

“Moreover your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, and your children, which in that day had no knowledge between good and evil, they shall go in thither, and unto them will I give it, and they shall possess it” Deuteronomy 1:39.

Some of the “prey” little ones were almost adults themselves but still too young to be personally accountible (Numbers 1:3), and there were those innocent children who were so young they hardly even remember being there (Numbers 14:31), and then there are those who were born in the desert after the refusal, who only heard of the river second-hand (Deuteronomy 1:39).
Each of these age-groups will have a different reaction to Caleb’s regular tabernacle-side talks while they wander the desert growing up; some will be hardened to Caleb’s message by what they personally saw long ago, some will be struggling to apply Caleb’s words against what they recall that they think they saw like it was a vague dream, while others will hear the words of Caleb as sure and confident as a still pending first promise that has no strings of complexity; “Mr. Caleb was actually there!”
But all the while each child has virtually every other adult voice in the camp, including their own parents when they come home excitedly from Caleb’s talks, speaking against the fool Caleb for his unrealistic ideas of religious fantasy that has no practical application in the desert:

“Child, get your head out of the clouds; Moses is here with us in the desert, and life is all about finding food and firewood and setting up camp after the day’s grind. Just follow Moses every day and don’t worry about the rest.”

That generation of Old-Timers, whose authority of knowledge is secured in the fact that they were the generation that followed Moses ‘in the days of miracles,’ is long past the exciting faith of their youth looking for the Promised Land. They made their choice and refused to cross when they had the chance, they don’t struggle with their faith anymore; they have put the failed struggle behind them as a thing of the past that is no longer relevant to their life beyond a meaningless dream of days gone by. The problem is that by their position of authority they discourage and confuse the generation that can go in! (Matthew 23:15,28).

“But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in” Matthew 23:13.

It’s perhaps the oldest of the children that really struggle with their faith. They remember clearly that river, they saw the fear of the reality of war that caused their parents to refuse; “It’s too hard,” they heard them say (Deuteronomy 1:27-28). And in their private thoughts they know that if they were old enough they too would have refused because of the fear.
But they are not yet rejected; there is still a chance… but the fear! Oh the paralyzing fear!

These children are now adults, most with children of their own, they are the new social leaders of the desert people with their parents now settled contentiously in the “Old Folks Home.” This next generation are still wandering in the desert, still waiting for that dreaded day of decision (Hebrews 10:27), still afraid, …but still hoping for a breakthrough in faith before it’s too late! (Joshua 5:5+7).
I am speaking to them.

So how do you know if you’re one of these grown children or one of the rejected adults? It’s easy:

“For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth…But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons” Hebrews 12:6,8.

As a full-fledged Godless former Christian, are you still fighting hard against Christ like you can’t escape him, such as does Richard Dawkins (http://richarddawkins.net/), or similarly, as a struggling Christian, are you wrestling with God in the fear and confusion of a faith that might not be enough? ...or is the issue dead in your heart and where you once felt a passionate fire of either fight or love, you now feel nothing either way?

“I (Jesus) know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot” Revelation 3:15.

I’m not addressing those that have already made the final choice of refusal and are now peacefully content to say: “It is the LORD: let him do what seemeth him good” (I Samuel 2:24-25+27-36+3:12-14=3:17-18), but rather I am speaking to those who still have the opportunity of active choice as evidenced by their ongoing struggle (jihad) of decision.

“So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth (vomit) Revelation 3:16.

“If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death.
There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it”
I John 5:16 (I Samuel 4:10-22 in light of his previous sin unto death).

“All unrighteousness is sin: (266)
And there is a sin
(266) not unto death (*1).
We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth
(264) not (either unto death or not unto death); but he that is begotton of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not (see Psalm 91).
And
(by this condition) we know that we are of God, and (in contrast) the whole world lieth in wickedness” I John 5:17-19.

266 hamarita; from 264; sin (properly abstract):-- offence, sin (-ful).
264 hamartano; …properly, to miss the mark (and so not share in the prize), i.e. (figuratively) to err, especially (morally) to sin…

“…I (Jesus) pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine” John 17:9.

“And (by the power of not sinning in a world of wickedness) we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life (as opposed to a false God and a faith unto unrighteousness of death).
Little children, keep yourselves from idols
(false God or gods). Amen” I John 5:20.
* * *

But here is the tough part:
Unlike the happy go lucky obedient children of innocence that need no law (I Timothy 1:9), You are wearing out God’s patience! (Hebrews 3:9-12+6:8-9). In your many years of “faith” you are loosing the battle with your life-long fear and confusion because of your non-negotiable unrighteousness that you demand Christ accept as your baggage if he is to marry you.
But there is yet a last few days of hope to get your mind right. The answer is simple… but I don’t say it is easy.

