(re-read Genesis 6:1-7)
“There were giants (5303 nephiyl or nephil) in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men…” Genesis 6:4a.
This KJV English translation “giants” suggests that these nephil were men of great stature and was most probably used here because Numbers 13:25-33 clearly ties these two concepts together though in a time long removed from the days of Noah:
“And they (the Exodus spies) returned from searching of the (promised) land after forty days…We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we…all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature. And there we saw the giants (5303 nephil), the sons of Anak, which come of the giants (5303): and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight” Numbers 13:25, 31,32b,33.
The archeological evidence tends to agree, both with unexplainably huge stones of ancient construction in those regions, as well as excavated skeletons of men so large it defies the mind to accept it even with the evidence lying there before ones eyes…. even without the additional doubts now cast on the photographic evidences (*1).
But what seems to boldly shout; “WAIT A SECOND!” in this passage, is always overlooked by the growing number of eager preachers regarding the Nephilim as fallen angels and their resulting giant hybrid children;
How did the Giants survive the flood of Noah?
Did God fail in his efforts to cleanse the earth as he intended (v.7)? Did some of the giants actually survive the flood of judgment to continue even up to the time when the Hebrews conquered the Promised Land many hundreds of years later (*2)? Since the angels that took human wives were locked up as Jude 6 and II Peter 2:4 declare, we would have to come to this conclusion if the giants were the result of the angel’s “strange flesh” fornication; The giants had to have continued from before the flood.
But this is not scripturally possible, as sin never escapes God’s judgment without payment. EVER. To believe so is to believe that Jesus sacrificial death is not the only way of escape (John 4:25-26+14:6), so sacrifice is not necessary for atonement (Exodus 29:36-42), and there is another means other than blood to deliver from the judgment of sin (Hebrews 9:22), and therefore there is an element of darkness in God after all (I John 1:5), who lets some judged wickedness pass unaccounted for. To believe that some of the condemned escaped the flood of judgment, other than those who found grace and were so saved by the representational ark (Matthew 24:39), is to abandon the faith entirely and bastardize any remaining elements clung to. No, the giants in the land of Palestine were not of the demonic hybrids that occurred before the Flood, and no such additional “strange flesh” breeding with angels was recorded or noted as going on after the flood.
So where did these giants come from?
Abraham sojourned in that very land for quite some time, even among the Amorites themselves (Genesis 14:13), yet he nor any of his children ever indicated that they ran into any giants or even men of great stature for that matter (Genesis 48:21-22), so it seems apparent that the Amorites must have “become” giants in Palestine (Canaan) after Abraham died and Jacob’s family left for Egypt on their 400 year rabbit-trail (Genesis 15:13-14) but before the Exodus Hebrews returned (Exodus 3:7-8), which was a period of exactly 430 years (Exodus 12:41) plus about 11 months to get there and see giants (Numbers 10:11 minus Exodus 19:1=Numbers 13:17).
So how did the Amorites become giants in 431 years?
Like Moses’ Exodus people on both sides of the Jordan (Joshua 13:12, Deuteronomy 1:20-28,3:13), the people of Esau also faced giants when they conquered their own land earlier (Deuteronomy 2:9-12), as did the children of Lot (Deuteronomy 2:19-22). It seems there were Giants “everywhere” at that time, who apparently were killed off by the wars and conquests before Joshua’s people arrived in Palestine to conquer the last of them (Joshua 12:4,15:8,18:16, Deuteronomy 3:11-13), but struggled and failed to finish them off (Joshua 17:14-18). Some time later King David ran into a few of his own, now famous by the story of David and Goliath of Gath (I Samuel 17:4-8,23-24,) as well as Goliaths four brothers (II Samuel 21:15-22, I Chronicles 20:4-8), presumably why David originally collected 5 stones from the brook when he fought Goliath. The thing is, in these narrations describing these last giants, they are always said to be “the children of the giant (7497 rapha)”. So why not giant (nephil)?

If you will remember in post 260 we discussed idolatry, which seemed to source from the same 7495 rapha.
Idolatry 8655 teraphiym; plural perhaps from 7495; a healer; Teraphim (singular or plural) a family idol:-- idols (-atry), images, teraphim.
It is not hard to see the possibility that this invigorating healer was Satan’s cure for the Jews who were coming back in a declared 400 years to take the land. I propose that this last patriarchal giant was viewed as someone quite special. His sons were not called giants (rapha), but he was. He was the local rapha as their last hope and possibility of restoring the giants lest they be completely wiped out and the land given over to the Hebrews. He was THE Giant and his sons were the last pitiful hope of the lineage, called the sons of the Giant (II Samuel 21:16).
I Chronicles 20:6 seems to make clear that at least one particular son of THE Giant was perhaps not a giant himself but just a “man of great stature” with some noticeable birth defects (six fingers and toes on each limb). Again this suggests that although THE Giant’s sons were very large and even giants themselves (note: Goliath) they just didn’t measure up to their father, in more ways than one.
Now remember, this last great giant in King David’s day was the last of those numerous giants that the Exodus people slew long before when they took the land. Those guys were really, really huge, invigorating men that made Goliath and his brothers hardly noteworthy as giants in comparison, but don’t imagine that means Goliath was a pushover! THE Giant of king David’s day was the last of those earlier “much greater than Goliath” giants.
Our Numbers 13 passage above tells us who these Giants were descended from; they were the sons of Anak, himself a descendent of the line of giants, and not just an oddity. And the word giants/nephil, as the Hebrew spies themselves used it, actually meant; men even larger than the average “men of great stature” that filled all the land, which in further describing what they meant, said they seemed to themselves, as well as to the giants, as if the Hebrews were grasshoppers. Nephil is in fact properly translated as giants and really does mean extremely large men, larger than even unusually large men of great stature… but it also has a far darker foundation than simply “a really big man” as we have already started to discover. So again;
Where did the nephil giants come from if not from the pre-flood fallen angels?

Who was Anak?
Anak 6061 anaq; the same as 6060; Anak, a Canaanite:-- Anak.
Well that doesn’t help much, who were the Canaanites?
“And the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan” Genesis 9:18.
Genesis 9:18 makes very clear that Canaan is to be specifically and unusually noted by his inclusion into this short foundational lineage but does not explain why, though we understand Canaan is the Land of Promise that the whole story is centered around:
Later, Genesis 10:1 begins the normally expected lineage tree of Noah’s three sons; “Shem, Ham, and Japheth” and verse 6 tells us that Canaan was one of four sons of Ham: “Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan”. Obviously some time has lapsed. So why did 9:18 select out only the one son of four sons of one of the three sons of Noah to include in that very short foundational pedigree? What is so special about Canaan?
Verses 15-18 tell us that Canaan had a mess of kids and people groups that “spread abroad”, and verse 19 shows Gaza among the several identified borders of the people group retaining the name Canaanites. The other locations named are far less familiar to our ears today but positively identify the whole land of Israel as the homeland of Canaan. Since God promised Abraham that his children would be given all the land of Canaan as their perpetual home (Genesis 12:5-7+ 17:8, Deuteronomy 34:1-4a), we see the importance of identifying Canaan specifically, and through investigation can then learn why Canaan was to be utterly destroyed and their land forfeited (*3). The giants of Anak were of the more than large Canaanites inhabiting the land long after the flood event.

So what did God have against the Canaanites?
I’m not going to just spill the reason of this first cryptic scriptural connection for the same reason the scriptures masked it, but it clearly is important to Canaan’s doom:
“And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without…And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him. And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren. And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant. God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant” Genesis 9:22,24-27.
So what did Noah’s son Ham actually do unto his father? He made public his father’s condition. But bear with me as we consider that Ham’s son; Canaan’s children, eventually became giants and were utterly wiped out at God’s command and their land taken. The shocking answer of “why” should make itself evident in time….after the surface answer is quietly discovered.
What I find strange at this point in the narration is that, without explanation, only Canaan among his three other brothers is cursed because of what Ham had done unto Noah his father. Even in blessing his other two sons Noah does not curse Ham but just one of his four sons. This is very curious.
Looking carefully at the passage we note that Ham is not actually Noah’s younger son but rather the middle son, and by the immediate curse of Canaan we remember that there is no word for grandson in the original text and so we can conjecture that by the inclusion of Cannan into the earlier short-list of Noah’s sons, this verse is speaking specifically of Canaan as Noah’s younger son and not Ham. SO, what specifically did Canaan do to Noah after his father Ham made known Noah’s condition? The scriptures don’t directly say.
Skipping ahead several generations, we are told that God had a long-range plan for the destruction of Canaan (Genesis 15:16) as well as the related long-range plan for the blessing of Abraham (Genesis 15:13-14), which just so happened to coincide nicely unrelated so to speak.
“But in the fourth generation they (the Hebrews) shall come hither again (to Canaan): for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full” Genesis 15:16.
Amorites 567 Emoriy; probably a patronymic from an unused name derived from 559 in the sense of publicity, i.e. prominence; thus, a mountaineer; an Emorite, one of the Canaanitish tribes:-- Amorite. (*4)
I propose by the definition that the iniquity of the Canaanite Amorites is a public display in proud glory of their unusual high reaching wickedness. God was patiently waiting for them to fill up their iniquity that would be counted worthy of utter destruction and thereby forfeit their land to the Hebrews (Exodus 23:23-24,27-33). God, knowing all things, knew it would take them 400 years after he confirmed the promise to Jacob (Genesis 46:2-4). In the waiting, God sent the Hebrews to Egypt where they would be tried in the fire of oppression in our allegorical preparation of entering into the Promised Land just as God foretold long before (Genesis 15:13-14 =Type Revelation 2:10, II Timothy 3:12).
So what was the iniquity of the Amorites specifically? Again we are not told directly, we only know that it was greater; more publicly prominent than other nations by the very meaning of the name “Amorite”. We can only begin to get the magnitude of their iniquity when we note the specific sins of the other nations that God did not destroy in this way. This must have been some pretty full iniquity indeed, and we see yet another consideration of probable cause by the Jude 6-7/II Peter 2:4-6/Romans 1:26-27 intentionally connected destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, specifically identified neighbors to the Canaanites (Genesis 10:19). Sodom and the surrounding area was specifically destroyed for the iniquity of the sin that got its name from Sodom and is specifically verse against verse connected by Jude and Peter and Paul to the sins of the sons of God in the days of Noah.
It was not Ham that was so greatly cursed by Noah and then by God, it was Canaan. The logic is because if Ham was the guilty party and so cursed, then his other three sons not participating in the event of question must be cursed too. No, it was Canaan’s sin to bear though it was Ham who apparently made the opportunity known to him. When Moses awoke he knew what was done was done by Cannan, because Canaan’s nature had long shown that propensity. Canaan was well on his way to filling up his iniquity only a single generation after the flood, so why did it take so long to reach its limit?That is the million-dollar question! but apparently the sin is not the sole definition of that limit; it takes the foundational iniquity to fill that judgment (Leviticus 18:29, Ezekiel 18:4,20) until it reaches it apex of Amorite shameless.
We are beginning to see that the physical sin is but an allegory of the iniquity of our soul. The flesh is just a temporal image of the eternal soul. Breeding with angels, twisted desires, constantly violent, or becoming nephil/giants, are all just physical representations of our unseen iniquity. Fix the iniquity and the representation simply changes as a result, just like combing your hair changes the image in the mirror (James 1:23-25) but a dirty mirror makes the job harder (I Corinthians 13:12).

How Did They Get To Be Giants?
IF all of humanity was destroyed at least in part because the angels were breeding with women and thereby corrupting the children’s DNA (except for Noah’s, identified as perfect; Genesis 6:8-9), and the offending angels themselves were chained in darkness awaiting judgment, then where did the giants come from after the flood?
The question itself should be proof enough that the giants were not the result of this hybrid condition before the flood. There was another cause. But don’t be confused to think then that the angels were not breeding with nephil women and so also producing giant offspring with additional demonic natures. I am proposing the idea that whatever made those daughters so sexually irresistible was the same thing that made the men giants, and it was not the angels involvement (I didn’t say demons), though the subsequent breeding of angels with nephil women produced the mighty men of renown both of great stature and half-breed angels. These hybrid offspring were indeed called mighty men but not nephil. It was mankind himself who had become so nephilized all on their own; the angels just rode on that coattail!
Being actual giants obviously lends to the hybrid’s status as “Men of Renown” able to remain legend for many hundreds of years, but don’t miss that the word nephil suggests no such thing directly. The root of nephil is naphal meaning “fallen ones” (example: II Chronicles 29:9). That comfortably encompasses both the actual declared “more fallen” (nephil) men and women than their Ademic human ancestors, as well as perhaps the “fallen” (not declared nephil or naphal) angels; the combination perhaps being the doubly accurate meaning of the Nephilim by happen chance being of great stature, but this is not actually the meaning or intent of the passage.
What I find interesting in Genesis 6:4 is the strange additional bit; “…and also after that…” in referencing giants. The awkward inclusion of v.3 between seemingly redundant descriptions of angelic involvement, tells us that there is a noticeable distinction of giants “before vs. after” the angels got involved. Verse 4 continues by describing the distinction with; “also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them…” The awkwardness of the passage is because we assume the same thing is unnecessarily repeated twice before and after God’s v.3 proclamation of displeasure, but it makes perfect sense if we understand the before-and-after-notes speak of distinctions between them: Yes, the angels were clearly involved both before and after God made his dissatisfaction known, so what distinction can be made?
By searching for the distinction we see verse 4 specifically declares these giants to have existed both before and after the fallen angels produced children through their human wives, so we backtrack to find the difference of “before” and we see that though the angels cohabitated with their new wives in v.2 before God made his v.3 declaration, no offspring is mentioned as in the “after” of v.4. It’s clear that God was expressing his disfavor before any children were born to the angels and while there were already giants in the earth. This point seems to be overlooked as trivial when the growing number of scholars now recognizing this whole interesting concept of demonic hybrids sloppily assume it was the angelic interbreeding that created the nephil/giants. The scriptures seem clear to say this is not so simple as that.
I have shown the beginning support that suggests it took the nephilization of mankind to be able to combine with the sons of God to produce the both physically and spiritually ultimate Men of Renown that became legendary as pre-Greek Gods, even more than the mere giants. I propose that without mankind first departing from God by significant degree (naphal), the angels could not have interbred with the women, by force or by consent (*5), and in fact v.2 suggests there was an undefined period when breeding for pleasure was going on without offspring, which was enough for God to make his v.3 complaint.
Why am I dragging this out to such extent? Because we have arrived at the place in time and events when this scriptural warning applies. It wouldn’t be in the scripture if we would never return to fulfill its Type, I am declaring we have now arrived, not so much in the breeding with angels part, but in the pre-nephilization of humanity that leads to it. Some time before there are angelic offspring God voices his declaration that it will not be allowed to continue much longer. That point is the seemingly “approved unions” with angels through “legitimate” marriage as a good and honorable thing, at the same time there are nephil/giants on the earth. What we must do, before it’s too late, is to figure out just how we will fulfill this Type in our particular temporal age, and more importantly what we are doing to bring it on. I hope to later address this topic of “how” in great amazing detail (*6), but first let’s more completely explore this crazy breeding with angels theory to be sure we are on the right track.

(*1) Hoax or Real?
With the electronic age that provides ready access to huge volumes of information and knowledge also comes the even greater volume of digital hoaxes and misinformation. Humanity seems to be quick to imitate anything strange just as did the Pharaoh’s magicians before Moses (Exodus 7:11). The presentation of a successful imitation negates the real thing by introducing valid reason to doubt. Such is the case with aliens.
Because this topic is so unnatural to our perceptions, it takes very little provided reason to doubt in order to utterly reject these declarations of scripture. Among the many real photos of real giant skeletons there are the imitations hoaxes and the Snopes naysayers that invent hoaxes, casting doubts on the real and shocking evidences. It is for this reason that we should not consume huge volumes of time collecting “proof” when the proofs can be so easily discredited whether by honesty or treachery. There is only one single source worthy of our unflinching trust and that is the unerring Word of God. Having established the fact of Giants there, we can expect to find true evidence that supports it.

