Just Waiting

Post 135

Most Christian readers will agree my posts are "right-on" and the information is accurate...
But they also disagree regarding the sealed doom of America I suggest.
Everyone wants to hope, and find it actually offensive that I would suggest otherwise.

But hope in what?

I have thought hard about this and realize I don’t need to continue preaching the cause of the doom, or even the surety of the doom.
In your heart you are already convinced I am right. You can see it for yourself.

What I am attempting to do now is explain; “what can I do?”
It seems people can see the problem exists, but without a plan of action, what is the point of the knowledge?
Lacking a plan, people turn to empty hope in hope itself.

* * *

I describe this hopless hope as a TV Mentality.
Americans sit in front of that box and while comfortable in their lazy boy, eating popcorn and drinking soda, they watch all forms of the most indescribable horrors.
But other than a safe, emotional connection with the events, they feel no consequence, nor any compunction to ACT. In this setting they are simply observers who have no part in the events they witness. Virtually their only response to what they see is to hope.
This worthless hope is a pitiful reaction but the only real interaction available.
This is why they can eat cold chicken while watching an autopsy on their favorite CSI, or a gory murder in SAW.

There is no connection.

* * *

This is the same mentality that caused the Jews under siege in Jerusalem of 70 AD to throw parties in the homes of those fortunate enough to have homes on the wall.
The view was great as the Roman legions set up camp.
And so they sat in their lazy boys eating popcorn and drinking soda watching their own deaths.
Those same people not long after were literally eating their own children as they died of starvation. *1
Surely they saw the inevitable, so why did they act like this?

Because they simply saw any action taken on their own part as futile.
What can one man do against the Roman Legions?
and worse than that, according to the real eye witness historian Josephus, the Jewish power inside the walls actually created far more harm than the Romans.

Fire Wood:
I am now out collecting firewood for the winter that is actually coming a bit late.
Why am I doing this?
Do I think that if I store up enough firewood I can keep winter from coming?
Of course not.
Winter is assured.
But if I really hope winter does not come, the only possible result would be a lack of firewood gathered when it comes.

My eye is very earnestly on the arrival of winter.
Not from dread, or from fearful anticipation.
Not even from trying to keep it at bay.
My eye is on winter because it motivates me to prepare for winter.
It encourages me to make a determined ACT to stop with the frivolous summer fun and bring in wood.

So while my neighbors hope winter does not come,
I am accused of being a “gloom-and-doomer” while I collect wood.
They are afraid but hopeful.
I am preparing.

They know winter is coming, but, Hey look! CSI is on!

* * *

The purpose of my blog at this point is to aid you in your preparation.
It is really very hard to see the spiritual reality if you have not been exercising your spirit.
Glenn Beck has been telling you how to prepare physically;
Store food, buy gold, get off the grid, collect fire wood, etc.

I am trying to show you how to prepare spiritually;
Draw close to God.
Cast off your sins.
Grow your spirit.
Fill your mind and heart with scripture.

If you cannot actually see the physical signs that America is going down like the Titanic, How can you ever see the spiritual signs of the national punishment from the creator?

I’m thinking you have some serious preparation in both realms to be making!
You aint got time for CSI anymore.

If you are a believer, and are sitting around in confidence waiting for the rapture, I have bad news for you too.
The rapture is to remove believers from experiencing God's wrath on the un-recoverable wickedness of mankind.
Not to avoid God's punishment for bad conduct.
America is in the boat that she is, because Christians have failed our job to fight against wickedness as it encroaches on our land.
The punishment of America lies at our feet, and the rapture will not spare us from the consequences.

“As nations cannot be rewarded or punished in the next world, so they must be in this. By an inevitable chain of causes and effects, Providence punishes national sins by national calamities.” - George Mason: father of the Bill of Rights.
Speech on the floor of the Constitutional Convention

“I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that his justice cannot sleep forever.” - Thomas Jefferson America’s 3rd President (1801-09). Author of the Declaration of Independence.