The answer is not as easily found in this portion of complex topics; it’s found in the first collection of Posts made into the Book; The Uncommon Christian Walk. In fact it’s found in the first chapter titled On Tongues (Post 227 http://when-did-reason-die.blogspot.com/2011/12/on-tongues.html).
This present collection titled; Preparing The Way of The Lord is a discussion for the younger in faith who know no fear because they believe, or will believe, in Jesus the very real Christ as the Maker and sustainer of all things normal and strange. They look at giants to conquer and think “Wow! This is going to be exciting!” (*2). This is why you send bold “invincible” youths to war and not their “wise” and fearful parents (*3).“Be strong and very courageous”!

Yes, I will continue to speak in the fifth-dimension perspective, and I haven’t even shown that door opened more than a crack yet! But in this collection I want to take a pause and address the gridlocked Christian who has tried for years but without success to overcome their fear.
I am going to show you in very simple language the answer that you have long found elusive. It’s simple, it’s very simple, but it’s not easy. And because it’s not easy you still need more foundational support to almost forcefully root the truth that has eluded your belief for so long because your foggy ground is fallow as concrete and you just can’t hear what is shouted:

“For thus saith the LORD…, Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns (*4). Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart…” (*5) Jeremiah 4:3-4.

This whole passage (through v.22 at least) speaks directly to us today as the spiritual enemy has now broken out onto us, it is no longer coming; it is here, playing out as Typed in the Jeremiah cyclic repeating problems of our temporal world.

The Uncircumcised Heart:
Hardly a day goes by that I don’t speak to at least one “frustrated Christian.”
These are always long term Christians who are familiar with God’s word. They can and do quote scripture easily, and not just random verses out of context; they usually know the wide intellectual parameters of the passage they use, but they use them as intellectual weapons of warfare against all those “idiots” that are “blind fools.” Their deep frustration, even anger bordering on wrath, is focused on “all those hypocritical believers that just don’t get it!”
Let’s call these committed but frustrated Christians; “circumcised in the flesh.” Though Christians, there is something really not at all right in their angry Christian heart…and they know it, and it scares them… but they are too proud in their public intellectual wisdom of faith to admit it openly.

Even when seeking a legitimate answer for themselves, these frustrated Christians that contact me always enter the conversation as the informed teacher and then interrogate me to determine if I am worthy of their degree of wisdom or not. If my answer disagrees with their view then I find myself caught in an instant conflict while they throw scriptures like lead in the civil war, and if my answer agrees with them then I get a quick raised-eyebrow confirmation in a rarly found “brotherhood of agreement between teachers” on that matter and we move on to the next test question of interrogation as if they are hungry for an excuse to fight. Only after passing this gauntlet of intellectual status to determine where I stand in the pecking order of knowledge with them do I get the permission to address a “possible” answer to their question.

So now, having displayed their intellect as a heavily-armed mental-guard at the door of their soul, and having displayed their willingness to shoot anyone as an enemy, who disagrees with their understanding, how do I present the answer to the problem they are trying to solve? Obviously, if they knew the answer they wouldn’t have the problem, but if I give them an answer they don’t already have they will shoot me as a traitor to the faith!
I know this well, because I was once myself among the best at this fight of contention so I know that the contentious mind will refuse to accept what it doesn’t already know, even after I pass the hour-long test of intellectual worthiness to speak.

My only advantage in the face of such a potential battle is that in your spirit you somehow know that above all your scriptural intellect, there is still something seriously wrong with your faith.
But your intellect won’t let the answer pass. How do you let pass what your intellect naturally rejects? Why would you? Isn’t that the very job of your intellect? Obviously you cannot allow something that you don’t believe; You have seen the giants, or at least heard the report first hand, how can I possibly convince you that they are nothing to fear even though technically they can actually kill you?
Here is where my advantage comes in strong; You already know the unshakable truth in your spirit; that your faith is not enough to get you across that river. Although we may disagree regarding the less-than-a-mustard-seed-size of your faith (Matthew 17:20), I don’t need to convince you that it might not be big enough, and that’s why I get the phone-call looking for help from those who already have all the answers.
So I run the gauntlet and survive the interrogation… apparently I am not an ignorant idiot. Now how do I get you to swallow the pill?

“Well it isn’t with talking about fairytales and the fifth-dimension!”

Ya, I know, but that wasn’t for you…
because to you, even if you later accept it as true, it is just so much more intellectual information to add to your civil war arsenal to use against the next guy that “just doesn’t get it.”
The argumentative or contentious heart actually means well, but it is not circumcised and so has no part or lot in this matter (Acts 8:21), which oddly enough is their argument against other Christians that “just don’t get it.” So now, having an angry spirit against not only the enemies of your faith, but against other Christians who disagree with you, How do you claim to be different from the waring houses of Islam in defending your faith?

“Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom” Proverbs 13:10.

How do you well advise the contentious? You don’t!

“The beginning of strife is as when one letteth out water (4325 [not urine!]): therefore leave off contention, before it be meddled with” Proverbs 17:14 [back-preaching abstinence!] (see also Titus 3:9).

“Cast out the scorner (3887), and contention shall go out; yea, strife and reproach shall cease” Proverbs 22:10. (See Psalm 1:1).

Scorner 3887 luwts; a primitive root; properly, to make mouths at, i.e. to scoff; hence (from the effort to pronounce a foreign language) to interpret, or (generally) interceded:-- ambassador, have in derision, interpreter, make a mock, mocker, scorn (-er, -ful), teacher.

So we see that the chemical composition of contention is scorn due to the establishment of a false premise as a foundation. A scornful Christian is therefore one who presents as an authorized teacher but mocks God by dramatically over-interpreting the details of scripture to mean something other than what God intended. Go ahead and read the definition again in light of the chemical composition to confirm this offering. Where does this leave the “Fair and Balanced” discussion with a scorner, beliver or not? You don’t argue with weeds… or thorns, you simply plow them under in making ready for a good crop/righteous nation.
* * *

Contentious Christians live in a great fear of failure. They are literally paranoid that some rogue doctrine will slip in unnoticed and lead them or others astray (Psalm 15:3b, I Samuel 25:39), and so they are extremely diligent to remain ever vigilant on guard against such error on the microscopic level. And how do you argue with that? Of course we should be vigilant against error:

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world” I Peter 5:8.

But have you ever met a paranoid Christian?

Paranoia: Psychiatry. A chronic mental disorder characterized by systematized delusions of persecution and of one’s own greatness, sometimes with hallucinations.

That sounds a lot like vigilance. But that is for another discussion. My point is that this debilitating fear is not faith; it’s the illusion, by vigilance in an exhausting number of fronts, that you are faithfully avoiding being devoured by the devil. But that illusion is in fact the devil’s teeth as you are frayed!

“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death” Revelation 21:8 (that’s Hell, just in case you weren’t sure; Revelation 20:14-15).

Why would Jesus include the fearful in this list of far more deserving iniquities? Well obviously they are not so “far more deserving” as one might think! God classes fearfulness in the same category as unbelieving, and unbelieving with the other more obvious listed iniquities. Like the periodic table, these iniquities “are arranged in a group by their atomic number in such a way that the periodic properties (chemical periodicity) of the elements are made clear.”
So how is that grouping actually justified when you fully believe but are still fearful? In fact, your fear is because you believe! You believe that you must one day cross that river of death, you believe that faith will get you there, and you believe that the devil is trying to trick you into failing. That’s a lot of believing, so if I am fearful of failing God how can that be classed in with the unbelieving (and worthy of hell)?
Again that’s easy; This kind of fearfulness is a lack of faith (as opposed to other kinds of fear; as in “fear the LORD”).

“Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you. Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped” Isaiah 35:4-5.

The fearful will read this as “the fear will continue until God comes” but read the passage further; the fear is abated at your response to the command to be strong because God has promised to save you. Your fear is because you don’t believe the declaration!
And as much as you might intellectually think that faith and belief are the same thing, they are not: Belief is focused in the future, while faith is focused in the now based on the future!

“Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble (for what’s coming). But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?” James 2:19-20.

So we see that although Jesus himself classes fearfulness and unbelieving in the same chemical periodicity (predictable relationship *6), by listing them individually we also see that they are not exactly the same things. This comes through when he declares that each individual iniquity listed in this category “shall have their part” in that collective lake. Same lake; different “specific placement in periodic order” so to speak.
So while you are diligent to practice your fear because you confuse it with belief of the very real danger that is in conflict with the Christ you believe in, your fearfulness simply reveals your lack of faith.

“How is that possible?”

Because your fearful belief is actually focused on the due future destruction of failure and not on the present saving power of the Lord Jesus. If you actually had faith in Jesus you would not be fearful! This should make logical sense and confirm the flaw in your faith that you already know exists, even though you believe.

“OK, But that doesn’t explain how to fix it.”

Well, it actually does. Let’s read the last half of that last verse again:

“…But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?” James 2:20b.

“But I AM WORKING!” you cry, “That’s what all the discerning contention is for!”

Your soul is literally bursting with your contention against every corruption infraction and error, you are worn out with your vigilance against the wiles of devil and “the fools that don’t understand,” you have faithfully battled this army of demons so long you would simply drop from hopeless exhaustion if you could but your firm faith will not let you quit; because you BELIVE! You will fight these demons to your last breath; “I will not surrender!” is your conviction of faith.
Great.
How’s that working out for you?