Because the conquering Hebrews did not complete their command of God and failed to destroy three specific regions of the Canaanites, the giants had remaining seed and David later faced Goliath and his men faced Goliaths four brothers, and the Jews continue to be plagued by the spirit of those same three areas these thousands of years later. The Arabs now contesting possession of Gaza, the Jordanians now contesting possession of Jerusalem, and the Syrians now contesting the Golan Heights are not of the descendants of these Canaanites. In fact Palestine and Jordan were not even nations until created fictitiously after 1948 when Israel became an official nation of that very land now disputed. No, this is a spiritual issue and the demonic forces that were never driven out of those areas remain entrenched there today. This is why logic and reason will never prevail with these most recent human pawns of the Dark Ones who inhabit that soil. But again, the giants are gone, and the fallen angels that took human wives are locked up, so these Dark Ones are not those angels but others; they are the wolves that drove belle back to the Beast.
We still have to look elsewhere for the origin of the giants.
(*4) Amorites vs. Amalekites:
Don’t confuse the Amorite (567) sons of Canaan, with the Amalekite (6002) sons of Esau, also dwelling alongside the Canaanites in the land, which the scriptures are very clear to keep their identities separate (Genesis 15:21, Numbers 13:29,14:25,43,45) because their destructions are for different specific reasons and times and means that we will not get into here.
(*5) The right conditions for sex with angels:
Incubus and succubus are today’s verbiage for such things claimed to be done on rare occasion but never yet documented as true. What was once relegated as the sick imagination of the twisted, became understood as plausible to dedicated followers of Satan, then attributed to ignorant beguiled women trapped in general occult, and now becoming eagerly investigated by curious girls of common society through books and movies of entertainment. Our daughters must be sufficiently nephilized to follow through with the excitement of fanciful sexual imagination once they experience it becoming actually real. Incubus and Succubus are not the angels, but the demons that prepare the way. I don’t see that day very far off as Sodomy has already encroached into our reality as acceptable thinking, and thereby preparing our thoughts for that eventual end. The walls of resistance are crumbling and the iniquity of our souls is growing quickly. Offspring is still a few steps away and not yet a consideration in their sexual desires. First wives, then Children. Right now we’re just working up to girl-friends.

Fair Daughters

(Suggested re-reading: Genesis 6:1-7)
“And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth…” Genesis 6:1a
Over-Population?
Right at the start of this passage we are told the unique global extinction came around the time mankind began to multiply across the entire planet, so is this passage evidence that the significant increase of population today is wrong, as our earth worshipers convince us today?
No not at all. In fact it was commanded as an intentional goal, both at the beginning (Genesis 1:28) and again after the flood (Genesis 9:1), and so we understand it is only noted here to further identify the timeframe at which these “other” events took place. “Over population” is a dramatic concern to the Godless because without a confidence that there is a creator who manages what he commands, this seems to be a very real and serious issue to resolve. We can’t fault them for their earnestness even though the result always ends in mass genocide at the hands of a few men. Remember the first plank of the Georgia Guidestones, in conflict with God’s command?
“1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.” (*1)
Why is our population status important to the Genesis 6 event?
Remember that all scripture is given to us by the inspiration of God for our benefit of guidance through a number of specific methods (II Timothy 3:16), and that these scriptures in these ways are able to make us wise toward the result of salvation through the resulting faith in Christ Jesus (II Timothy 3:15). Therefore we must conclude that this is included in scripture to inform us of relevant events in a later time for our benefit. Curiously enough mankind is once again beginning to fill the earth to the degree that our volume is a serious concern to Godless men in leadership today. I submit that we must anticipate by this Old Testament warning identifying a population explosion of this magnitude, to be wary that some Type of the earlier events are also prone to occur when this happens. Remember we are speaking of Types and not exact repeats; Moses led God’s people through the desert to the Promised Land and by Type we understand that we today are also led through the desert to the promised land but in a completely “other” way though Typed perfectly. We do not automatically expect to find ourselves actually walking again in the dry sand of the Middle East because we are speaking of Types; of the identical thing perhaps in a completely different way but not necessarily. The population condition is a landmark to identify the when. Therefore we can reasonably conclude that we have now arrived at this general time period of "began to". Agreed?
With that said, we next see in the passage that daughters were born unto this growing population of men.

“…and daughters were born unto them,”… Genesis 6:1b
Really? (said with wry).
Clearly there is something here we are supposed to get or the statement would be ridiculously worthless; Of course men have daughters, it’s happened consistently for quite some time. But notice that the verse ends in a comma not a period;

Daughters and Demons:
…“That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose” Genesis 6:2.
The point being made is that at the time of this explosion of human population, for some unusual reason the sons of God (angels) took an overpowering interest in these daughters of men because they saw they were very appealing/beautiful…. SO appealing in fact, that they breached their “Do Not Cross” barrier and took whichever of them they wanted for their wives.
We know almost nothing of this age of old but what is written in scripture, but by this wording we can be sure that this was something never done before. We are further told plainly that this new thing was done in a period when the human population was beginning to fill the earth and the daughters of men were extremely appealing beyond normal. It doesn’t tell us the cause of this unusual appeal but we need to figure out what about these young women motivated this unprecedented conduct by the sons of God, because that might be something we can control. The fact that God chose to utterly destroy humanity from the face of the earth at this time, suggests this may be in our scope of responsibility and therefore accountability. The only way to know for sure is to discover the cause of this enchanting beautification.
The sons of God referenced specifically in this passage, are some of the fallen angels we now ignorantly refer to generically as demons (Job 38:7+Luke 10:18+Revelation 12:4 (remembering Job 38:7)+Job 2:1). This too generic interpretation, allowing further appropriate specification, was addressed in the previous post and is not in question by serious researchers that are not afraid to simply accept what is plainly and obviously declared by the Word of God… weird as it may seem. The fact that a third of the angels were cast (ballo) not fallen (naphal) from heaven is not questionable, scripture tells us this as a fact; Satan fell (pipto) from heaven (Luke 10:17-18) and cast (ballo) down with him those angels under his authority (Revelation 12:3-4), never described as fallen (naphal).
What does not come clear without further investigation is the nature of this descent from heaven. Jude 6 tells us, in the context of the Christian path becoming crooked (skolios), that the angels likewise scoliosed their own standing and were punished for it:
“And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation (3613 oketerion), he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day” Jude 6.
So why did they leave their first estate and what did they do when they left? Jude continues:
“Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire” Jude 7.
Jude is using the sin of Sodom and its surrounding area as a representation of the sin of the angels going after strange flesh by the means of unlawful sexuality; fornication, i.e. breeding with human women, to warn Christianity not to follow this pattern (physically or spiritually) but rather contend earnestly for the faith as it was originally given and not as it is prostituted today (Jude 3). This cannot be reasonably skewed to mean anything else! II Corinthians 5:1-3 confirms this interpretation of Jude and helps us comprehend that the habitation the angels left is the same house that we aspire to obtain:

I really didn’t want to rabbit trail this in detail but it’s too important to the discussion. Our English words are too often quite generically inclusive and miss the very specific intent that the precise Greek language accommodated. Here are the original Greek meanings of the words used:
House 3614 oikia; from 3624; properly, residence (abstractly), but usually (concretely) an abode (literally or figuratively); by implication, a family (especially domestics):-- home, house (-hold).
Tabernacle 4636 skenos; from 4633; a hut or temporary residence, i.e. (figuratively) the human body (as the abode of the spirit):-- tabernacle.
Building 3619 oikodome; feminine (abstract) of a compound of 3624 and the base of 1430; architecture, i.e. (concretely) a structure; figuratively, confirmation:-- building, edify (-ication, -ing).
House/habitation 3613 oiketerion; neuter of a presumed derivative of 3611 (equivalent to 3612; a residence (literally or figuratively):-- habitation, house.

Between Jude and II Corinthians, we now comprehend that the angels left their eternal glorious bodies as perfectly complete in the presence of God where they belonged, to take up as temporary earthborn (mortal) bodies and live in the lust of the flesh among humanity and so be found shamefully “naked”. Rabbit-trailing only slightly further we now have a greater understanding of the “nakedness” of Adam and Eve who by rebellion against God’s command disrobed themselves through lust of the forbidden fruit, much as did the angels. This forbidden driving lust is played out in every teenager whose driving of hormones scream “sex now!”, but morality declares “Not until the proper time when all is complete in preparation for the purpose of sex”.
So we also see in this combination of passages that as Children of God we long to experience our perfect oiketerion in the presence of God “now” but morality says “Not until the proper time when all is complete in preparation for that house”.
There is far more to preparation than time but unfortunately most Christians, like the lusting teenager, just sits in preoccupation of self-longing, poutingly waiting until he’s “old enough” (raptured) rather that using that “waiting period” to get a job, learn a trade, become wiser and responsible, learning the maturity that it takes to provide for and maintain a happy healthy home. Likewise the teenage girl does not "waste her youth" on learning the domestic skills useful to helping a husband create a home of blessing and happiness but instead goes out dancing and partying, shopping and occupying all her time attending to the beautification of her carnal flesh mind and spirit.
God reserved those offending angels in everlasting chains under darkness and warns us that we too have just such a fate if we continue in the same earthborn way as they:
“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men…” II Corinthians 5:10-11a.
Remember; the angels, already in heaven, left their place for self-focused lust, so do you suppose you will miss the punishment because “you are saved”, if you depart from sound faith for the same self-focused lust of the earthborn flesh and not rather attend the heavenborn spirit that you have been given if you are a Christian?
“For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment…The Lord knoweth how to…reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: but chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness…” II Peter 2:4,9-10 (we will address this passage in detail later).
But before we move on, I am instructed by king David's response in II Samuel 1:10, to encourage those burdened by the knowledge of guilt that it is not yet too late for you! The messenger narrated his activities to king David like this:
"So I stood upon him (king Saul), and slew him, because I was sure that he could not live after that he was fallen (5307 naphal)..." II Samuel 1:10a.
King David responded like this:
“And David said unto him, How wast thou not afraid to stretch forth thine hand to destroy the LORD’s anointed? And David called one of the young men, and said, Go near, and fall upon him. And he smote him that he died” II Samuel 1:14-15.
I might be sure that America is nephil, and I might be describing that you yourself are naphal too, but God would treat me as David did the messenger if I slaughtered you with his scripture before you "died" on your own from your wounds. I am not "finishing you off" with my Blog but rather intending to show you the seriousness of your mortal wound so that you would earnestly seek the Great Physician Jesus Christ as if your life depended on it, because it does. Even more so now that we are once again arrived at the Days of Noah when "everyone" is not just fallen (naphal) but causing other to fall (nephil).
And now we have a new clue to the progression of our events of study as we see God’s proper design, not abandoned, but corrupted into this “strange flesh” lust. From our side of the responsibility it first begins among humanity before ending with demon participation. This concept of corrupting the glorious intent into a fallen (naphal) perspective is supported by the progressive chain-of-events fall into depravity described in Romans 1:17-32.
It would be a long rabbit trail to post here, but if you start with the last verse (32) declaring the known final judgment once this list of iniquity is full, then start backing up verse by verse, you begin to see that each preceding verse describes the iniquity that sponsored the one after. Sodomy is not found at the end of this passage but about in the middle, in otherwords Sodomy sponsors something after it, but is also itself sponsored by something before it. Knowing that the angels left their heavenly habitation to fornicate with the relationally strange flesh of humanity, we can understand that our Sodomy is what directly sponsored that event. Since Sodomy is now where we are again in world consideration of acceptable, we should evaluate what sponsors Sodomy. The previous verse (v.25) tells us it comes by changing the truth of God into a lie, and worshiping and serving what is created more that the One who created it (God). The Globalism, Mother Earth Environmentalism is just such a worshiping, not by replacing God but by changing the truth of God into a lie through Evolution, Eathworship, and the like.
There can be no doubt that humanity is now fully in this section of scripture speeding along toward the next phase. But neither can there be a doubt that we have not yet arrived at a problematic level of women breeding with demons producing children. We seem to be narrowing where we are located on this timeline of events, currently between Sodomy and Demonic children…. though now that you mention it~ (said half tongue in cheek).

Fair Daughters:
So why did the fallen angels find these daughters of men “fair” at this particular point in time; were women not desirably beautiful before then? I contend that they were not. I support this theory by the evidence of today’s average woman exceedingly more beautiful than the average woman less than 100 years ago; we have a plethora of photographic evidence for this claim and much older paintings of similar evidence. Further, today’s exceedingly beautiful women have the ease to maintain and enhance their desirability by: luxury of life and spare time, freedom and therefore less stress, education, financial prosperity, available high quality products, scientific and medical options, instruction in presentation, and development of demeanor, etc., while their predecessors were too busy keeping their families alive to develop these less useful qualities to that end. Yet like the many similar new attributes available to Olympians today, all this combined still does not answer the mystery of desirability that is just now exploding with unexplainable affect, even on our underage girls. “There must be something in the water” is an American phrase often used to make note that it’s mysterious but obvious. The question we must ask ourselves is Why is this condition of extreme feminine desirability occurring again in our day…when our population is also exploding…and Sodomy is becoming ever increasingly accepted as normal? Are we now preparing to repeat the ancient Type in some way? I wonder how much more enchanting our women need to become before they again enchant the angels themselves and motivate their involvement (Jude 6+13)? Am I saying we have arrived at that point? No, I still see plenty of room for further enhancement to that end if that is really where we intend to go, but I can’t ignore that we are going there quickly. I’m simply suggesting we pay intelligent attention to the trend by foreknowing the end result. Apparently our women can yet become even more goddess-like than they are now, but at the rate and stage of global population it doesn’t look like there is much time left to reach that sure end… unless mankind reduces that population by mass murder as planned and declared by “the Georgia Guidestones”, and many other such historical and planned documentable goals (*2).
I put forward the concept that there must be more to this mystery than a simple increase in our daughter’s desire to be beautiful in every way. This in itself is not wrong, as is supposed by backward religious orders today who seem to require their women to present themselves as ugly as humanly possible. It seems apparent that from their perception the scriptures unacceptably approve or support thoughts of sin in verses like (Genesis 29:17-18, Deuteronomy 21:10-11, I Samuel 16:12, I Samuel 25:3, Job 42:15, The Song of Solomon in many pointed places, Isaiah 4:2, Ezekiel 16:12-14, etc.) and God must be utterly despicable for his exploitation of Esther’s beauty (Esther 2:7+) etc.
No, I suggest that as gods (Psalm 82:6) we are actually supposed to increase our understanding of just what that means, both in our spirit and our flesh. The problem is that like those fair daughters of men in time past, our daughters are also capitalizing on the actual goddess status of their flesh (and I don’t mean just their physical body) while utterly ignoring their spirit, letting it develop or wither on its own. Let me attempt to explain it in another way;
A prostitute dresses herself in a way that draws attention to her flesh as a “product” for sale. Yet a refined moral woman of style also dresses herself glorifying her specific gender but without producing the same effect. Both “enhance” the presentation of the flesh but with very different results because of different motives. The different spirits of intent drives both the different end results, but does the prostitute consider her spirit as she enhances her desirability? No, and the end result is an enchantment to a specific kind of man with the intent to move him to the desired end. This woman is fleshly minded.
Today’s greatly desirable women, seemingly the counterpart of the prostitute, are not so grossly carnal though still strongly appealing to raw sexuality “with style and pheromones”, therefore this “refined” woman of intoxicating appeal is also fleshly minded. And she greatly appeals to the common self-proclaimed “good” man because of his own mind of flesh without the taste to the profane. Blame the woman/blame yourself and so we don’t judge her because we are willingly drawn to her enchantment to such a degree, and her “refined” presentation acceptably masks for society the appeal to fornication. Yet in contrast, there is a very beautiful woman, beautifully dressed, who for some reason does not create this sexual enchantment and so does not seem to fall into this category of earthly minded. I propose it is because she has enhanced her moral spirit in a greater degree than she has attended to her flesh. We must understand by scriptural warning that whatever our daughters are doing to enhance this “goddessness” without attending to God’s spirit, though greatly appealing to common and uncommon man is also appealing to…um… “other than mankind”, i.e. spirits. This appeal must be because of the godless spirit that grows by feeding the flesh and ignoring God’s spirit in the same way her physical charms appeals to our lusts. It’s not so much the skin on her but her carnal spirit that appeals, as “fair”, to the spirits, attention to her skin is simply the food that feeds her carnal spirit.
The Apostle Paul was not advocating women abandon the value and glory of their gender when he wrote I Timothy 2:9-11 but simply aligning the flesh specifically under the spirit in identifying which should get the preferred attention for the proper end result. I Peter 3:1-6 affirms this idea when he instructed godly women how to win their godless husbands by their godly nature not their flesh, but how many godless men are motivated to respond to a woman who dresses as if she has no dignity? The example Peter used as reference is Sara; Abraham’s wife, who, if you will remember, was a knockout! She was so beautiful in fact that Abraham was constantly afraid that kings of the land would take her from him (Genesis 12:11-12) and his fears were not unfounded (Genesis 12:14-15). Did he direct her to pull her hair back so tight it made her eyes close, rub dirt on her face and wear a camel’s hair dress like John the Baptist? No. My point is that hiding from the flesh is not spiritual but just hiding. Paul and Peter both were promoting the spirit not abandoning the flesh, though knowing that dressing the flesh is a woman’s natural gravitation they specifically listed a few boundaries to follow for comprehension that he really did mean a difference between dressing the spirit and dressing the flesh. We come in a package; we are also flesh as God pointed out and intended that our flesh would operate sexually (Genesis 1:28). But where these fair ladies went wrong is that they forgot that they were primarily spirit with a little skin on it.
It is my belief that this unbalanced mysterious goddess of the flesh could not happen without an equal and opposite corruption of the spirit and that both these factors were necessary for the angels to take action. They could not take the women without the corrupted spirit and they would not take them without the goddess of the flesh. The question we must ask ourselves is how does this Type play out in our lives today as we once again begin to cover the earth in population and our women are becoming a thing to behold and our desires are going where they don't belong?