Just waiting around to watch it happen is further sin.

*1 The Wars of the Jews - Book 5 Chapter 10, Chapter 12.3, Book 6 Chapter 3.3-4
This history is important reading to understand the lengths to which evil men in power will destroy even themselves for no sane reason or purpose,
As well as to understand the extent of genuine miseries that fall upon those whom God rejects.

Spreading the Wealth

post 134

We are now all familiar with America’s current administration’s communist agenda to “Spread The Wealth” around.

But what does God think of the idea?

“Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt build an house, and thou shalt not dwell therein: thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not gather the grapes thereof.
Thine ox shall be slain before thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof: thine ass shall be violently taken away from before thy face, and shall not be restored to thee: thy sheep shall be given unto thine enemies, and thou shalt have none to rescue them.
Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people, and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long: and there shall be no might in thine hand.
The fruit of thy land, and all thy labors, shall a nation which thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed always:
So that thou shalt be mad for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.”

Deuteronomy 28:31-34

According to our governing authority this is a good thing!
According to the God, which we have rejected, this is a curse.

~But a curse for what?~

“But if it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:…”
Deuteronomy 28:15

~awe, that’s a bunch of religious mumbo jumbo~

Perhaps,
So lets have a look at some history of real events to see if this mumbo jumbo works out the way it says it will:

“And so it was, when Israel had sown, that the Midianites came up, and the Amalekites, and the children of the east, even they came up against them;
And they encamped against them, and destroyed the increase of the earth, till thou come unto Gaza, and left no sustenance for Israel, neither sheep, nor ox, nor ass.
For they came up with their cattle and their tents, and they came as grasshoppers for multitude; for both they and their camels were without number: and they entered into the land to destroy it.
And Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites: and the children of Israel cried unto the LORD.”

Judges 6:3-6

So what was God’s response?

“And it came to pass, when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD because of the Midianites, That the LORD sent a prophet unto the children of Israel, which said unto them,
Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I brought you up from Egypt, and brought you forth out of the house of bondage; and I delivered you out of the hands of the Egyptians, and out of the hands of all that oppressed you, and drave them out from before you, and gave you their land;
And I said unto you, I am the LORD your God; fear not the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but ye have not obeyed my voice.”

Judges 6:7-10

So while Obama and Van Jones*1 cry; “Give them the wealth! Give them the wealth!”

God has arranged the circumstances to fulfill his promised curse through them and others because we have forgotten Him.
We go through the motions of being Christian, perhaps even convincing ourselves, but our present circumstances indicate that the national results of our pretend faith, revealed in my last post, are coming to pass.

Where do you stand, not nationally but personally, in your relationship with your Creator?

Give them the Wealth! Give them the wealth!
“By Don White
The headline to this story is from Van Jones, who works undercover for President Obama.
This self-proclaimed Robin Hood was referring to the American Indians when he made that statement. He said “our native American brothers and sisters” were “pushed, bullied, mistreated, and shoved into all the land that we didn’t want. Guess what? Give them the wealth, give them the wealth! No justice on stolen land…we owe them a debt.”
Jones once worked in the People’s House. But because of the bad publicity of having a communist in the White House, President Obama asked him to “retire.” What Obama did in all his “transparent honesty” was move Jones from his White House basement office to less visible digs across the street, while retaining him to work on Obama’s 2,000-page give-away schemes called stimulus bills, a subject in which Jones excels.
They would never just toss this man aside. He is too valuable. Valerie Jarrett, Obama’s special advisor, said they had been looking at Van Jones for a long time, since his San Francisco days. Underground, Jones is one of Obama’s best idea men. He’s one of those 200 Obama attorneys who write super-long bills. He went to journalism school and has a law degree.
The White House has six levels, including two basement stories.
Jones worked in one of the basement offices. His exact assignment was the newly-created position on the White House Council on Environmental Quality, where he worked with various "agencies and departments to advance the administration’s climate and energy initiatives.
It is no coincidence that Van Jones emerged to the forefront of an administration immersed in a communist or Robin-Hood philosophy of taking from the rich and giving to the poor."