And if I told you to surrender, you would turn on me with that same demon-slaying sword so quick I could not explain myself.
Wisdom says; “One does not reach into a dogfight to save his animal,” so what should I do to help?
Well we all know the above I Peter 5:8-9 but who remembers vs.10-11?

“But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen” I Peter 5:10-11.

Do you long to be made Perfect? Stablished? Strengthened? Settled? Are these things only obtainable after you die? Is God so weak that he cannot help you here while your spirit battles within your flesh? Hardly! Joshua and Caleb walked in the desert until all their graduating class died of old age, yet they spent that entire time Perfect, Stablished, Strengthened, and Settled! I know this personally because our Lord has done the same for me… And that after fighting so long and hard the battle of a contentious spirit that got me nowhere! God will not reach into your fight until you stop biting and gnashing every shadow in fear. But don’t give up to the devils; rather give up to God.

“BUT HOW!” you cry exasperated.

I know personally your fear that if you stop fighting for a single moment you will fall exhausted into the clutches of the Devil that keeps you fighting for every breath against your own lusts to do evil, and you are sure that if you let go you will fall and never recover; you are that weary. I know.

Are you really ready for the answer? I’m going to assume that you are:

Give up your sin.

That’s it. Give up your sin.
I told you it was simple!

(If that answer is disappointingly anti-climactic please see II Kings 5:13).
Your lifelong doctrine of Dirty Grace is the single Kony alter of power that the Devil has over you as a Christian, just as he did with the Ugandans. All the demons you fight off daily come like sharks to the blood… that YOU keep putting into the water! (and I mean Water in the sense of our earlier elemental discussions).
The Devil has you fighting off his demonic sharks so diligently that you have not had the time to lift up your head and see the drawing cause:

“As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come” Proverbs 26:2.

Sit on a park bench and wait for a wandering bird to come. It won’t, though it will sure act like it will if you just wait long enough. Likewise a swallow does not swoop down to strike your head without a cause.
Get out your bread and the wandering bird will come, walk near its nest full of hatchlings and feel the wrath of the swallow.
If they come, there is a cause.
Your denominationally approved “Jesus of dirty grace” bastardizes grace by its allowed sin of unrighteousness by calling it something else. To borrow the moral of a fairytale, your king has no clothes. And it takes the uncomplicated mind of a child, unintoxicated by “Spiritual Correctness,” to see this obvious truth.

“…But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?” James 2:20b.

You who know the scriptures so well, and can quote many isolated verses that proclaim salvation is utterly without works and “those idiots just don’t get it”; YOU are completely blind to the fact that although faith brings salvation, they are not the same thing! Faith survives in works exclusive of the state of free salvation. So you are saved, Great! but your faith is dying or already dead because you refuse to give up your worksless sin of unrighteousness.

“But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen” I Peter 5:10-11.

As God’s chastised adult child, how long will you suffer in your salvation of God’s grace until you learn to be obedient, not by the law requiring obedience but by the desire to be obedient?!

“Because that Abraham (without the law) obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws” Genesis 26:5.

I thought this was Abraham; You know, the guy that came before the Law of Moses!? So what commandments, statutes, and laws is God talking about? Not the ones that Moses wrote down but those that Abraham heard from the Spirit of God himself; those that he knew were the right thing to do. How did he know? Because he walked with God and heard his voice; the voice of charges, commandments, statutes, and laws.
It’s never been about the law, but nonetheless it has always been about obedience.
Justify your addiction to sin by labeling it a “lawful alternative medication practice” but a Heroin addict is always a Heroin addict as long as he keeps using Heroin.
* * *

Heroin:
I told you it was simple, but not easy.
A heroin addict is still the son of his father. The one has little to do with the other, but the other greatly affects the one!
An addict rarely does not know all the right information:

It will kill me (it is unto death).
It has destroyed my life.
It greatly hurts my father and family.
It is something I really, really must give up.
It’s a simple choice.

The problem is that in spite of the intellectual knowledge, a heroin addict will remain a heroin addict as long as he loves the high more than he loves his father.

“Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God” II Timothy 3:4 (another collection of periodically grouped iniquities).

An addict can go through all the confusing mindgame semantics about hating the heroin, wanting to quit, and swearing off of it “so help me God,” but as long as he keeps using, it is all an intellectual argument… even when filled with real passion (Hebrews 12:17). Likewise intellectual faith is utterly meaningless until actually implemented in reality.

Give up the sin you love. It’s that easy. And that hard.