Taking Wives:
The wording “took…of all which they chose” and the original definition of “wife” tells us quite plainly that these daughters were not intending that end and not necessarily willing or eager women wanting to be the wives of fallen angels (demons) but doesn’t deny that possibility either, it simply doesn’t matter to the end result. But it does mater to our humanity that finds itself in such a state, so let’s pause for moment to consider the mindframe of today’s girls and how it plays into this strange situation:
For a few decades now, we have random and sparse reports of Alien abduction and almost exclusively with them come descriptions of reproductive research and material harvesting. Ignoring the recognized large majority of hoaxes, there are simply too many well-documented cases to reject the concept outright. But without jumping off into that express-lane from which we would never return, let me switch this concept to a different angle:
Today, at least in America, there is an overwhelming trend of our young daughters hungering for dark romantic fantasies with vampires (*3). What is with that?! This is more than a bit strange, it seems out of character for girls… or is it?
It has long been a known mystery that “normal” young worldly girls tend to gravitate romantically toward “the bad boy” and many end up entangled with bad men. While eventually being battered and treated as dirt these woeful girls simply cannot leave their man but can’t endure the torment either. Vampires? That’s not such a big leap. The mystery is why they would want that in the first place. But why does anybody gravitate to self-destruction?
Now we return for a brief reminder of Beauty and the Beast where the girl disdains the handsome “manly man” attempting to woo her, and instead turns toward the monster that excites her passions even though he is presented to her as an actual ugly and dangerous Beast. Talk about your “bad man” story, it just doesn’t get any more obvious… or does it?
Quickly forgetting the romantically hopeful concept that the Beast is really just a lonely guy with a ruff exterior that “she can fix”, today’s girls are now openly seeking the bloodthirsty human-slaying monster himself just as The Little Mermaid was shown in song while the murderous cook prepared the corpses of her neighbors for her beloved prince to dine on. Let me introduce you to the next installment in the progressive chain of Princess stories:

It’s a “cute and harmless story” that is so far “out there” that it can’t possibly apply to reality. But extending the concept from Little Mermaid where her friend-eating lover was at least in the image of a man, through Beauty and the Beast where her lover isn’t in the image of a man but supposed to still be one inside somewhere if she can draw it out, we now find in Shrek that the beast is not really a man at all nor going to be a man with her help, but is actually a real Beast (with a likable though troubled personality at this stage in the progressions). Yet that is not the most troubling part of the story; what we find is that the girl who has been earnestly and hopefully waiting for her prince, though first confused, then appalled, then troubled, slowly discovers this Beast prince is OK and eventually looses her inner battle of hope, and becomes a monster just like her man!
How does this not trouble us deeply?! Especially as we now watch in real life our young daughters hunger for dark romantic vampire fantasies and hang out with boys filling that Type. When will anything actually trouble us to action? Is it just possible that in our day of population explosion, the confusion of Sodomy, and our exceptionally desirable goddess-minded daughters of the flesh, are actually physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally, ready for breeding with demons? Am I really all that whacked for asking this seriously? Remember these warning scriptures of this very thing are of the oldest records humanity has (Enoch 7th from Adam: Jude 1:14-16), and the accurate groundwork and foundation for a repeat is already well laid!

Grow Up Faster!
“The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years (80), yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away” Psalm 90:10.
Falling far, far short of the pre-flood 700-900 years, just how wise can we get in all our vast learning even with God striving on our behalf throughout our short lifespan? This is setting up to be a very bad circumstance!
Think about it, today we are used to children acting like children far too long, and send them away to college hoping that they will grow up enough by graduation to finally be ready to face the real world (I Corinthians 13:11). By the time they get out they are what, 21? Adam was 130 before he started to have children (Genesis 5:3) and once he was settled down to the maturity of adult family life he lived another 800 years (Genesis 5:4). And just to make sure we can actually believe what we think we read right, God does the math for us as a double-check (Genesis 5:5), yep; 930 years.
Now, you can choose to believe that or not, but it cannot be argued that the scriptures are somehow misinterpreted; God, in scripture, declared Adam lived 930 years, aided by God’s striving, and then died.
It also declared that now, after the flood, mankind will only live between 80 and 120 years with God’s striving aid. But although God said it was possible to live 120 years, most of us don’t make it past 80. If maturity starts at 21, where we actually begin to think about the law of consequences and how it applies to our life-choices, then that means we only have about 59 years to figure it out before we stand in the judgment to give account (Hebrews 9:27). It appears that a long life has more advantage than we now imagine.

Over-Population?
Right at the start of this passage we are told the unique global extinction came around the time mankind began to multiply across the entire planet, so is this passage evidence that the significant increase of population today is wrong, as our earth worshipers convince us today?
No not at all. In fact it was commanded as an intentional goal, both at the beginning (Genesis 1:28) and again after the flood (Genesis 9:1), and so we understand it is only noted here to further identify the timeframe at which these “other” events took place. “Over population” is a dramatic concern to the Godless because without a confidence that there is a creator who manages what he commands, this seems to be a very real and serious issue to resolve. We can’t fault them for their earnestness even though the result always ends in mass genocide at the hands of a few men. Remember the first plank of the Georgia Guidestones, in conflict with God’s command?
“1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.” (*1)
Why is our population status important to the Genesis 6 event?
Remember that all scripture is given to us by the inspiration of God for our benefit of guidance through a number of specific methods (II Timothy 3:16), and that these scriptures in these ways are able to make us wise toward the result of salvation through the resulting faith in Christ Jesus (II Timothy 3:15). Therefore we must conclude that this is included in scripture to inform us of relevant events in a later time for our benefit. Curiously enough mankind is once again beginning to fill the earth to the degree that our volume is a serious concern to Godless men in leadership today. I submit that we must anticipate by this Old Testament warning identifying a population explosion of this magnitude, to be wary that some Type of the earlier events are also prone to occur when this happens. Remember we are speaking of Types and not exact repeats; Moses led God’s people through the desert to the Promised Land and by Type we understand that we today are also led through the desert to the promised land but in a completely “other” way though Typed perfectly. We do not automatically expect to find ourselves actually walking again in the dry sand of the Middle East because we are speaking of Types; of the identical thing perhaps in a completely different way but not necessarily. The population condition is a landmark to identify the when. Therefore we can reasonably conclude that we have now arrived at this general time period of "began to". Agreed?
With that said, we next see in the passage that daughters were born unto this growing population of men.

Really? (said with wry).
Clearly there is something here we are supposed to get or the statement would be ridiculously worthless; Of course men have daughters, it’s happened consistently for quite some time. But notice that the verse ends in a comma not a period;

Daughters and Demons:
…“That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose” Genesis 6:2.
The point being made is that at the time of this explosion of human population, for some unusual reason the sons of God (angels) took an overpowering interest in these daughters of men because they saw they were very appealing/beautiful…. SO appealing in fact, that they breached their “Do Not Cross” barrier and took whichever of them they wanted for their wives.
We know almost nothing of this age of old but what is written in scripture, but by this wording we can be sure that this was something never done before. We are further told plainly that this new thing was done in a period when the human population was beginning to fill the earth and the daughters of men were extremely appealing beyond normal. It doesn’t tell us the cause of this unusual appeal but we need to figure out what about these young women motivated this unprecedented conduct by the sons of God, because that might be something we can control. The fact that God chose to utterly destroy humanity from the face of the earth at this time, suggests this may be in our scope of responsibility and therefore accountability. The only way to know for sure is to discover the cause of this enchanting beautification.
The sons of God referenced specifically in this passage, are some of the fallen angels we now ignorantly refer to generically as demons (Job 38:7+Luke 10:18+Revelation 12:4 (remembering Job 38:7)+Job 2:1). This too generic interpretation, allowing further appropriate specification, was addressed in the previous post and is not in question by serious researchers that are not afraid to simply accept what is plainly and obviously declared by the Word of God… weird as it may seem. The fact that a third of the angels were cast (ballo) not fallen (naphal) from heaven is not questionable, scripture tells us this as a fact; Satan fell (pipto) from heaven (Luke 10:17-18) and cast (ballo) down with him those angels under his authority (Revelation 12:3-4), never described as fallen (naphal).
What does not come clear without further investigation is the nature of this descent from heaven. Jude 6 tells us, in the context of the Christian path becoming crooked (skolios), that the angels likewise scoliosed their own standing and were punished for it:
“And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation (3613 oketerion), he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day” Jude 6.
So why did they leave their first estate and what did they do when they left? Jude continues:
“Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire” Jude 7.
Jude is using the sin of Sodom and its surrounding area as a representation of the sin of the angels going after strange flesh by the means of unlawful sexuality; fornication, i.e. breeding with human women, to warn Christianity not to follow this pattern (physically or spiritually) but rather contend earnestly for the faith as it was originally given and not as it is prostituted today (Jude 3). This cannot be reasonably skewed to mean anything else! II Corinthians 5:1-3 confirms this interpretation of Jude and helps us comprehend that the habitation the angels left is the same house that we aspire to obtain:
“For we know that if our earthly house (3614 oikia) of this tabernacle (4636 skenos) were dissolved, we have a building (3619 oikodome) of God, an house (3614) not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house (3613 oiketerion) which is from heaven: If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. For we that are in this tabernacle (4636) do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. Now he that hath wrought (2716 worked fully to accomplish) us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home (1736 endemeo) in the body (4983 soma), we are absent (1553 ekdemeo) from the Lord: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent (1553) from the body (4983), and to be present with the Lord” II Corinthians 5:1-8.
I really didn’t want to rabbit trail this in detail but it’s too important to the discussion. Our English words are too often quite generically inclusive and miss the very specific intent that the precise Greek language accommodated. Here are the original Greek meanings of the words used:
House 3614 oikia; from 3624; properly, residence (abstractly), but usually (concretely) an abode (literally or figuratively); by implication, a family (especially domestics):-- home, house (-hold).
Tabernacle 4636 skenos; from 4633; a hut or temporary residence, i.e. (figuratively) the human body (as the abode of the spirit):-- tabernacle.
Building 3619 oikodome; feminine (abstract) of a compound of 3624 and the base of 1430; architecture, i.e. (concretely) a structure; figuratively, confirmation:-- building, edify (-ication, -ing).
House/habitation 3613 oiketerion; neuter of a presumed derivative of 3611 (equivalent to 3612; a residence (literally or figuratively):-- habitation, house.
Home 1736 endemeo; from a compound of 1722 and 1218; to be in one’s own country, i.e. home (figuratively):-- be at home (present).
Body 4983 soma; from 4982; the body (as a sound whole), used in a very wide application, literally or figuratively:-- bodily, body, slave.
Absent 1553 ekdemeo; from a compound of 1537 and 1218; to emigrate, i.e. (figuratively) vacate or quit:-- be absent.
Between Jude and II Corinthians, we now comprehend that the angels left their eternal glorious bodies as perfectly complete in the presence of God where they belonged, to take up as temporary earthborn (mortal) bodies and live in the lust of the flesh among humanity and so be found shamefully “naked”. Rabbit-trailing only slightly further we now have a greater understanding of the “nakedness” of Adam and Eve who by rebellion against God’s command disrobed themselves through lust of the forbidden fruit, much as did the angels. This forbidden driving lust is played out in every teenager whose driving of hormones scream “sex now!”, but morality declares “Not until the proper time when all is complete in preparation for the purpose of sex”.
So we also see in this combination of passages that as Children of God we long to experience our perfect oiketerion in the presence of God “now” but morality says “Not until the proper time when all is complete in preparation for that house”.
There is far more to preparation than time but unfortunately most Christians, like the lusting teenager, just sits in preoccupation of self-longing, poutingly waiting until he’s “old enough” (raptured) rather that using that “waiting period” to get a job, learn a trade, become wiser and responsible, learning the maturity that it takes to provide for and maintain a happy healthy home. Likewise the teenage girl does not "waste her youth" on learning the domestic skills useful to helping a husband create a home of blessing and happiness but instead goes out dancing and partying, shopping and occupying all her time attending to the beautification of her carnal flesh mind and spirit.
God reserved those offending angels in everlasting chains under darkness and warns us that we too have just such a fate if we continue in the same earthborn way as they:
“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men…” II Corinthians 5:10-11a.
Remember; the angels, already in heaven, left their place for self-focused lust, so do you suppose you will miss the punishment because “you are saved”, if you depart from sound faith for the same self-focused lust of the earthborn flesh and not rather attend the heavenborn spirit that you have been given if you are a Christian?
“For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment…The Lord knoweth how to…reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: but chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness…” II Peter 2:4,9-10 (we will address this passage in detail later).
But before we move on, I am instructed by king David's response in II Samuel 1:10, to encourage those burdened by the knowledge of guilt that it is not yet too late for you! The messenger narrated his activities to king David like this:
"So I stood upon him (king Saul), and slew him, because I was sure that he could not live after that he was fallen (5307 naphal)..." II Samuel 1:10a.
King David responded like this:
“And David said unto him, How wast thou not afraid to stretch forth thine hand to destroy the LORD’s anointed? And David called one of the young men, and said, Go near, and fall upon him. And he smote him that he died” II Samuel 1:14-15.
I might be sure that America is nephil, and I might be describing that you yourself are naphal too, but God would treat me as David did the messenger if I slaughtered you with his scripture before you "died" on your own from your wounds. I am not "finishing you off" with my Blog but rather intending to show you the seriousness of your mortal wound so that you would earnestly seek the Great Physician Jesus Christ as if your life depended on it, because it does. Even more so now that we are once again arrived at the Days of Noah when "everyone" is not just fallen (naphal) but causing other to fall (nephil).
And now we have a new clue to the progression of our events of study as we see God’s proper design, not abandoned, but corrupted into this “strange flesh” lust. From our side of the responsibility it first begins among humanity before ending with demon participation. This concept of corrupting the glorious intent into a fallen (naphal) perspective is supported by the progressive chain-of-events fall into depravity described in Romans 1:17-32.
It would be a long rabbit trail to post here, but if you start with the last verse (32) declaring the known final judgment once this list of iniquity is full, then start backing up verse by verse, you begin to see that each preceding verse describes the iniquity that sponsored the one after. Sodomy is not found at the end of this passage but about in the middle, in otherwords Sodomy sponsors something after it, but is also itself sponsored by something before it. Knowing that the angels left their heavenly habitation to fornicate with the relationally strange flesh of humanity, we can understand that our Sodomy is what directly sponsored that event. Since Sodomy is now where we are again in world consideration of acceptable, we should evaluate what sponsors Sodomy. The previous verse (v.25) tells us it comes by changing the truth of God into a lie, and worshiping and serving what is created more that the One who created it (God). The Globalism, Mother Earth Environmentalism is just such a worshiping, not by replacing God but by changing the truth of God into a lie through Evolution, Eathworship, and the like.
There can be no doubt that humanity is now fully in this section of scripture speeding along toward the next phase. But neither can there be a doubt that we have not yet arrived at a problematic level of women breeding with demons producing children. We seem to be narrowing where we are located on this timeline of events, currently between Sodomy and Demonic children…. though now that you mention it~ (said half tongue in cheek).

Fair Daughters:
So why did the fallen angels find these daughters of men “fair” at this particular point in time; were women not desirably beautiful before then? I contend that they were not. I support this theory by the evidence of today’s average woman exceedingly more beautiful than the average woman less than 100 years ago; we have a plethora of photographic evidence for this claim and much older paintings of similar evidence. Further, today’s exceedingly beautiful women have the ease to maintain and enhance their desirability by: luxury of life and spare time, freedom and therefore less stress, education, financial prosperity, available high quality products, scientific and medical options, instruction in presentation, and development of demeanor, etc., while their predecessors were too busy keeping their families alive to develop these less useful qualities to that end. Yet like the many similar new attributes available to Olympians today, all this combined still does not answer the mystery of desirability that is just now exploding with unexplainable affect, even on our underage girls. “There must be something in the water” is an American phrase often used to make note that it’s mysterious but obvious. The question we must ask ourselves is Why is this condition of extreme feminine desirability occurring again in our day…when our population is also exploding…and Sodomy is becoming ever increasingly accepted as normal? Are we now preparing to repeat the ancient Type in some way? I wonder how much more enchanting our women need to become before they again enchant the angels themselves and motivate their involvement (Jude 6+13)? Am I saying we have arrived at that point? No, I still see plenty of room for further enhancement to that end if that is really where we intend to go, but I can’t ignore that we are going there quickly. I’m simply suggesting we pay intelligent attention to the trend by foreknowing the end result. Apparently our women can yet become even more goddess-like than they are now, but at the rate and stage of global population it doesn’t look like there is much time left to reach that sure end… unless mankind reduces that population by mass murder as planned and declared by “the Georgia Guidestones”, and many other such historical and planned documentable goals (*2).
I put forward the concept that there must be more to this mystery than a simple increase in our daughter’s desire to be beautiful in every way. This in itself is not wrong, as is supposed by backward religious orders today who seem to require their women to present themselves as ugly as humanly possible. It seems apparent that from their perception the scriptures unacceptably approve or support thoughts of sin in verses like (Genesis 29:17-18, Deuteronomy 21:10-11, I Samuel 16:12, I Samuel 25:3, Job 42:15, The Song of Solomon in many pointed places, Isaiah 4:2, Ezekiel 16:12-14, etc.) and God must be utterly despicable for his exploitation of Esther’s beauty (Esther 2:7+) etc.
No, I suggest that as gods (Psalm 82:6) we are actually supposed to increase our understanding of just what that means, both in our spirit and our flesh. The problem is that like those fair daughters of men in time past, our daughters are also capitalizing on the actual goddess status of their flesh (and I don’t mean just their physical body) while utterly ignoring their spirit, letting it develop or wither on its own. Let me attempt to explain it in another way;
A prostitute dresses herself in a way that draws attention to her flesh as a “product” for sale. Yet a refined moral woman of style also dresses herself glorifying her specific gender but without producing the same effect. Both “enhance” the presentation of the flesh but with very different results because of different motives. The different spirits of intent drives both the different end results, but does the prostitute consider her spirit as she enhances her desirability? No, and the end result is an enchantment to a specific kind of man with the intent to move him to the desired end. This woman is fleshly minded.
Today’s greatly desirable women, seemingly the counterpart of the prostitute, are not so grossly carnal though still strongly appealing to raw sexuality “with style and pheromones”, therefore this “refined” woman of intoxicating appeal is also fleshly minded. And she greatly appeals to the common self-proclaimed “good” man because of his own mind of flesh without the taste to the profane. Blame the woman/blame yourself and so we don’t judge her because we are willingly drawn to her enchantment to such a degree, and her “refined” presentation acceptably masks for society the appeal to fornication. Yet in contrast, there is a very beautiful woman, beautifully dressed, who for some reason does not create this sexual enchantment and so does not seem to fall into this category of earthly minded. I propose it is because she has enhanced her moral spirit in a greater degree than she has attended to her flesh. We must understand by scriptural warning that whatever our daughters are doing to enhance this “goddessness” without attending to God’s spirit, though greatly appealing to common and uncommon man is also appealing to…um… “other than mankind”, i.e. spirits. This appeal must be because of the godless spirit that grows by feeding the flesh and ignoring God’s spirit in the same way her physical charms appeals to our lusts. It’s not so much the skin on her but her carnal spirit that appeals, as “fair”, to the spirits, attention to her skin is simply the food that feeds her carnal spirit.
The Apostle Paul was not advocating women abandon the value and glory of their gender when he wrote I Timothy 2:9-11 but simply aligning the flesh specifically under the spirit in identifying which should get the preferred attention for the proper end result. I Peter 3:1-6 affirms this idea when he instructed godly women how to win their godless husbands by their godly nature not their flesh, but how many godless men are motivated to respond to a woman who dresses as if she has no dignity? The example Peter used as reference is Sara; Abraham’s wife, who, if you will remember, was a knockout! She was so beautiful in fact that Abraham was constantly afraid that kings of the land would take her from him (Genesis 12:11-12) and his fears were not unfounded (Genesis 12:14-15). Did he direct her to pull her hair back so tight it made her eyes close, rub dirt on her face and wear a camel’s hair dress like John the Baptist? No. My point is that hiding from the flesh is not spiritual but just hiding. Paul and Peter both were promoting the spirit not abandoning the flesh, though knowing that dressing the flesh is a woman’s natural gravitation they specifically listed a few boundaries to follow for comprehension that he really did mean a difference between dressing the spirit and dressing the flesh. We come in a package; we are also flesh as God pointed out and intended that our flesh would operate sexually (Genesis 1:28). But where these fair ladies went wrong is that they forgot that they were primarily spirit with a little skin on it.
It is my belief that this unbalanced mysterious goddess of the flesh could not happen without an equal and opposite corruption of the spirit and that both these factors were necessary for the angels to take action. They could not take the women without the corrupted spirit and they would not take them without the goddess of the flesh. The question we must ask ourselves is how does this Type play out in our lives today as we once again begin to cover the earth in population and our women are becoming a thing to behold and our desires are going where they don't belong?

Taking Wives:
The wording “took…of all which they chose” and the original definition of “wife” tells us quite plainly that these daughters were not intending that end and not necessarily willing or eager women wanting to be the wives of fallen angels (demons) but doesn’t deny that possibility either, it simply doesn’t matter to the end result. But it does mater to our humanity that finds itself in such a state, so let’s pause for moment to consider the mindframe of today’s girls and how it plays into this strange situation:
For a few decades now, we have random and sparse reports of Alien abduction and almost exclusively with them come descriptions of reproductive research and material harvesting. Ignoring the recognized large majority of hoaxes, there are simply too many well-documented cases to reject the concept outright. But without jumping off into that express-lane from which we would never return, let me switch this concept to a different angle:
Today, at least in America, there is an overwhelming trend of our young daughters hungering for dark romantic fantasies with vampires (*3). What is with that?! This is more than a bit strange, it seems out of character for girls… or is it?
It has long been a known mystery that “normal” young worldly girls tend to gravitate romantically toward “the bad boy” and many end up entangled with bad men. While eventually being battered and treated as dirt these woeful girls simply cannot leave their man but can’t endure the torment either. Vampires? That’s not such a big leap. The mystery is why they would want that in the first place. But why does anybody gravitate to self-destruction?
Now we return for a brief reminder of Beauty and the Beast where the girl disdains the handsome “manly man” attempting to woo her, and instead turns toward the monster that excites her passions even though he is presented to her as an actual ugly and dangerous Beast. Talk about your “bad man” story, it just doesn’t get any more obvious… or does it?
Quickly forgetting the romantically hopeful concept that the Beast is really just a lonely guy with a ruff exterior that “she can fix”, today’s girls are now openly seeking the bloodthirsty human-slaying monster himself just as The Little Mermaid was shown in song while the murderous cook prepared the corpses of her neighbors for her beloved prince to dine on. Let me introduce you to the next installment in the progressive chain of Princess stories:

Shrek:
It’s a “cute and harmless story” that is so far “out there” that it can’t possibly apply to reality. But extending the concept from Little Mermaid where her friend-eating lover was at least in the image of a man, through Beauty and the Beast where her lover isn’t in the image of a man but supposed to still be one inside somewhere if she can draw it out, we now find in Shrek that the beast is not really a man at all nor going to be a man with her help, but is actually a real Beast (with a likable though troubled personality at this stage in the progressions). Yet that is not the most troubling part of the story; what we find is that the girl who has been earnestly and hopefully waiting for her prince, though first confused, then appalled, then troubled, slowly discovers this Beast prince is OK and eventually looses her inner battle of hope, and becomes a monster just like her man!
How does this not trouble us deeply?! Especially as we now watch in real life our young daughters hunger for dark romantic vampire fantasies and hang out with boys filling that Type. When will anything actually trouble us to action? Is it just possible that in our day of population explosion, the confusion of Sodomy, and our exceptionally desirable goddess-minded daughters of the flesh, are actually physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally, ready for breeding with demons? Am I really all that whacked for asking this seriously? Remember these warning scriptures of this very thing are of the oldest records humanity has (Enoch 7th from Adam: Jude 1:14-16), and the accurate groundwork and foundation for a repeat is already well laid!

Grow Up Faster!
“The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years (80), yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away” Psalm 90:10.
Falling far, far short of the pre-flood 700-900 years, just how wise can we get in all our vast learning even with God striving on our behalf throughout our short lifespan? This is setting up to be a very bad circumstance!
Think about it, today we are used to children acting like children far too long, and send them away to college hoping that they will grow up enough by graduation to finally be ready to face the real world (I Corinthians 13:11). By the time they get out they are what, 21? Adam was 130 before he started to have children (Genesis 5:3) and once he was settled down to the maturity of adult family life he lived another 800 years (Genesis 5:4). And just to make sure we can actually believe what we think we read right, God does the math for us as a double-check (Genesis 5:5), yep; 930 years.
Now, you can choose to believe that or not, but it cannot be argued that the scriptures are somehow misinterpreted; God, in scripture, declared Adam lived 930 years, aided by God’s striving, and then died.
It also declared that now, after the flood, mankind will only live between 80 and 120 years with God’s striving aid. But although God said it was possible to live 120 years, most of us don’t make it past 80. If maturity starts at 21, where we actually begin to think about the law of consequences and how it applies to our life-choices, then that means we only have about 59 years to figure it out before we stand in the judgment to give account (Hebrews 9:27). It appears that a long life has more advantage than we now imagine.

And as we see the Marxist Muslim sitting in the seat of the U.S. President, filling his circle with appointed (not elected) Muslims, we have to wonder if line (4) of the above HR645 in the hands of a Muslim loyalist would not be reminiscent of the legal Holocaust camps of Germany. The Nephil Consideration
- Days of Noah, Part 2 -
Genesis 6:3
Post 260
Remember that we are looking for comparisons to find “about when” the end will again come as in the days of Noah (Matthew 24:37).
For the sake of clarity in a complex topic I have elected to write out our target passage of discussion before beginning the several post exposition:
1. “And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
2. that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
3. And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
4. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
5. And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
7. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.”
Genesis 6:1-7.
Though Noah and his family (and thus humanity) survived this global destruction we have no problem accepting that this was the end of the world and we should be looking for a repeat in Type.
In the next few posts we will deeply contemplate all these verses in the effort to identify our own proximity to such a fate as this global genocide declared by God himself in verse 7, which Jesus described as the end of the world in Matthew 24. I will be jumping all around in this passage of scripture and it may at first be confusing, but should iron itself out as we continue. I begin with the significant change for humanity found in verse 3 that was promised even before the fatal events of verse 7 took place.