They say it takes about ten days to detox from Heroin cold turkey. TEN DAYS! That’s it.
The rest is simply a mind game of rejecting the former familiar love and seeing it as a new mortal enemy. Do not nurture the emotion of attraction, even for a second, when it comes in like waves of the sea, as it most certainly will.
This battle can only be won when you choose to DEMAND OF YOURSELF the clean-life for its very nature of being clean. This is perhaps most easily exampled by a girl’s “Heroin” of a bad boyfriend, who when she throws him out she does fine for a while, until he comes around again and she forgets that grinning beautiful man that pulls on her heart is the cause of all her pain.
The problem is that for most addicts, they have been hooked on their sin for so long that to them “being clean” means that place somewhere between withdrawals and overdose. It never occurs to them that they can actually be clean (*7). This is the mindframe in a faith of Dirty Grace that specializes in a “controlled sin” accepted socially as permissively workable by both God and man. An intoxicated society will not condemn your Dirty Grace Faith and neither will the apostate church. So by the plethora of wickedness all around us there is virtually no hope of breaking free from this wicked environment of sin users… unless we are really and truly and tangibly born of a real and true and living God… as our scriptures have claimed all along!

"We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotton of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness” I John 5:18-19.

The all-too-common hook of relapse like Crib-Death to a newborn who survived his birth, is the “harmless pinch, just to take the edge off.” There is no such thing. You are an addict or you are not, there is no “Ok little bit” for you, and your great Hunger for it is proof. Learn to watch for the Hunger itself as the enemy that needs an immediate boot on the neck, regardless of the specific that the hunger wants at the moment.

Here is a striking revelation: If you never try to swear off Heroin you will never know you’re addicted. Want proof? Give up your music for 10 days. Or give up TV for 10 Days. Give up shopping, clubbing, eating, a bad boyfriend, or whatever particular questionable unrighteousness you can’t imagine yourself without, pick just one, just for 10 days. Go ahead (*8).

Now think about it; You don’t have time to really get to know God intimately beyond the obligatory “five minute quickie devotion” and if your really serious, a weekly “date night” for an hour at church, but you can’t give up a single one of a long list of questionable luxuries that rob time with God.
And as long as this remains safely intellectual it’s an interesting concept to ponder. But I have actually done virtually every one of these on the list I just gave you, and others, more than once (uh- modifying the boyfriend bit obviously).
I don’t mean it intellectually, I am not speaking intellectually, It’s not intellectual. In the drug world lingo we call it Detox, Jesus calls it a Fast (Matthew 17:21).

Cold turkey detox (or fast) with accountable prevention (prayer) is required to even experience “clean” for the first time in memory, in order to have a baseline from which to evaluate true reality rather than the illusion of reality. There might be a “sin not unto death” but now that you are an addict to sin that has wrecked your faith-- as evidenced by your troubled spirit and contentious heart and a secret uncontrollable addiction-- a “sin not unto death” is irrelevant to you at this point. For you, there is no such thing; All sin is unto death because you are personally irresponsible. Your Dirty Grace Jesus is the source of that irresponsibility that tells you “It’s no big deal.”

A working definition of Detox is to stop all incoming Drug; the working definition of Repentance is to turn the other way from Sin. Do not look back like Lot’s wife (Genesis 19:26). The Great War in the experience of actual application is always a failure to drive a stake of faith in the name of Christ that reads:

“NEVER A SECOND LOOK, EVEN FOR A SECOND.”

“And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God”
Luke 9:62 (Note: not just the kingdom of heaven).

And that landmark stake includes a caveat to make an instantaneous flight to safety if you find yourself re-evaluating that vow even a little. That caveat is important because the drawing power of the past love is mysteriously sly. If Christ is not your entire life, forevermore, without a permitted sin, then you are not dwelling in his Psalm 91 secret place of great help, so don’t expect the battle to let up anytime soon as the sharks keep coming to the fresh blood. You might be fine with that but don’t continue to call it faith, because that is a breach of the third commandment (Exodus 20:7), which Jesus makes clear is not redacted, even a little (Matthew 5:17-18).

Church and State:
Just as we saw that America is utterly doomed to failure because as a virtue they have diligently and forever segregated Church from State, so is doomed the Christian that has separated Law from Grace in the name of a Dirty Grace Jesus.

“But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;” Romans 3:21.

In this temporal existence the spirit and the body are inseparably integrated into a single unit; speaking simplistically the law applies to the flesh and the grace applies to the spirit. This is a complex arrangement like the laws of Lift and Gravity, where lift seems to eradicate gravity but actually needs gravity in order to operate at all. Although the modern Christian has been convinced otherwise, the secular Pagan scientific world has just discovered the reality and possibilities of what this actually means. And for the most part the Christian church is completely unaware.

“And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light” Luke 16:8.

Although the unjust steward did not handle his power properly, he did use it wisely to his corrupted advantage. As I wrap up the simple Assyrian topic, we will soon begin discussing that New Age of Babylon in mishandled power, where the results of this scientific comprehension becomes very real in our everyday lives. The Christian whose faith and life remain functionally segregated don’t stand a chance of spiritual survival.