Genesis 6:3:
"And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive (1777) with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years" Genesis 6:3.
This verse is one of those secret surprises because it’s easy to think “you get it” with a quick read but has a completely different meaning when seriously asking why it’s worded like it is.
”Yet”:
[Error correction 4/2/13] From Adam to the Flood we note that no ones life was declared limited to 120 years (Noah’s own dad was the shortest recorded at 777 years: Genesis 5:31) Yet doing more research I find that Genesis 23:1 declares long after the flood Sarah lived 127 years, and Genesis 25:7 tells us Abraham lived 175, etc., so the 120-year-limitation-on-human-lifespan theory doesn’t hold water. Therefore, it seems more likely that this 120 years is a clock starting at the point God said he would destroy man, which actually informed them when the flood would come. In otherwords; “because mankind is flesh he will not always be around for my Spirit to strive with because of his sin, nevertheless (yet) he still has 120 left.”
”Strive”:
We find that the Old English word “strive” used in the translation did not so easily mean what we think it means today: The Original Hebrew 1777 diyn did not mean simply “a fight with men” as we superficially interpret strive today, the interpretation is a bit more complex:
Strong’s first edition 1894; 45th printing 1989:
strive 1777 diyn deen; or (Gen. 6:3) duwn, doon; a primitive root [compare 113]; to rule; by implication to judge (as umpire); also to strive (as at law):-- contend, execute (judgment), judge, minister judgment, plead (the cause), at strife, strive.
113 adown…; from an unused root (meaning to rule); sovereign, i.e. controller (human or divine):-- lord, master, owner….
This definition speaks of “rules of order”; “actively making sure things are done right”. Being engrossed in the 2012 Olympics last week, we should have no difficulty understanding the role of a referee, or more accurately “umpire”, as he strives with the participants.
Modern Electronic Strong’s:
strive 1777 diyn or (Gen. 6:3) duwn {doon}; a primitive roy (spelling error? root?) a straight course, i.e. sail direct:-- (come) with a straight course.
This definition keeps the same spirit of the original but provides another way to comprehend it; It speaks of maintaining a specific long range goal, i.e. correcting deviation by Creator established unchanging means of extra-terrestrial navigation, i.e. the stars. Man cannot mess up the stars by corruption of his way; the rules are outside of his manipulation in any way, yet he can confuse the rules of navigation by applying a whole other meaning such as Astrology which provides a “new” means of navigation in a completely different (wrong) way.
With the revised definition we see an even more clear perspective of the earlier, that this duwn is not; “to fight with in overpowering strength”, but rather “to guide with specified rules of order to succeed in reaching the proper goal of the rule Maker”, not as a team-leader or even a coach but as a third party umpire regulating (judging) the activity by applying the rules; i.e. strive with (alongside) to support adherence to the lawful goal AND/OR strive with (against) as a judge for violations. This is a concept of direct accountability for the express purpose of maintaining the rules of conduct. How it applies depends completely on our behavior at any given moment! The umpire doesn’t necessarily have any personal animosity to the offender he penalizes, or personal attachment to the conformer he approves, it’s simply the rules of the game as set forth, i.e. “If you foul, your score while fouling is not counted and there is also a penalty, and if you don’t foul, your scoring efforts are counted”, it’s just a part of the game (II Timothy 2:5), past performance has nothing to do with present performance; a foul is a foul when it is made (Ezekiel 3:17-21).
”With”:
By evaluating the interpretation we see the word “with”, though having the same meaning either way, can be interpreted as both striving against or striving alongside;
“I fight with you against our enemy” or,
“I fight with you because we are enemies”.
Curiously the umpire applies both variations at different times, directly to either party, depending on our immediate activity as it applies to the rules. When I conduct myself within the rules then the striving is with me as “in favor”, but when I conduct myself contrary to the rules then the striving is with me as “in opposition”, Same me, same umpire, same rules, different response according to my conduct. This is because an umpire is not partial to the participants on either side of the contest but to the rules alone (Acts 10:34-35).
This foundational concept is the very important power of America’s original Republic; “A government of laws, and not of men” (*1), rather than today’s American corrupted Democracy believing and spreading to the world this new warm and fuzzy destruction; A government of men, and not of laws.
I don’t wish to track off of the main topic of this post but this concept is critical to the whole thing. America now faces utter destruction by her progressive confusion in the same way the Church faces utter destruction by her progressive confusion (Revelation 1:20+chapters 2&3). Originally set up in Type as a husband and wife marriage between law and men with the law being irreproachably supreme though dispersed at the hand of the bride, today by abuse of our feminine role as the authorized distributor, we have elected to cast off the law as oppressive and now operate, not just emotionally free from the law, but wholly outside of the law. This is the spirit of the independent woman who is so appealing to sensual fallen (naphal) man (Genesis 4:6); the boundless woman free to do any dirty thing she wants without rebuke or punishment; “I have no master but myself”. Very different from the faithful wife who also feels she has no chains of oppression, operating freely without law but not outside of the law. She simply does not want to do those lawless things.
This lawless independence is both seen as “Grace” in the new Christianity outside the “oppressive” commands of Christ, and as World Democracy outside the law of Republican Government, which both are now erupting across the globe in wonderful liberation from oppression in Dirty Grace if you will. Don’t dwell on the legitimacy of such liberation at this point, we will discuss that later, the topic right now is the emotionally liberating abandonment of the law in general, for the sake of “freedom” from being governed at all. The result is human nephilism even before the demons get “intimately” involved (v.4). (Don’t worry, we will get to that in detail later).
Diminishing Cycles:
With the ascension of Jesus Christ and the subsequent receipt of the Comforter to strive with man once again (John 14:26) though in a different way, we see it is a kind of repeat of the time from Adam until Noah’s day. In the role and authority as umpire, the LORD strove with man through many hundreds of years of lifespan to ensure the rules of life were recognized, understood, and followed (Genesis 4:6-7= I Corinthians 3:12-13) but now we have significantly fewer years in which to win our Gold Medal race. Something in Noah’s day made that dramatic change necessary. The sons of God (angels) did not just foul against the game rules but parallel with humanity they abandoned the game rules and mutually carried that (v.2) to the degree of actually inter-breeding (v.4) and so in Noah’s day God declared a change in the way he would interact with mankind; no longer as umpire in either role discussed:
“…My spirit shall not always strive with man because besides being eternal spirit he is also still finite flesh: and although exacerbating this complexity of his finite humanity, he only has 120 left to figure it out (v.5)” Genesis 6:3 my paraphrase.
The Greek Septuagint words it; “…my spirit shall certainly not remain among these men forever because they are flesh, but their days shall be an hundred and twenty years” Genesis 6:3 LXX
God was declaring a very significant concept that man’s period of God’s striving with him for the purpose of reaching the end goal was already limited because he was flesh, but now is limited even more perhaps because his flesh was somehow even more flesh than it was supposed to be. In otherwords; We hardly have enough time anymore to get it figured out in one lifespan! (I will explain this “more flesh” idea later).
With the more intimate understanding of the words “strive” (in both the old and the modern definitions) and the double-option use of the word “with”, the original intent of the verse seems to tell us that God's spirit will not continue to run a direct course with man because of a new fundamental corruption that happened in the days of Noah and will again in Type happen at the last end of the world (Daniel 8:19) discussed in Matthew 24. And now we begin to see a chartable reoccurring trend of ages with a progressively diminishing relationship with God as we remember that Adam and Eve were the first to experience a similar age ending change in how God strives with mankind (Genesis 3:22-24, and don’t miss the underlying reason in verse 22 and 11:5-8), and then we see the pattern again with Cain (Genesis 4:11-14) and yet again with Lamech (Genesis 4:23), each abusing by excuse God’s active forgiving aid to the previous generation for their diminished condition (Genesis 3:11-14=4:9,24), (discussed again in Post 291 Understand Yourself.
"Yes but, specifically why?"
Slightly jumping ahead of the study I submit it’s because man's flesh (his non-spiritual component as implied by; “also is flesh”) became corrupted by combining it with non-flesh components (i.e. “angelics” and other), which violated the game rules of the flesh so that God's Spirit needed to take a less direct course with him to arrive at the intended destination, if at all. Yes we are a designed combination of flesh and spirit in this complex game of life (I Corinthians 15:44), but the flesh component is required to be and remain flesh (I Corinthians 15:50) until it is translated (I Corinthians 15:51-54), and so to alter that earthly flesh with the introduction of unauthorized earthly spirit (like changing physical star navigation to spiritual astrology guidance) is to require a review of the very game rules themselves. This is the representational question in Type of 2012 Track and Field Olympian Oscar Pistorius (http://finchin.com/blade-runner-runner-olympics/) (*2).
After review, the game administrators (IAAF) rightly deemed his mechanical limbs as giving no advantage because it simply aided his return to human capability, but now begins a whole new necessary Division of complex regulation as this kind of thing progresses with technology blending the flesh with the mechanical to un-human abilities. The line between acceptable and unacceptable is not as simple as it at first seemed before we crossed that barrier (*3). I suggest this is why God stated it as he did; ”…my spirit shall not always strive with man…”, leaving the exact “when” symbolically up for review as things progressed toward the unacceptable “mechanical advantage” as it were.
Going Too Far:
Lawlessness in the flesh is easily regulated within the game of life by “punishment for a foul” (Romans 2:5-12). But when the progressively lawless (mischievously creative) players begin blending the flesh with the supernatural for “mechanical advantage” in the flesh, the less an umpire can do within the game to regulate the game properly until the players cast out (reject) the umpire and his rules entirely, thinking themselves finally “free” to play as they like without the Ogre breathing down their necks. “It’s our game, we’ll play it how we like!”
Think about it; other than blow the whistle and aggressively point out the offending party which then submits to the game rules as governed, what can an umpire do if the players on both teams simply choose to ignore his rulings and instead “join forces” as if to battle the umpire himself against the very rules of the game (Psalm 2:1-3, Revelation 16:14)? Now the umpire must use drastic means not directly related to the internal regulations of the game; maybe he turns off the gym lights (Matthew 24:29) or maybe he throws chairs onto the gym floor (Revelation 16:21), maybe he grabs them by the throat and gives them a good shaking as he shouts at them his disapproval (Revelation 16:18). Because he is the authority that actually invented the game, organized the game, as well as built and owns the gym in which the game is play (Genesis 1:1 [not to mention he made the players too!]), he has a near limitless number of things he can do to get their attention (Psalm 105:27-38, Psalm 2:4-5). Finishing the game becomes secondary to stopping the lawless chaos in his gym (II Thessalonians 2:3-4=8).
It seems by our verse that God is showing concern that mankind will not make it to the finish at all (Luke 18:7-8). But if they no longer want to play by the rules what’s the point of continuing the game?
And now we have an extremely shortened lifespan in which to figure that out by trial and error!
As the participants of the game of life, we cry “UNFAIR!” against the umpire, but don’t we also eject athletes from our own strangely allegoric games for willful cheating? And do we listen in empathy as the convicted steroid enhanced cheater complains he was treated unfairly, or do we rather spurn him in disdain as a pathetic looser and hold firm the judgment for the sake of game integrity? Why do we feel righteous in our judgments over our games but complain against God for doing the same thing for the same Type reasons over his own game? (Numbers 16:1-3,28-33 resulting in 16:41-42). The answer is that in the same self-centered perspective of the cheater, we have forgotten that we are no one special for which the rules should be uniquely altered (Deuteronomy 1:7, 16:19, II Chronicles 9:7, Proverbs 24:23, 28:21, Romans 2:10-11, Colossians 3:25, James 2:1,9, I Peter 1:17). There are many scriptures on this topic because God knew that through the misapplication of God-given democratic compassion, we would corrupt our understanding of this Republican Law principle while the consequences are fatal to the body as a cancer. Yes, we are the authorized administrators of the Law, but the Law is God’s. To usurp his authority is to become giants/nephil; i.e. those who by a tyrannical nature make others fall.

In Context:
Our particular single study verse seemed to be oddly placed in the middle of a separate thought and by the wording and insertion it was difficult to make this verse apply where it is located, until we saw the cause and reason for the limited lifespan. Now the verse fits in place more easily as we read the context around it so that we can identify in what circumstances our verse applies, (just earnestly read through the passage first and pick up the inserted details after):
1. “And it came to pass, when men (120) began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
2. that the sons of God saw the daughters of men (120) that they were fair (2896); and they took (3947) them wives (802) of all which they chose…
3. (Our study verse goes here)
4. …There were giants (5303) in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men (120), and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men (1368) which were of old (5769), men (582) of renown (8034)” Genesis 6:1-4.
Our study verse comes in the middle of this so lets simplify the details:
1. Men began to multiply all over the earth (not just regionally).
2. The angels saw that these men’s daughters were fair/beautiful (all around desirable) and took whichever they desired to be their wives.
3. 3. God in essence made an evaluation of these new circumstances and said his spirit would not always umpire (judge) mankind’s activities as rightful ruler because man’s flesh would somehow “alter”, and so after another 120 years God would bring it to an end. In otherwords man would take a destructive independent course without God because his spirit became uniquely earthly minded as if he could alter the conditions to stay here forever (I am still getting to that idea).
4. God made this evaluation at the time there were nephil (nef-eel’) in the earth (giants=nephil: fellers; ones who make fall).
5. And there were nephil in the earth also after that, when these angels and their wives began to have children.
6. The offspring of this angelic/human interbreeding became Mighty Men which were those legendary men of old; i.e. Men of Renown, NOT specifically called nephil/giants as fellers, but gibbowr/giants as supermen.
It is easy in the confusion of the wording to miss that verse 4 shows these nephil (i.e. giants) were not at first of the angel/human breeding, nor necessarily even after that:
“There were giants (nephil) in the earth in those days; and also after that, when (the angel/human breeding produced powerfully famous offspring, i.e.) the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men (gibbowr) which were of old, men of renown” Genesis 6:4.
Verse 2 does not mention breeding or children yet that is obviously suggested and maybe confirmed by verse 3 implying that man by breeding with angels is now also something other than flesh but is in fact still flesh; “…for that he also is flesh…” if this is a correct interpretation.
This implied crossbreeding is easily concluded as the cause of the statement; “there were giants in those days”, but the seeming redundancy of the statement again after verse 3 makes no sense until you identify the difference between wives of verse 2 and mothers of verse 4 made specific by the inclusion of “and also after that” in verse 4 referring to verse 2 before the hybrid children were born.
It seems clear that The nephil were of men before the production of demon/human hybrids! yet this is never considered in the excitement of the really crazy hybrid concept that scripture unavoidably declares as matter-of-fact.
I will show that because of this pre-condition of human nephilism the subsequent breeding with angels were able to create a third type of man that by the wording seems to also be separate from the human nephil at least in some recognizable way; “there were giants (nephil) in the earth at that time, and also after that when this other thing began to happen” Genesis 6:3 my paraphrase (go back and read it if you want). So let’s break this down into groups:
1. We have normal fallen mankind; children of Adam progressively growing more wicked…. whose daughters for reasons not yet defined have become over time very desirable in every way; i.e. beautiful.
2. A. We also have these giants i.e. nephil (fellers) that are causatively undefined “more fallen” than normal mankind but we can conjecture were nephil by the same cause the women were beautiful (discussed later).
2. B. Angels (not declared nephil but by later study clearly understood to be so) took some of these unusually desirable women as wives. God then complained the game rules had been broken with significant consequences.
3. Then the breeding of these greatly desirable women with fallen angels result in offspring, which became the legendary men of old; i.e. men of renown (not specifically called nephil). We only infer (with strong indication) that the nephil gene in these unusually desirable women was a part of the works to help create the renown of these angelic superhuman offspring that may or may not have been unusually large as we understand “giant” today.
The short of it is that at the time of Noah’s flood there were:
1. regular man,
2. nephil man, and
3. demonic/human hybrid man.
Because this extremely unnatural concept of demonic breeding with human women to actually create hybrid offspring is so “aluminum-foil hat” insanely crazy to seriously consider plausible, I want to lay out as much scriptural research as practical to help you evaluate what God is actually saying here:

Men 120 adam; from 119; ruddy i.e. a human being (an individual or the species, mankind, etc.):-- x another, + hypocrite, + common sort, x low, man (mean[average], of low degree), person.
- Note this is a different word than used at the end of the verse and here specifically means normal human beings as specifically distinguishable from non-human. The descendants of Adam.
Sons of God; 1121, of, 430 ben ha ‘Elohiym;
- This combination of words results in a specific scriptural phrase defining the direct creations of God, defined more at length in the previous post but for accurate simplicity; is here speaking of angels generically. Note that it does not state or imply their condition of fallen or unfallen, simply that they are angels. This declaration of specific creation is intentionally to stand in contrast to normal humanity.
Fair 2896 towb; from 2895; good (as an adjective) in the widest sense; used likewise as a noun…(good, a good or good thing, a good man or woman; the good, goods or good things, good men or women), also as an adverb (well):-- beautiful, best, better, bountiful, cheerful, at ease, x fair (word), (be in) favor, fine, glad, good…graciously, joyful, kindly, kindness, liketh (best), loving, merry, x most, pleasant, + pleaseth, pleasure, precious, prosperity, ready, sweet, wealth, welfare, (be) well ([-favored]).
- Please note there is not a single indication of anything negative in this definition of fair; these woman are smokin’ hot in every way: physically, personality, capability, intelligence and demeanor. You simply don’t get any closer to goddess while still in the flesh!
Took 3947 laqach; a primitive root; to take (in the widest variety of application):-- accept, bring, buy, carry, away, drawn, fetch, get, infold, x many, mingle, place, receive(-ing), reserve, seize, send for, take (away, -ing, up), use, win.
- Note that these selected wives by the angels might have been willing or unwilling by this word but we find later that unwilling, at least at first, is required for the affect.
Wives 802 ishshah; feminine of 376 or 582; …a woman (used in the same wide sense as 582):-- [adultery]ess, each, every, female, x many, + none, one, + together, wife, woman. Often unexpressed in English.
376 iysh; …a man as an individual or a male person…
582 enowsh; from 605; properly a mortal (and thus differing from the more dignified 120); hence a man in general…
- Note as in “take” this word “wife” does not distinguish between slave, whore, or married; it is simply a woman as a cohabitant of a recognized relationship.
Giants 5303 nephiyl; or nephil; from 5307; properly, a feller, i.e. a bully or tyrant:-- giant.
5307 naphal; a primitive root; to fall, in a great variety of applications (intransitive or causative, literal or figurative):-- be accepted, cast (down, self, [lots], out), cease, dire, divide (by lot), (let) fail, (cause to, let, make, ready to) fall (away, down, -en, -ing), fugitive, have [inheritance], inferior, be judged [by mistake for 6419], lay (along), (cause to) lie down, light (down), be (x hast) lost, lying, overthrow, overwhelm, perish, present (-ed, -ing), (make to) rot, slay, smite out, x surely, throw down.
- Note there is nothing here to require great stature but there is nothing here that disallows great stature either. Our English perception of “giant” from the Greek translation of nephil warps our understanding of the original word used; “one who makes others fall”; a feller. For some time I had fallen under the influence of other scholars who by jumping directly to the root of this word nephil, improperly assume these nephil are fallen ones (naphal) rather than ones who make others fall (nephil). Of course we do not argue that to make others fall, as a tyrant, the feller must himself be fallen at least to some degree, and so the jump is not specifically error but nonetheless misses the important intent of the verse. Nephil are bullies who make others fall by their powerful tyranny. This insignificance might not be an issue unless a need arises to distinguish a difference between the two, which I suggest we have just such a need, which I will eventually show.
Tyrant: …1. An absolute ruler; a sovereign unrestrained by law or constitution; a usurper of sovereignty. 2. Specifically: a. A monarch, or other ruler, who exercises absolute power oppressively or brutally; a despot. b. A cruel master; an oppressor.
Tyranny: …1. The government of authority of a tyrant; the office, tenure, or system of administration, of an absolute ruler called a tyrant. 2. Hence, arbitrary or despotic exercise of power; despotism. 3. A tyrannical act. 4. Severity; rigor.
- Please understand this word nephil translated as giant is used with the meaning such as; “He was a giant of a man able to command men where they didn’t want to go”. His actual stature is not discussed in such a comment nor is it in this passage (though an indirect connection is actually made much later in history which we will eventually get to).

1397 geber; from 1396; properly a valiant man or warrior; generally a person simply:-- everyone, man, x mighty.
- Note this is not a redundant word for nephil; these mighty men are not specifically defined as fallen or making others fall, yet tyrant is a very similar characteristic of nephil making the distinguishment of separation difficult. The focus here is on their ability more than their mission while nephil is the opposite. This is important when we attempt to discover the cause of the situation in question.
Old 5769 owlam…; from 5956; properly concealed, i.e. the vanishing point; generally time out of mind (past or future), i.e. (practically) eternity; frequently adverbial (especially with preposition prefix) always:-- always (-s), ancient (time), any more, continuance, eternal, (for, [n-]) ever (-lasting, -more, of old), lasting, long (time), (of) old (time), perpetual, at any time, (beginning of the) world (+ without end). Compare 5331, 5703.
- Note that this word is regarding place in time and since Moses wrote Genesis long after the events we understand him to reference great legendary men long before his day but still remembered in legend. Those he wrote to at the time knew of these men of legends though today we have nearly forgotten them in time if it were not for the Greeks who personalized the stories to remind us of their existence. Did the Greeks actually have such legendary men themselves; the hybrid offspring of the gods? That is a mystery and why they are classed mythology. Today we speak of them much as Moses’ generation spoke of the earlier legends but Moses, as the scribe of God, confirmed they were real. It sort of shakes our perception of Greek mythology doesn’t it? Just remember the verification of the one does not automatically guarantee the validity of the other. I can’t validate the Greek gods but I can be confident about the Men of Renown, of Old.
Men 582 enowsh; from 605; properly a mortal (and thus differing from the more dignified 120); hence a man in general (singly or collectively):--…
- Note this is a generic word for mankind whether normal, giant or hybrid; the distinction is their mortality. This distinction is meaningless unless associated with non-mortals.
Renown 8034 shem; a primitive word [perhaps rather from 7760 through the idea of definite and conspicuous position; compare 8064]; an appellation, as a mark or memorial of individuality; by implication honor, authority, character:-- + base, [in-] fame [-ous], name (-d), renown, report.
- In otherwords; someone memorably special (unique), and the duration (length) of the memorial defines the greatness of their renown. Therefore these guys were really something!
Finally note that daughters in all cases of this verse means exactly what we think it means with nothing worthy of notation until specifically identified with whose daughters they were; of the Ademic (human) line as opposed to simply mortal. This distinction is only important if there is an alternative…. which the verse suggests there is.
Now let’s read that passage again and incorporate our deeper understanding:
“And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown” Genesis 6:1-4.

Before any decision the question is simple; “Should I or shouldn’t I?”. It’s AFTER the decision that the questions really get complex. Brushing the line is often seen as necessary and even a good thing, and no one is arguing with that, but brushing that line makes necessary a sharpened awareness of EXACTLY where that line is and a heightened caution not to cross it.
Does this sound too restricting or too unreasonable? We face such conditions daily. Stop behind the painted line and there is no issue regarding just how close you are to it, but let your car “end up” beyond the line and the risk of a fatal incident skyrockets. Meat grinders, lawn mowers, electricity etc. all are common no brainers walking that very line as a daily occurrence. Why get mad at God for drawing the really important "Do Not Cross" line that all these acceptable temporal Types are there to explain?

Obviously doctors and repairs are not a problem, the problem is looking to them as to God. There is a line.
The question then is; “Where is it?”

Remember that we are looking for comparisons to find “about when” the end will again come as in the days of Noah (Matthew 24:37).
For the sake of clarity in a complex topic I have elected to write out our target passage of discussion before beginning the several post exposition:
1. “And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
2. that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
3. And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
4. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
5. And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
7. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.”
Genesis 6:1-7.
Though Noah and his family (and thus humanity) survived this global destruction we have no problem accepting that this was the end of the world and we should be looking for a repeat in Type.
In the next few posts we will deeply contemplate all these verses in the effort to identify our own proximity to such a fate as this global genocide declared by God himself in verse 7, which Jesus described as the end of the world in Matthew 24. I will be jumping all around in this passage of scripture and it may at first be confusing, but should iron itself out as we continue. I begin with the significant change for humanity found in verse 3 that was promised even before the fatal events of verse 7 took place.

Genesis 6:3:
"And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive (1777) with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years" Genesis 6:3.
This verse is one of those secret surprises because it’s easy to think “you get it” with a quick read but has a completely different meaning when seriously asking why it’s worded like it is.
”Yet”:
[Error correction 4/2/13] From Adam to the Flood we note that no ones life was declared limited to 120 years (Noah’s own dad was the shortest recorded at 777 years: Genesis 5:31) Yet doing more research I find that Genesis 23:1 declares long after the flood Sarah lived 127 years, and Genesis 25:7 tells us Abraham lived 175, etc., so the 120-year-limitation-on-human-lifespan theory doesn’t hold water. Therefore, it seems more likely that this 120 years is a clock starting at the point God said he would destroy man, which actually informed them when the flood would come. In otherwords; “because mankind is flesh he will not always be around for my Spirit to strive with because of his sin, nevertheless (yet) he still has 120 left.”
”Strive”:
We find that the Old English word “strive” used in the translation did not so easily mean what we think it means today: The Original Hebrew 1777 diyn did not mean simply “a fight with men” as we superficially interpret strive today, the interpretation is a bit more complex:
Strong’s first edition 1894; 45th printing 1989:
strive 1777 diyn deen; or (Gen. 6:3) duwn, doon; a primitive root [compare 113]; to rule; by implication to judge (as umpire); also to strive (as at law):-- contend, execute (judgment), judge, minister judgment, plead (the cause), at strife, strive.
113 adown…; from an unused root (meaning to rule); sovereign, i.e. controller (human or divine):-- lord, master, owner….
This definition speaks of “rules of order”; “actively making sure things are done right”. Being engrossed in the 2012 Olympics last week, we should have no difficulty understanding the role of a referee, or more accurately “umpire”, as he strives with the participants.
Modern Electronic Strong’s:
strive 1777 diyn or (Gen. 6:3) duwn {doon}; a primitive roy (spelling error? root?) a straight course, i.e. sail direct:-- (come) with a straight course.
This definition keeps the same spirit of the original but provides another way to comprehend it; It speaks of maintaining a specific long range goal, i.e. correcting deviation by Creator established unchanging means of extra-terrestrial navigation, i.e. the stars. Man cannot mess up the stars by corruption of his way; the rules are outside of his manipulation in any way, yet he can confuse the rules of navigation by applying a whole other meaning such as Astrology which provides a “new” means of navigation in a completely different (wrong) way.
With the revised definition we see an even more clear perspective of the earlier, that this duwn is not; “to fight with in overpowering strength”, but rather “to guide with specified rules of order to succeed in reaching the proper goal of the rule Maker”, not as a team-leader or even a coach but as a third party umpire regulating (judging) the activity by applying the rules; i.e. strive with (alongside) to support adherence to the lawful goal AND/OR strive with (against) as a judge for violations. This is a concept of direct accountability for the express purpose of maintaining the rules of conduct. How it applies depends completely on our behavior at any given moment! The umpire doesn’t necessarily have any personal animosity to the offender he penalizes, or personal attachment to the conformer he approves, it’s simply the rules of the game as set forth, i.e. “If you foul, your score while fouling is not counted and there is also a penalty, and if you don’t foul, your scoring efforts are counted”, it’s just a part of the game (II Timothy 2:5), past performance has nothing to do with present performance; a foul is a foul when it is made (Ezekiel 3:17-21).
”With”:
By evaluating the interpretation we see the word “with”, though having the same meaning either way, can be interpreted as both striving against or striving alongside;
“I fight with you against our enemy” or,
“I fight with you because we are enemies”.
Curiously the umpire applies both variations at different times, directly to either party, depending on our immediate activity as it applies to the rules. When I conduct myself within the rules then the striving is with me as “in favor”, but when I conduct myself contrary to the rules then the striving is with me as “in opposition”, Same me, same umpire, same rules, different response according to my conduct. This is because an umpire is not partial to the participants on either side of the contest but to the rules alone (Acts 10:34-35).
This foundational concept is the very important power of America’s original Republic; “A government of laws, and not of men” (*1), rather than today’s American corrupted Democracy believing and spreading to the world this new warm and fuzzy destruction; A government of men, and not of laws.
I don’t wish to track off of the main topic of this post but this concept is critical to the whole thing. America now faces utter destruction by her progressive confusion in the same way the Church faces utter destruction by her progressive confusion (Revelation 1:20+chapters 2&3). Originally set up in Type as a husband and wife marriage between law and men with the law being irreproachably supreme though dispersed at the hand of the bride, today by abuse of our feminine role as the authorized distributor, we have elected to cast off the law as oppressive and now operate, not just emotionally free from the law, but wholly outside of the law. This is the spirit of the independent woman who is so appealing to sensual fallen (naphal) man (Genesis 4:6); the boundless woman free to do any dirty thing she wants without rebuke or punishment; “I have no master but myself”. Very different from the faithful wife who also feels she has no chains of oppression, operating freely without law but not outside of the law. She simply does not want to do those lawless things.
This lawless independence is both seen as “Grace” in the new Christianity outside the “oppressive” commands of Christ, and as World Democracy outside the law of Republican Government, which both are now erupting across the globe in wonderful liberation from oppression in Dirty Grace if you will. Don’t dwell on the legitimacy of such liberation at this point, we will discuss that later, the topic right now is the emotionally liberating abandonment of the law in general, for the sake of “freedom” from being governed at all. The result is human nephilism even before the demons get “intimately” involved (v.4). (Don’t worry, we will get to that in detail later).
Diminishing Cycles:
With the ascension of Jesus Christ and the subsequent receipt of the Comforter to strive with man once again (John 14:26) though in a different way, we see it is a kind of repeat of the time from Adam until Noah’s day. In the role and authority as umpire, the LORD strove with man through many hundreds of years of lifespan to ensure the rules of life were recognized, understood, and followed (Genesis 4:6-7= I Corinthians 3:12-13) but now we have significantly fewer years in which to win our Gold Medal race. Something in Noah’s day made that dramatic change necessary. The sons of God (angels) did not just foul against the game rules but parallel with humanity they abandoned the game rules and mutually carried that (v.2) to the degree of actually inter-breeding (v.4) and so in Noah’s day God declared a change in the way he would interact with mankind; no longer as umpire in either role discussed:
“…My spirit shall not always strive with man because besides being eternal spirit he is also still finite flesh: and although exacerbating this complexity of his finite humanity, he only has 120 left to figure it out (v.5)” Genesis 6:3 my paraphrase.
The Greek Septuagint words it; “…my spirit shall certainly not remain among these men forever because they are flesh, but their days shall be an hundred and twenty years” Genesis 6:3 LXX
God was declaring a very significant concept that man’s period of God’s striving with him for the purpose of reaching the end goal was already limited because he was flesh, but now is limited even more perhaps because his flesh was somehow even more flesh than it was supposed to be. In otherwords; We hardly have enough time anymore to get it figured out in one lifespan! (I will explain this “more flesh” idea later).
With the more intimate understanding of the words “strive” (in both the old and the modern definitions) and the double-option use of the word “with”, the original intent of the verse seems to tell us that God's spirit will not continue to run a direct course with man because of a new fundamental corruption that happened in the days of Noah and will again in Type happen at the last end of the world (Daniel 8:19) discussed in Matthew 24. And now we begin to see a chartable reoccurring trend of ages with a progressively diminishing relationship with God as we remember that Adam and Eve were the first to experience a similar age ending change in how God strives with mankind (Genesis 3:22-24, and don’t miss the underlying reason in verse 22 and 11:5-8), and then we see the pattern again with Cain (Genesis 4:11-14) and yet again with Lamech (Genesis 4:23), each abusing by excuse God’s active forgiving aid to the previous generation for their diminished condition (Genesis 3:11-14=4:9,24), (discussed again in Post 291 Understand Yourself.
"Yes but, specifically why?"
Slightly jumping ahead of the study I submit it’s because man's flesh (his non-spiritual component as implied by; “also is flesh”) became corrupted by combining it with non-flesh components (i.e. “angelics” and other), which violated the game rules of the flesh so that God's Spirit needed to take a less direct course with him to arrive at the intended destination, if at all. Yes we are a designed combination of flesh and spirit in this complex game of life (I Corinthians 15:44), but the flesh component is required to be and remain flesh (I Corinthians 15:50) until it is translated (I Corinthians 15:51-54), and so to alter that earthly flesh with the introduction of unauthorized earthly spirit (like changing physical star navigation to spiritual astrology guidance) is to require a review of the very game rules themselves. This is the representational question in Type of 2012 Track and Field Olympian Oscar Pistorius (http://finchin.com/blade-runner-runner-olympics/) (*2).
After review, the game administrators (IAAF) rightly deemed his mechanical limbs as giving no advantage because it simply aided his return to human capability, but now begins a whole new necessary Division of complex regulation as this kind of thing progresses with technology blending the flesh with the mechanical to un-human abilities. The line between acceptable and unacceptable is not as simple as it at first seemed before we crossed that barrier (*3). I suggest this is why God stated it as he did; ”…my spirit shall not always strive with man…”, leaving the exact “when” symbolically up for review as things progressed toward the unacceptable “mechanical advantage” as it were.
Going Too Far:
Lawlessness in the flesh is easily regulated within the game of life by “punishment for a foul” (Romans 2:5-12). But when the progressively lawless (mischievously creative) players begin blending the flesh with the supernatural for “mechanical advantage” in the flesh, the less an umpire can do within the game to regulate the game properly until the players cast out (reject) the umpire and his rules entirely, thinking themselves finally “free” to play as they like without the Ogre breathing down their necks. “It’s our game, we’ll play it how we like!”
Think about it; other than blow the whistle and aggressively point out the offending party which then submits to the game rules as governed, what can an umpire do if the players on both teams simply choose to ignore his rulings and instead “join forces” as if to battle the umpire himself against the very rules of the game (Psalm 2:1-3, Revelation 16:14)? Now the umpire must use drastic means not directly related to the internal regulations of the game; maybe he turns off the gym lights (Matthew 24:29) or maybe he throws chairs onto the gym floor (Revelation 16:21), maybe he grabs them by the throat and gives them a good shaking as he shouts at them his disapproval (Revelation 16:18). Because he is the authority that actually invented the game, organized the game, as well as built and owns the gym in which the game is play (Genesis 1:1 [not to mention he made the players too!]), he has a near limitless number of things he can do to get their attention (Psalm 105:27-38, Psalm 2:4-5). Finishing the game becomes secondary to stopping the lawless chaos in his gym (II Thessalonians 2:3-4=8).
It seems by our verse that God is showing concern that mankind will not make it to the finish at all (Luke 18:7-8). But if they no longer want to play by the rules what’s the point of continuing the game?
And now we have an extremely shortened lifespan in which to figure that out by trial and error!
As the participants of the game of life, we cry “UNFAIR!” against the umpire, but don’t we also eject athletes from our own strangely allegoric games for willful cheating? And do we listen in empathy as the convicted steroid enhanced cheater complains he was treated unfairly, or do we rather spurn him in disdain as a pathetic looser and hold firm the judgment for the sake of game integrity? Why do we feel righteous in our judgments over our games but complain against God for doing the same thing for the same Type reasons over his own game? (Numbers 16:1-3,28-33 resulting in 16:41-42). The answer is that in the same self-centered perspective of the cheater, we have forgotten that we are no one special for which the rules should be uniquely altered (Deuteronomy 1:7, 16:19, II Chronicles 9:7, Proverbs 24:23, 28:21, Romans 2:10-11, Colossians 3:25, James 2:1,9, I Peter 1:17). There are many scriptures on this topic because God knew that through the misapplication of God-given democratic compassion, we would corrupt our understanding of this Republican Law principle while the consequences are fatal to the body as a cancer. Yes, we are the authorized administrators of the Law, but the Law is God’s. To usurp his authority is to become giants/nephil; i.e. those who by a tyrannical nature make others fall.