“And he (the Assyrian) shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High…” Daniel 7:25a.

I intend to later show that those great words will be your own scriptural principles and prophecies against you! If your “frustrated Christian spirit” is using scripture verses as your ammo, this guy will eat you alive! Choose instead to actually hate the intoxicatingly “VERY good feeling” that your unrighteousness gives you as comfort, because now you know that it is your destruction. Learn to covet the wonderfully clean life of clarity and power that is lived without the drug of sin. Even great words have no power over tested personal experience…if you have already carefully studied their arguments against the pure life. THIS is the usefulness of prophecy in the last days!

(*1) A Sin Not Unto Death?
James makes it seem pretty clear that all sin leads to death:

“But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin (266): and sin (266), when it is finished, bringeth forth death” James 1:14-15.

So where does John come off telling us that “there is a sin not unto death”?
By my provided application Type we can more easily see that James is speaking of a progression of events that end at the result of death if not stopped, and so we grasp that John is speaking of sin near the beginning of the process (lust) and another sin near the end of the process, much as unregulated use of painkillers naturally leads to heroin and heroin to death if all is left to run its free course.
So is John suggesting that we don’t pray for people hooked by the addiction of sin? No. Note that John says specifically; “There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it; “It,” not “him.” This is not a simple explanation but might reasonably be understood by the command that forbids a declaration of “God speed” to one practicing the faith though unworthy of the faith (II John 2:8-11). See I Timothy 4:1-8,6:35, Hebrews 6:1-2. Do not pray God’s blessing and aid to someone given over to iniquity without restraint or guilt. Rather leave them to their sin and let it run it’s course that they may finally come to realize they no longer want or love it and so repent (I Corinthians 5:3-5).
But eventually the “it” and “him” become merged into one and so we are not to pray for either (Jeremiah 7:16, 11:14). In short, like Eli, they already made their choice, leave them be (I Samuel 16:1).

(*2) An Exciting War:
Do not misinterpret my meaning. It has been rightly stated; “War is Hell.”
But now I finally comprehend what it is about winter that has thrilled me my whole life. Summer is easy, it’s pleasant, it’s comfortable, but in summer is when Alaskans put in 16-18 hours a day of hard labor; it’s the time to work, and a good part of that work is to prepare for winter.
But winter, though tough and cold and unpleasant, is the time when Alaskans go home and hibernate from work. We unwind, we play hard, we ride snowmachines, and hunt and trap and sit by the fire and read. Winter is the time, because of the toughness of the conditions, to rejuvenate from the summer’s work. Winter is when we apply all that we accumulated in summer.
In Type, the harshness of spiritual Winter is the time to put away the mundane stresses of a common life and focus solely on loving God and your neighbors for survival (Matthew 22:36-40). Rather than simply existing to work; winter is when you really feel alive because now you are “really living” in a climate that reminds you of the alternative that is ever present in your activities.
As a skinny guy I really don’t like being cold…at all. But because I am well prepared with the garments that keep me warm even while facing the full blast, I can actually experience the winter in a different light than if I was out there without proper attire (Zechariah 3:3-4, Revelation 3:4, 16:15). Think about it.

“I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness…” Isaiah 61:10.

A robe worn over your garments handles the winter winds far more effectively than without it! (see also: Job 29:14, 37:17). So you’re clothed in salvation but missing the robe of righteousness? You’re going to freeze to death this Winter my friend!

“Even of late my people is risen up as an enemy: ye pull off the robe with the garment from them that pass by securely as men averse from war” Micah 2:8.

God’s own people by today’s retreat from the war, as if they were the enemy, strip away not only the robe of righteousness but even the garment of salvation from their fellow brethren! You coward! Get back into the war!

(*3) Wise Old Parents:
It is important to make clear that we are not discussing a temporal lifespan beyond using it as a Type of “time in faith.” Joshua and Caleb were not children when they entered the Promised Land the second time at the eventual crossing; Caleb was forty years old when the people refused (Joshua 14:6-7) and so after forty more years of wandering he was eighty when they went in to war, but he fought like a youth (Joshua 1:5, Isaiah 40:31) and battled five years to finish his mission for the people (Joshua 14:10), concluding with the following declaration at 85 years of age!

“As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in” Joshua 14:11.