In Context:
Our particular single study verse seemed to be oddly placed in the middle of a separate thought and by the wording and insertion it was difficult to make this verse apply where it is located, until we saw the cause and reason for the limited lifespan. Now the verse fits in place more easily as we read the context around it so that we can identify in what circumstances our verse applies, (just earnestly read through the passage first and pick up the inserted details after):
1. “And it came to pass, when men (120) began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
2. that the sons of God saw the daughters of men (120) that they were fair (2896); and they took (3947) them wives (802) of all which they chose…
3. (Our study verse goes here)
4. …There were giants (5303) in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men (120), and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men (1368) which were of old (5769), men (582) of renown (8034)” Genesis 6:1-4.
Our study verse comes in the middle of this so lets simplify the details:
1. Men began to multiply all over the earth (not just regionally).
2. The angels saw that these men’s daughters were fair/beautiful (all around desirable) and took whichever they desired to be their wives.
3. 3. God in essence made an evaluation of these new circumstances and said his spirit would not always umpire (judge) mankind’s activities as rightful ruler because man’s flesh would somehow “alter”, and so after another 120 years God would bring it to an end. In otherwords man would take a destructive independent course without God because his spirit became uniquely earthly minded as if he could alter the conditions to stay here forever (I am still getting to that idea).
4. God made this evaluation at the time there were nephil (nef-eel’) in the earth (giants=nephil: fellers; ones who make fall).
5. And there were nephil in the earth also after that, when these angels and their wives began to have children.
6. The offspring of this angelic/human interbreeding became Mighty Men which were those legendary men of old; i.e. Men of Renown, NOT specifically called nephil/giants as fellers, but gibbowr/giants as supermen.
It is easy in the confusion of the wording to miss that verse 4 shows these nephil (i.e. giants) were not at first of the angel/human breeding, nor necessarily even after that:
“There were giants (nephil) in the earth in those days; and also after that, when (the angel/human breeding produced powerfully famous offspring, i.e.) the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men (gibbowr) which were of old, men of renown” Genesis 6:4.
Verse 2 does not mention breeding or children yet that is obviously suggested and maybe confirmed by verse 3 implying that man by breeding with angels is now also something other than flesh but is in fact still flesh; “…for that he also is flesh…” if this is a correct interpretation.
This implied crossbreeding is easily concluded as the cause of the statement; “there were giants in those days”, but the seeming redundancy of the statement again after verse 3 makes no sense until you identify the difference between wives of verse 2 and mothers of verse 4 made specific by the inclusion of “and also after that” in verse 4 referring to verse 2 before the hybrid children were born.
It seems clear that The nephil were of men before the production of demon/human hybrids! yet this is never considered in the excitement of the really crazy hybrid concept that scripture unavoidably declares as matter-of-fact.
I will show that because of this pre-condition of human nephilism the subsequent breeding with angels were able to create a third type of man that by the wording seems to also be separate from the human nephil at least in some recognizable way; “there were giants (nephil) in the earth at that time, and also after that when this other thing began to happen” Genesis 6:3 my paraphrase (go back and read it if you want). So let’s break this down into groups:
1. We have normal fallen mankind; children of Adam progressively growing more wicked…. whose daughters for reasons not yet defined have become over time very desirable in every way; i.e. beautiful.
2. A. We also have these giants i.e. nephil (fellers) that are causatively undefined “more fallen” than normal mankind but we can conjecture were nephil by the same cause the women were beautiful (discussed later).
2. B. Angels (not declared nephil but by later study clearly understood to be so) took some of these unusually desirable women as wives. God then complained the game rules had been broken with significant consequences.
3. Then the breeding of these greatly desirable women with fallen angels result in offspring, which became the legendary men of old; i.e. men of renown (not specifically called nephil). We only infer (with strong indication) that the nephil gene in these unusually desirable women was a part of the works to help create the renown of these angelic superhuman offspring that may or may not have been unusually large as we understand “giant” today.
The short of it is that at the time of Noah’s flood there were:
1. regular man,
2. nephil man, and
3. demonic/human hybrid man.
Because this extremely unnatural concept of demonic breeding with human women to actually create hybrid offspring is so “aluminum-foil hat” insanely crazy to seriously consider plausible, I want to lay out as much scriptural research as practical to help you evaluate what God is actually saying here:

Men 120 adam; from 119; ruddy i.e. a human being (an individual or the species, mankind, etc.):-- x another, + hypocrite, + common sort, x low, man (mean[average], of low degree), person.
- Note this is a different word than used at the end of the verse and here specifically means normal human beings as specifically distinguishable from non-human. The descendants of Adam.
Sons of God; 1121, of, 430 ben ha ‘Elohiym;
- This combination of words results in a specific scriptural phrase defining the direct creations of God, defined more at length in the previous post but for accurate simplicity; is here speaking of angels generically. Note that it does not state or imply their condition of fallen or unfallen, simply that they are angels. This declaration of specific creation is intentionally to stand in contrast to normal humanity.
Fair 2896 towb; from 2895; good (as an adjective) in the widest sense; used likewise as a noun…(good, a good or good thing, a good man or woman; the good, goods or good things, good men or women), also as an adverb (well):-- beautiful, best, better, bountiful, cheerful, at ease, x fair (word), (be in) favor, fine, glad, good…graciously, joyful, kindly, kindness, liketh (best), loving, merry, x most, pleasant, + pleaseth, pleasure, precious, prosperity, ready, sweet, wealth, welfare, (be) well ([-favored]).
- Please note there is not a single indication of anything negative in this definition of fair; these woman are smokin’ hot in every way: physically, personality, capability, intelligence and demeanor. You simply don’t get any closer to goddess while still in the flesh!

- Note there is nothing here to require great stature but there is nothing here that disallows great stature either. Our English perception of “giant” from the Greek translation of nephil warps our understanding of the original word used; “one who makes others fall”; a feller. For some time I had fallen under the influence of other scholars who by jumping directly to the root of this word nephil, improperly assume these nephil are fallen ones (naphal) rather than ones who make others fall (nephil). Of course we do not argue that to make others fall, as a tyrant, the feller must himself be fallen at least to some degree, and so the jump is not specifically error but nonetheless misses the important intent of the verse. Nephil are bullies who make others fall by their powerful tyranny. This insignificance might not be an issue unless a need arises to distinguish a difference between the two, which I suggest we have just such a need, which I will eventually show.
Tyrant: …1. An absolute ruler; a sovereign unrestrained by law or constitution; a usurper of sovereignty. 2. Specifically: a. A monarch, or other ruler, who exercises absolute power oppressively or brutally; a despot. b. A cruel master; an oppressor.
Tyranny: …1. The government of authority of a tyrant; the office, tenure, or system of administration, of an absolute ruler called a tyrant. 2. Hence, arbitrary or despotic exercise of power; despotism. 3. A tyrannical act. 4. Severity; rigor.
- Please understand this word nephil translated as giant is used with the meaning such as; “He was a giant of a man able to command men where they didn’t want to go”. His actual stature is not discussed in such a comment nor is it in this passage (though an indirect connection is actually made much later in history which we will eventually get to).
Mighty 1368 gibbower…; intensive from the same as 1397; powerful; by implication warrior, tyrant:-- champion, chief, x excel, giant, man, mighty (man, one), strong (man), valiant man.

- Note this is not a redundant word for nephil; these mighty men are not specifically defined as fallen or making others fall, yet tyrant is a very similar characteristic of nephil making the distinguishment of separation difficult. The focus here is on their ability more than their mission while nephil is the opposite. This is important when we attempt to discover the cause of the situation in question.
Old 5769 owlam…; from 5956; properly concealed, i.e. the vanishing point; generally time out of mind (past or future), i.e. (practically) eternity; frequently adverbial (especially with preposition prefix) always:-- always (-s), ancient (time), any more, continuance, eternal, (for, [n-]) ever (-lasting, -more, of old), lasting, long (time), (of) old (time), perpetual, at any time, (beginning of the) world (+ without end). Compare 5331, 5703.
- Note that this word is regarding place in time and since Moses wrote Genesis long after the events we understand him to reference great legendary men long before his day but still remembered in legend. Those he wrote to at the time knew of these men of legends though today we have nearly forgotten them in time if it were not for the Greeks who personalized the stories to remind us of their existence. Did the Greeks actually have such legendary men themselves; the hybrid offspring of the gods? That is a mystery and why they are classed mythology. Today we speak of them much as Moses’ generation spoke of the earlier legends but Moses, as the scribe of God, confirmed they were real. It sort of shakes our perception of Greek mythology doesn’t it? Just remember the verification of the one does not automatically guarantee the validity of the other. I can’t validate the Greek gods but I can be confident about the Men of Renown, of Old.
Men 582 enowsh; from 605; properly a mortal (and thus differing from the more dignified 120); hence a man in general (singly or collectively):--…
- Note this is a generic word for mankind whether normal, giant or hybrid; the distinction is their mortality. This distinction is meaningless unless associated with non-mortals.
Renown 8034 shem; a primitive word [perhaps rather from 7760 through the idea of definite and conspicuous position; compare 8064]; an appellation, as a mark or memorial of individuality; by implication honor, authority, character:-- + base, [in-] fame [-ous], name (-d), renown, report.
- In otherwords; someone memorably special (unique), and the duration (length) of the memorial defines the greatness of their renown. Therefore these guys were really something!
Finally note that daughters in all cases of this verse means exactly what we think it means with nothing worthy of notation until specifically identified with whose daughters they were; of the Ademic (human) line as opposed to simply mortal. This distinction is only important if there is an alternative…. which the verse suggests there is.
Now let’s read that passage again and incorporate our deeper understanding:
“And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. As The Days of Noah
Post 259
In Matthew 24:3, while discussing the timing and sign of his return marking the end of the world (165; an age), Jesus himself declared;
“Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be” Matthew 24:34-37.
First, let’s move beyond the concept that Jesus might have been talking about the Jewish age of Temples and Priests and Sacrifices. He was (Genesis 49:10+Daniel 9:26). But simply scanning back over the incredible events prophesied in this chapter describing The End, we know that by everything after v.14 he could only be describing as a Type the fall of Jerusalem and the end of the Jewish age of 70 AD that actually occurred 37 years after his talk; before the passing of the generation he was speaking to.
So while the fulfillment of that significant historic event actually fits this chapter pretty well but not completely accurate in the primary sense, we know the chapter is speaking of something else, the end of another age, the end of the world (as we know it) and his return that would change it. This obviously didn’t happen to the generation he was speaking to so what gives? Obviously “this generation” was meaning the generation that saw the events in the previous verses.
Without going into the details, this tells us that the last events of verses 29-31 may give indication that they could last a long time. And right after such a horrific tribulation as described, this would most certainly give reason for overwhelming discouragement, so Jesus tells us; they won’t.
“…when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors” Matthew 24:33b.
The following is a brief list of Matthew 24 “events” that fit both the end times as well as the end of the Jewish age he was talking to:

Regarding Matthew 24:4-5 - Most probably many did arise to claim they were Jesus returned in the 37 years between 33 AD and 70 AD as is evidenced by Paul’s specific denial that his return had already happened (II Thessalonians 2:1-3). Likewise we can expect the same thing on a whole new level at the time of the end.
Regarding Matthew 24:6 - When have there not been wars and rumors of wars? Jesus said this means little regarding the signs of when the end would come. We can only expect them to get progressively worse… but it may suggest that there will first come a period of peace, so that the coming of wars and rumors of wars would indeed be startling times.
Regarding Matthew 24:7-8 - Nations and kingdoms will broil in conflict, famines and diseases will indeed take place, and there will be earthquakes all over. These are just the beginning as gestation and not indication the day has come. Again I ask, throughout history; when have these things ever not been? So why does he even speak of them here? “The beginning of sorrows” is the key concept; he is speaking of the contractions of a pregnant woman; they will simply get more frequent and more intense long before the birth but only after the child is conceived. Before conception the woman may get a tummy ach now and again but these “signs” are something different; by charting them they indicate the trend of something more than a random cramp. But don’t get all worked up, its not yet the end, though by them we know the end has now been conceived and is on its way.
Regarding Matthew 24:9 - Shortly after the resurrection of Christ, the apostles and disciples began to be treated poorly and even murdered as recorded already in the Acts, which was written soon after Jesus. But who would have thought these atrocities, that could be the checkmark next to this verse as fulfilled, would continue to accelerate to the millions as by the Roman Catholic Church and many other national leaders around the world such as Hitler and Islam? This too then speaks of frequency and intensity rather than a point-in-time checkmark of yes or no.
Regarding Matthew 24:10 - Offense, betrayal, and hatred? Picture a day when these were not normal humanity. I know I cannot. But isn’t that the point of the verse? Apparently there was a day (when Christ spoke this) that this was not the norm of the world. Yes Rome was well into the violent conquest of the known world, as every GDE had done in their turn, so including the many lesser nations unusually in conflict all at once, Jesus was perhaps speaking on a “person-by-person” universal condition of spirit that apparently was not normal at the time. All these years later, even in America; (the world’s Christian Nation), the evidence of our clamoring media concerned about such violence being regularly news worthy, is reason enough to recognize this must be “a new thing” or it wouldn’t be reported. So once again this is apparently speaking of a charting progression and not a point in time.
Regarding Matthew 24:11 - False prophets deceiving many. Today this is so commonly ignored as “whatever” that many have even stopped trying to listen for the truth because of all the lies and deceptions. Again I turn you to the New Testament written soon after Christ’s Ascension, instructing believers of that day regarding these false prophets (Galatians 1:6-9) as indication these could be checked off as fulfilled before that generation passed, but now we see it as nothing more than a much longer trend of accelerated activity.
Regarding Matthew 24:12 - The love of large numbers of people shutting off because of iniquity. My first thoughts are of the huge starving people-groups across the world who have organizations eager to help them but generous people of comparative wealth holding back funds because the huge volume of wicked greedy people masquerading as such organizations steeling the donations meant to aid the starving. So the loving don’t give, and the people starve.
Likewise I think of the many sound ministries devoting their very lives to earnestly spread the gospel of truth through labor and books and very expensive media to reach unprecedented numbers, but the people who actually believe in the cause refuse to give even a little of the much needed resource in order to keep them going. This results in these ministries forced to swallow their dignity and shamefully beg for ministry funding that should be coming in from obedient believers without prompting (Matthew 10:9-10, I Corinthians 9:11,14), it’s not God’s job to feed them it’s yours (I Corinthians 9:9).
Then, by your lack of their provision, you actually despise them for their begging because you choose by common iniquity to believe that they, like the thieves, want it for themselves and so you feel justified for not giving while the ministry folds for lack of funding and you buy a new TV instead and watch junk because “it’s the only thing on”. Is this not love gone horribly cold?
But Paul himself addressed this very topic as he wrote to the churches of his day (Philippians 2:30, II Timothy 4:9-11, I Corinthians 16:1-2, Galatians 6:6); “Provide for the ministry and even more so if it ministers directly to you” (Jeremiah 22:13 in type). You wouldn’t think of not paying for a meal at a restaurant, even if you didn’t like it, so why does it never cross your mind to drop the price of meal in the offering for an hour’s worth of spiritual food on Sunday, even if you think he did a lousy job? Is your love just cold or are you now a freeloading thief? (Malachi 3:8).
Regarding Matthew 24:14 - Christ’s good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the world of every nation and THEN shall the end come. After Pentecost the Church was forcefully dispersed through the known world by persecution and this began the preaching to every nation perhaps fulfilling this prophecy allowing that the kingdom of Christ had indeed come within the spirit of men before that generation passed. But of all the specifics up to this last point, this one has a more obvious future meaning that the others; we are only now able to say this specific of WHEN is now at its fulfillment. “And then shall the end come”; and so fell Judah with Jerusalem and the age of the Jew’s was over before that very generation passed, just as Jesus promised in a simple surface meaning.
But it doesn’t end there. His detailed description of “the coming of the end” begins with Matthew 24:15, and by it we understand that the first 13 verses were not so much leading up to the fall of the Jewish age “end of the world” but more accurately regarding another age; the last age before he returns; the Gentile age (Luke 21:24+25-28) that we are now in.

Our Age?
Was Jesus speaking specifically of our age? Are we finally the generation that shall not pass till all these things are fulfilled? (Matthew 24:34).
Jesus was NOT referring to any of the above listed events up to v. 14 (when the end would finally begin) anymore than contractions mean the day of the birth has arrived. You have pregnancy and then you have delivery. Both come with contractions and obviously tied together by cause, but not the same things by any means.
So let’s take a look at Jesus’ description of events, regarding the actual “This generation“ generation that sees “all these things” happen, to see if that means us as our excited preachers loudly and confidently declare is fact.
Regarding Matthew 24:15 - “When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet (Daniel 9:27, 12:11), stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)”…
This very clear and obvious sign (that anybody who reads it can figure out) IS the sign of the coming of the end (Matthew 24:14). Has this happened yet?
Yes, by Antiochus Epiphanies (*1) on Kislew (Nov.-Dec.) 25, 168 BC as described accurately in historical chronology by Daniel 11:31.
Daniel eleven, so accurately describes the historical events of “the silent years” between the Old and New Testaments that it simply cannot be mistaken for any other period than what it is; the end of the Greek Empire and the rise of Rome… but did Christ come before that generation passed? NO, that happened 200 years before he was speaking of his return still to come after his upcoming departure. That early event of desolation really did ussure in Jesus’ coming… his first one! Just as the second one will do for his return.
Wow, I have already rabbit trailed this way off topic so I will wrap this up here with the simple concept that scripture OFTEN has proven to provide a very close prototype event that turns out to be only a forerunner of the actual event that fully fulfills the prophecy. The abomination that made desolate of Antiochus Epiphanies was just such a prototype shown in Daniel 12:11 of another event still to come, which Jesus was speaking of.
“So why did Jesus claim that anybody who could read would be able to figure this out? It sounds complex.”
No, that was the reason for the historical prototype long before his speech; to make the future event extremely easy to identify when it comes. You simply cannot get it wrong because we already have a historical example of what Jesus said would come. “OH! You mean like THAT, I get it!” kind of thing.
So, back to the question; Has this Abomination of Desolation already happened? NO. Therefore the end has not yet come; we have not yet arrived at the end of Matthew 24:14 before the end begins. The girl, though uncomfortable with growing labor pain, is still just pregnant. Put the car back in the garage and take off your coat, it’s not yet time to panic (*2), 2012 is not the end of world because the temple has not yet even been rebuilt for the required abomination to take place… but don’t ignore the poignant point that the Jewish world (age) did in fact end a few years after Jesus’ Matthew 24 speech, without the specific prophesied desolating abomination spoken of by Daniel. This should be a warning to the Church age (world) marking their own end without the “eagerly anticipated” abomination that makes desolate. By then you can bet there will be a lot of confused Christians asking; “Where is the promise of his coming?" (II Peter 3:4).
Now, Since Jesus did say that all the events of “birth” between Matthew 24:15 and 31 would happen in a single generation (Matthew 24:34), we should be curious to discover about when in time these things might begin, in otherwords; can we pre-identify about the time that the Abomination of Desolation will happen, marking the beginning of the very short end/birth? (Daniel 12:11-12). Jesus seemed to imply this idea in Matthew 24:32-33, telling us that although we can’t pin down the day and hour (v.36) we should at least figure out which particular summer by the occurrence of “all these things,” obviously meaning those between verses 15-31. But until the actual event of the Matthew 24:15 “Let’s get to the hospital this baby is coming now!” panic, Jesus kind of gave us the ability to monitor and trend the contractions of verses 5-14 to get a good idea of the timing. So let’s see if the scriptures provide any other details to help us trend these early contractions.

The Days of Noah:
“But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be” Matthew 24:37.
Well that’s convenient, we didn’t have to go very far on this quest. Did you follow that? From the abomination that makes desolate (signaling the beginning of the end) until Jesus actually appears in heaven on his return (Matthew 24:30) will be within a single generation. THEREFORE, we can know that whatever the days of Noah were like before the flood, should also be taking place at the time just before that last generation. Remember verses 5-14 were trending an increase over time building up to that one generation collection of “end events”, so all we need to do is find out what it was like in the days of Noah and compare it to our present day to discover if the summer of the Abomination of Desolation is imminent or still a few summers/years away.
“And all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years: and he died” Genesis 9:29.
Well that’s kind of a long time. Can we narrow it down any?
“And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years” Genesis 9:28.
OK, This means that the days of Noah before the flood were 600 years. This is the period we need to examine for comparison.
Now 600 years sounds like a long time considering America has only officially been a nation for 236 years, but in the scope of world history and the significance of the actual last generation before Jesus returns, it’s not really that long. Don’t miss the suggestive concept that whatever transpired in those 600 years of Noah’s lifespan before the flood will necessarily transpire in the much-shortened single lifespan today. Consider too that we know by the progressive trend of things listed in Matthew 24:5-14 that a similar increasing trending must have followed Noah until the actual day of the flood, so if we can find any details at or before the flood we should be able to trend backwards until we find a similarity to our present day and therefore come close to where we are on the timeline toward the last generation. This is why I am directly connecting the Last Days events of Matthew 24 with the flood of Noah, and it wasn’t my idea; Jesus came up with it.

Of course right off the bat Jesus jumpstarted our research by providing the concept that life was going on as usual:
“For in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and (they) knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be” Matthew 24:38-39.
This is important to know because as we investigate the events of The End as described in Matthew 24:15-31 we see there is nothing “business as usual” there. The only way we can successfully integrate the above concept into Matthew 24 is to identify v.15 as the day the door was shut on the ark; The end had come. Everything after v.15 is represented in the scripturally undescribed details of the flood as we imagine they didn’t just suddenly fall down and drowned on their wet lawn. Things got really, really bad before they finally succumbed to deep water. Therefore I offer the concept that whatever actually occurs in Matthew 24:5-14 is not so dramatic as to disrupt humanity’s successful efforts to continue living normally even in more troubled time than they are used to. And although we faithful will be able to observe the charted increase in these events, the world will not be convinced the end is soon upon us. So don’t spend any time using these evidences to prove to the public that the end is near, you will just look like a religious whacko fool with a cardboard sign on the street corner.
But what does it mean for us?
Just because she periodically screams with contractions does not mean the baby is coming yet. Slow down, gather your wits and quietly chart the event as more informative data. And for heaven’s sake don’t run around the neighborhood handing out cigars in your premature enthusiasm of what you know is coming.
Ok, Is there anything else we can learn from the Days of Noah?
Oh yes there is, and boy is it interesting!

Regarding Matthew 24:7-8 - Nations and kingdoms will broil in conflict, famines and diseases will indeed take place, and there will be earthquakes all over. These are just the beginning as gestation and not indication the day has come. Again I ask, throughout history; when have these things ever not been? So why does he even speak of them here? “The beginning of sorrows” is the key concept; he is speaking of the contractions of a pregnant woman; they will simply get more frequent and more intense long before the birth but only after the child is conceived. Before conception the woman may get a tummy ach now and again but these “signs” are something different; by charting them they indicate the trend of something more than a random cramp. But don’t get all worked up, its not yet the end, though by them we know the end has now been conceived and is on its way.
Regarding Matthew 24:9 - Shortly after the resurrection of Christ, the apostles and disciples began to be treated poorly and even murdered as recorded already in the Acts, which was written soon after Jesus. But who would have thought these atrocities, that could be the checkmark next to this verse as fulfilled, would continue to accelerate to the millions as by the Roman Catholic Church and many other national leaders around the world such as Hitler and Islam? This too then speaks of frequency and intensity rather than a point-in-time checkmark of yes or no.
Regarding Matthew 24:10 - Offense, betrayal, and hatred? Picture a day when these were not normal humanity. I know I cannot. But isn’t that the point of the verse? Apparently there was a day (when Christ spoke this) that this was not the norm of the world. Yes Rome was well into the violent conquest of the known world, as every GDE had done in their turn, so including the many lesser nations unusually in conflict all at once, Jesus was perhaps speaking on a “person-by-person” universal condition of spirit that apparently was not normal at the time. All these years later, even in America; (the world’s Christian Nation), the evidence of our clamoring media concerned about such violence being regularly news worthy, is reason enough to recognize this must be “a new thing” or it wouldn’t be reported. So once again this is apparently speaking of a charting progression and not a point in time.
Regarding Matthew 24:11 - False prophets deceiving many. Today this is so commonly ignored as “whatever” that many have even stopped trying to listen for the truth because of all the lies and deceptions. Again I turn you to the New Testament written soon after Christ’s Ascension, instructing believers of that day regarding these false prophets (Galatians 1:6-9) as indication these could be checked off as fulfilled before that generation passed, but now we see it as nothing more than a much longer trend of accelerated activity.
Regarding Matthew 24:12 - The love of large numbers of people shutting off because of iniquity. My first thoughts are of the huge starving people-groups across the world who have organizations eager to help them but generous people of comparative wealth holding back funds because the huge volume of wicked greedy people masquerading as such organizations steeling the donations meant to aid the starving. So the loving don’t give, and the people starve.
Likewise I think of the many sound ministries devoting their very lives to earnestly spread the gospel of truth through labor and books and very expensive media to reach unprecedented numbers, but the people who actually believe in the cause refuse to give even a little of the much needed resource in order to keep them going. This results in these ministries forced to swallow their dignity and shamefully beg for ministry funding that should be coming in from obedient believers without prompting (Matthew 10:9-10, I Corinthians 9:11,14), it’s not God’s job to feed them it’s yours (I Corinthians 9:9).
Then, by your lack of their provision, you actually despise them for their begging because you choose by common iniquity to believe that they, like the thieves, want it for themselves and so you feel justified for not giving while the ministry folds for lack of funding and you buy a new TV instead and watch junk because “it’s the only thing on”. Is this not love gone horribly cold?
But Paul himself addressed this very topic as he wrote to the churches of his day (Philippians 2:30, II Timothy 4:9-11, I Corinthians 16:1-2, Galatians 6:6); “Provide for the ministry and even more so if it ministers directly to you” (Jeremiah 22:13 in type). You wouldn’t think of not paying for a meal at a restaurant, even if you didn’t like it, so why does it never cross your mind to drop the price of meal in the offering for an hour’s worth of spiritual food on Sunday, even if you think he did a lousy job? Is your love just cold or are you now a freeloading thief? (Malachi 3:8).
Regarding Matthew 24:14 - Christ’s good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the world of every nation and THEN shall the end come. After Pentecost the Church was forcefully dispersed through the known world by persecution and this began the preaching to every nation perhaps fulfilling this prophecy allowing that the kingdom of Christ had indeed come within the spirit of men before that generation passed. But of all the specifics up to this last point, this one has a more obvious future meaning that the others; we are only now able to say this specific of WHEN is now at its fulfillment. “And then shall the end come”; and so fell Judah with Jerusalem and the age of the Jew’s was over before that very generation passed, just as Jesus promised in a simple surface meaning.
But it doesn’t end there. His detailed description of “the coming of the end” begins with Matthew 24:15, and by it we understand that the first 13 verses were not so much leading up to the fall of the Jewish age “end of the world” but more accurately regarding another age; the last age before he returns; the Gentile age (Luke 21:24+25-28) that we are now in.

Our Age?
Was Jesus speaking specifically of our age? Are we finally the generation that shall not pass till all these things are fulfilled? (Matthew 24:34).
Jesus was NOT referring to any of the above listed events up to v. 14 (when the end would finally begin) anymore than contractions mean the day of the birth has arrived. You have pregnancy and then you have delivery. Both come with contractions and obviously tied together by cause, but not the same things by any means.
So let’s take a look at Jesus’ description of events, regarding the actual “This generation“ generation that sees “all these things” happen, to see if that means us as our excited preachers loudly and confidently declare is fact.
Regarding Matthew 24:15 - “When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet (Daniel 9:27, 12:11), stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)”…
This very clear and obvious sign (that anybody who reads it can figure out) IS the sign of the coming of the end (Matthew 24:14). Has this happened yet?
Yes, by Antiochus Epiphanies (*1) on Kislew (Nov.-Dec.) 25, 168 BC as described accurately in historical chronology by Daniel 11:31.
Daniel eleven, so accurately describes the historical events of “the silent years” between the Old and New Testaments that it simply cannot be mistaken for any other period than what it is; the end of the Greek Empire and the rise of Rome… but did Christ come before that generation passed? NO, that happened 200 years before he was speaking of his return still to come after his upcoming departure. That early event of desolation really did ussure in Jesus’ coming… his first one! Just as the second one will do for his return.
Wow, I have already rabbit trailed this way off topic so I will wrap this up here with the simple concept that scripture OFTEN has proven to provide a very close prototype event that turns out to be only a forerunner of the actual event that fully fulfills the prophecy. The abomination that made desolate of Antiochus Epiphanies was just such a prototype shown in Daniel 12:11 of another event still to come, which Jesus was speaking of.
“So why did Jesus claim that anybody who could read would be able to figure this out? It sounds complex.”
No, that was the reason for the historical prototype long before his speech; to make the future event extremely easy to identify when it comes. You simply cannot get it wrong because we already have a historical example of what Jesus said would come. “OH! You mean like THAT, I get it!” kind of thing.
So, back to the question; Has this Abomination of Desolation already happened? NO. Therefore the end has not yet come; we have not yet arrived at the end of Matthew 24:14 before the end begins. The girl, though uncomfortable with growing labor pain, is still just pregnant. Put the car back in the garage and take off your coat, it’s not yet time to panic (*2), 2012 is not the end of world because the temple has not yet even been rebuilt for the required abomination to take place… but don’t ignore the poignant point that the Jewish world (age) did in fact end a few years after Jesus’ Matthew 24 speech, without the specific prophesied desolating abomination spoken of by Daniel. This should be a warning to the Church age (world) marking their own end without the “eagerly anticipated” abomination that makes desolate. By then you can bet there will be a lot of confused Christians asking; “Where is the promise of his coming?" (II Peter 3:4).
Now, Since Jesus did say that all the events of “birth” between Matthew 24:15 and 31 would happen in a single generation (Matthew 24:34), we should be curious to discover about when in time these things might begin, in otherwords; can we pre-identify about the time that the Abomination of Desolation will happen, marking the beginning of the very short end/birth? (Daniel 12:11-12). Jesus seemed to imply this idea in Matthew 24:32-33, telling us that although we can’t pin down the day and hour (v.36) we should at least figure out which particular summer by the occurrence of “all these things,” obviously meaning those between verses 15-31. But until the actual event of the Matthew 24:15 “Let’s get to the hospital this baby is coming now!” panic, Jesus kind of gave us the ability to monitor and trend the contractions of verses 5-14 to get a good idea of the timing. So let’s see if the scriptures provide any other details to help us trend these early contractions.

The Days of Noah:
“But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be” Matthew 24:37.
Well that’s convenient, we didn’t have to go very far on this quest. Did you follow that? From the abomination that makes desolate (signaling the beginning of the end) until Jesus actually appears in heaven on his return (Matthew 24:30) will be within a single generation. THEREFORE, we can know that whatever the days of Noah were like before the flood, should also be taking place at the time just before that last generation. Remember verses 5-14 were trending an increase over time building up to that one generation collection of “end events”, so all we need to do is find out what it was like in the days of Noah and compare it to our present day to discover if the summer of the Abomination of Desolation is imminent or still a few summers/years away.
“And all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years: and he died” Genesis 9:29.
Well that’s kind of a long time. Can we narrow it down any?
“And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years” Genesis 9:28.
OK, This means that the days of Noah before the flood were 600 years. This is the period we need to examine for comparison.
Now 600 years sounds like a long time considering America has only officially been a nation for 236 years, but in the scope of world history and the significance of the actual last generation before Jesus returns, it’s not really that long. Don’t miss the suggestive concept that whatever transpired in those 600 years of Noah’s lifespan before the flood will necessarily transpire in the much-shortened single lifespan today. Consider too that we know by the progressive trend of things listed in Matthew 24:5-14 that a similar increasing trending must have followed Noah until the actual day of the flood, so if we can find any details at or before the flood we should be able to trend backwards until we find a similarity to our present day and therefore come close to where we are on the timeline toward the last generation. This is why I am directly connecting the Last Days events of Matthew 24 with the flood of Noah, and it wasn’t my idea; Jesus came up with it.

Of course right off the bat Jesus jumpstarted our research by providing the concept that life was going on as usual:
“For in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and (they) knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be” Matthew 24:38-39.
This is important to know because as we investigate the events of The End as described in Matthew 24:15-31 we see there is nothing “business as usual” there. The only way we can successfully integrate the above concept into Matthew 24 is to identify v.15 as the day the door was shut on the ark; The end had come. Everything after v.15 is represented in the scripturally undescribed details of the flood as we imagine they didn’t just suddenly fall down and drowned on their wet lawn. Things got really, really bad before they finally succumbed to deep water. Therefore I offer the concept that whatever actually occurs in Matthew 24:5-14 is not so dramatic as to disrupt humanity’s successful efforts to continue living normally even in more troubled time than they are used to. And although we faithful will be able to observe the charted increase in these events, the world will not be convinced the end is soon upon us. So don’t spend any time using these evidences to prove to the public that the end is near, you will just look like a religious whacko fool with a cardboard sign on the street corner.
But what does it mean for us?
Just because she periodically screams with contractions does not mean the baby is coming yet. Slow down, gather your wits and quietly chart the event as more informative data. And for heaven’s sake don’t run around the neighborhood handing out cigars in your premature enthusiasm of what you know is coming.
Ok, Is there anything else we can learn from the Days of Noah?
Oh yes there is, and boy is it interesting!

And what good will the arrival of summer do us then?