Are you really going to excuse that away as the delusional perspective of a very old man, or are you going to believe God when he promises to fulfill in you what he created you to do, if you will obey… regardless of the temporal circumstances that deem it impossible (Isaiah 40:29-31). Caleb made this crazy declaration…and then backed it up by going in and lastly conquering a well renowned “tough part” of all the land, which was promised to him personally as his reward (Joshua 14:12-15).
My reference to “wise old parents” is representing those so long in the faith that by passing through the “honeymoon phase” they grew comfortable in familiarity until they forgot to remain vigilant and faithful, and so compromised their faith to the point of powerlessness, but grew so content in that state that they had no desire to fix it.
This is a very critical warning as the more comfortable you get with God the more intimate the relationship and therefore the more potential to succumb to comfortable familiarity without fear of offence. The resulting condition of unbecoming unrighteousness slips up so smoothly that it is often practically impossible to avoid, though the signs are always there.
The sure evidence that takes a surprisingly difficult discovery is a realization that God’s interest in you seems to be waning. Stay very alert to recognizing this sign early, and never ignore the truth that the cause is always a degree of unrighteousness! As you slip away unaware, that truth that you knew so surely, will also be as difficult to hold onto as a handfull of water. The second you realize what happened run to God as a former addict runs from an alluring temptation. The consequences of delay are unspeakable because it’s there that you rekindle old flames of beautiful destruction!

Instead of learning what to expect in your relationship with God by the example experienced in your marriage, learn what to expect in your marriage by your example experienced with God! As Caleb’s perpetual youth, even as he grew old, there should never be an “endurance phase” of a dried up marriage because of time. The secret lies in the perpetually youthful consuming love of God himself! Sin = the spiritual weakness of old age that should not come at all, even when you’re 85!

(*4) Sow Not Among Thorns: This of course is what Jesus was speaking of in his parable of the sower (Matthew 13:7), but don’t miss Genesis 3:18-19 that tells us thorns will be the natural ground that we must till by sweat and hard work, eradicating the thorns before we plant the good seed. Today, in direct disobedience we have accepted the concept of Dirty Peace through Dirty Grace that tells us we can infact sow our good seed among thorns, avoiding all the hard work.
It sorta adds dimension to Exodus 22:6 regarding Social Uprising doesn’t it?
This concept easily bleeds into vv.7-8 as our Government is putting it’s hand unto our goods, in partisanship with the thief, but shrugging; “What?”
Either find the thief or bring the government itself to trial, this is God’s way.

(*5) Circumcise Yourselves?
Though “traditionally American” for so long that it is simply a custom without any support more than “it’s Christian” (how, I have no idea), circumcision unto God still retains a very powerful affect.
The one fact that even today remains very powerful, is that once circumcised you can’t go back. (That is now of course arguable by today’s extreme medical procedures). In short, circumcision can be made for any number of meaningless causes, this is why God commanded his people; “Circumcise yourselves to the LORD.” This is an unchangeable outward sign of a life commitment to God, that hide it or not, by its undisputed fact of being, declares to yourself that you belong to God. But although such a physically outward sign is perhaps necessary, like baptism, this physical condition is not the point. God adds to his command; “and take away the foreskins of your heart.”
By comprehending the meaning and affect of the physical circumcision we are able to comprehend the meaning and affect of the spiritual circumcision that it Types; that is, a non-retractable dedication to God that cannot easily be rescinded even if we later wish to. The circumcision of the heart is not so physical, or permanent, but by physical circumcision you get the idea of what it means to your heart. By circumcising your heart, you permanently cut away the unrighteous indulgences of desire, which is a sure sign that you are God’s, because nobody does such a thing! Even if later you want to return to “Egypt,” this option is not available; You can die struggling in the wilderness from fear and unbelief, but you cannot return to Egypt because of the miraculous Red Sea crossing of baptism, i.e. circumcision. God, who owns you now, by your circumcision unto him, will not allow it. The reason is not for cruelty; it’s because he really wants you across that Jordan River! The unpleasant desert as your only alternative is a great encouragement to help you go.

The point of declaring a self-circumcision is the meaning of CHOOSE! Choose to be Mine, COMMIT IRREVOKABLY and FULLY, where you know there is simply NO GOING BACK. REMOVE ALL POSSIBLE RETREATS FROM YOUR HEART at a life changing moment in time. Circumcise yourself (your heat), because at 8 days old it was not a choice you made when your parents dedicated you to God. Fulfill your birthright that they gave you by it, or claim it for yourself if they didn’t! Circumcise your heart and claim the birthright that has little to do with the flesh beyond a helpful primer in Type. (Galatians 5:6, 6:15, Ephesians 2:11-22, Colossians 2:11,3:11, I Corinthians 7:18-19, Romans 4:12).

In all reality this is the same point of marriage (before the meaning and commitment was corrupted by an easy divorce). Originally marriage was nothing like “living together” because of the one-way ticket that was attached to it; “forsaking all others…till death do us part” was more than meaningless words in the vow to later be rescinded because you changed your mind. Family, friends, society, church, and even governments, were the witnesses that would not allow a casual reversal. Without a very good reason it was just not allowed by the social practice of a righteous people. You were forced by a lack of options to work at it until successful. This is the meaning of circumcision and this is why our Godless governments are working so hard to make it actually illegal in the flesh.
The repulsive reaction as “a barbaric act” to the Muslims circumcising their little girls “unto the lusts of men,” is in fact Satan’s wonderful confusion of complexities by corruption that will eventually support the Legislation that makes circumcision unto God a crime. Like the unjust steward, you gotta admit; though twisted, it’s genius for Satan’s ultimate purposes!

(*6) Periodicity: Quality or state of being periodical, or regularly recurrent; specifically: a. chemically; The position of an element in the periodic table. b. Electrically; Frequency.

Periodical: 1. Periodic. 2. Published with a fixed interval (more than one day) between the issues or numbers;…

Periodic: 1. Of, pertaining to, or performed in, a period, or regular revolution, of a heavenly body. 2. Occurring at regular stated times; loosely, recurring; intermittent. 3. Rhetorically; Expressed in, or characterized by, periods, especially periodic sentences.

(*7) How do you help a sin-addict overcome his addiction?
You persuade him to submit himself to be locked away from his “Heroin” until it is purged from his system, and then after that, you hold his hand while showing him all the real joys that a life in Christ can offer without the drug until he becomes stable on his own feet. That’s descriptively called discipling (Matthew 28:20). Are you addicted to your sin? Go get help! Confess it, become accountable, and for at least 10 days of detox get yourself where it is virtually unavailable to you by any means, then when the toxin is out of your familiar habit system and you can think more clearly about life without it, begin to renew your mind:

“I beseech (implore) you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy (free of illicit addictions), acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God” Romans 12:1-2.

It is my belief that in today’s information age of multitasking stresses and fast paced lifestyles designed to keep you harried, it is almost imperative that you get and use an MP3 type player of the spoken bible as a spiritual “vitamin supplement” to absorb even more scripture than you can read in your regular studies. I use mine every night as I drift off to sleep and every morning as I wake up, and on my drives to town and back. By listening to whole sections at a time as if the write himself is simply talking, you can pick up significant concepts to be explored in depth as you later study. Not to do so, would almost be accountably irresponsible since we have the availability in this age.

I do not pretend that the Heroin of sin is not scary pleasant. It is soooo smooth as a pleasure and a comforter that it just feels like it belongs. It’s Siren call is so alluring that the strongest are made impotent once it reaches the eyes of awareness and the ears of consideration, and after the experience it’s call is that much more compounded. The pre-preparation of dwelling in the secret place of the Almighty is the only means of resisting. The singular secret is the focus not on the addiction but on God himself as the one to be loved.
I realize this will sound like doctrinal heresy to the many Christians dwelling in sin and guiltlessly excusing it by the false understanding of Grace, but my great and unspeakable regular joy is to now wake up in the morning, shower and shave, and then show up to prayer before the throne of God all the while experiencing being clean and not just begging for it from a regular fallen state. And then at the end of day I can usually (I John 2:1) crawl into bed in the same condition!
I am crying at the top of my voice; YOU CAN, AND MUST, LIVE CLEAN AND FREE OF SIN, EMPOWERED BY JESUS CHRIST! but you first have to believe it’s possible, and this while living in a wicked world where every voice is telling you it cannot be done on this side of the river.
If you believe that; YOU WILL NOT CROSS AT ALL! (Hosea 8:11-12).

(*8) Questionable Unrighteousnesses:
I marvel at God’s very intricate creation that so accurately Types the spiritual.
There are so many various unquestionable unrighteousnesses, just as there are so many various illegal drugs. These are known as illicit, and nobody, even users, argue that they are illegal. Sure, they might argue that they don’t agree with the law but the argument itself confirms that they know it’s unlawful. These are Typed as Christians who use illicit unrighteousnesses while defending that use.
But who would have foreseen the theft of prescription drugs from those to whom they were not illicit? Now we have a whole new argument of confusion regarding the justification for some activities of unrighteousness that are not “unto death” for some, but are “unto death” for others.
And yet again, Who would have foreseen the crazy use of hairspray, spraypaint, whipped-cream, hobby glue, and a near unending list of everyday wholesome things corrupted to create a high. What’s wrong with eating, or shopping, or TV, etc.; “These are not unrighteous,” is the argument of defense, and I wholeheartedly agree… but the use is, and that use clearly shows the level of perversion the addicted have reached. Likewise, many perfectly acceptable things that fill the lives of Christian people are simply “occupiers” for the obscure purpose of keeping them too busy to make time with God. This is unrighteousness. And by the epidemic level of extremes today, it seems most probably they are unto death.