Soul’s Delight

Line By Line - Hebrews 10
post 133

I was on a whole different track this morning when the LORD guided me resistively onto this course of study. I never did get to finish what I was intending!

“…But to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.” Isaiah 66:2b

contrite 5223 nakeh; smitten, i.e. (literally) maimed, or (figuratively) dejected.
Trembleth 2730 chared; from 2729; fearful; also reverential:- afraid, trembling.
2729 charad; a prime root; to shudder with terror; hence to fear; also to hasten (with anxiety):- be (make) afraid, be careful, discomfit, fray (away), quake, tremble.

The secret to this man is a maimed spirit?
Someone who actually shudders with fear at God’s word?

~are you serious?~

It seems so. But we simply cannot reconcile this with the God we Americans have come to love. So lets follow this passage to see the guy who’s spirit is not maimed, the guy who does not shudder in fear at God’s word;

“He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dogs neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine’s blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul *1 delighteth in their abominations,…” Isaiah 66:3

We see in this passage that they are doing the actions that are required;
They are supposed to kill an ox for a peace offering. - Exodus 24:5, Leviticus 17:3-4
They are supposed to sacrifice a lamb. - Exodus 29:38-42 Leviticus 3:7
They are supposed to offer and oblation. - Leviticus 2:4, 3:1, 22:18-19
They are supposed to burn incense before God. - Leviticus 16:13, 16:6-7

But for some reason God appears not to take their actions favorably.
But at least he tells us why;
Because they have chosen their own ways, and their soul (who they are, their emotions, their deep longings of their heart,) delight in their abominations.

Since we know the required actions listed are not abominations, we must ask; What are their abominations they delight in which makes God reject their offerings? In fact offends God by their offerings, which he required?

Aren’t offerings supposed to be for the forgiveness of sins?
So why would God take their offerings of requested forgiveness as yet more offense?
The next verse explains;

“…because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear; but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.” Isaiah 66:4b

It seems very clear that God does not take pleasure in us choosing to do that which we know he does not like, then afterwards coming to him asking forgiveness.
In fact, not only will he reject this request for forgiveness, but he also does some choosing of his own;

“I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them;...” Isaiah 66:4a

Wow, at this point God himself will send them tailored delusions. And bring about the events which they fear.
These are not the actions of a God intending to save this person!
This person had all the chances they are going to get.
Now where is your verse indicating there is always hope until you die?!

~Ya, but this verse was written about the Jews, we live under grace now!~

Really?

“And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: that they might be damned who believe not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” II Thessalonians 2:11 (New Testament)
“Because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.” II Thessalonians 2:10

~That’s not me. I don’t reject the truth, I don’t take pleasure in unrighteousness.~

Really?

Young Christian, tell me what fills your ipod; music from the children of hell, or music, sermons and podcasts from Gods children?
Young Christian woman, what does your heart delight in; Going to the local rave on Friday night, or listening to a sermon that reaches your soul and makes your heart expand in joy?
Young Christian man, what does your heart delight in; Going to a football game or a monster truck rally out of state, or hearing from God himself as you study his word?
Christian child, what does your heart delight in; The Veggie Tales or Harry Potter and Aladin?
Older Christian, what does your heart delight in;… does anything come to mind anymore? How about eating a very good dinner, or feasting in his word?
(Now instead of understanding I am making general representations of everyone’s personal sins, don’t begin arguing that these are not sins, or you don’t do these specific sins. Apply your own public or secret delights here. Do your ungodly delights take the place of delighting in God?)

“For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.” Hebrews 10:26 *2

~But I am not an adversary! I am a Christian saved by grace alone!~

Keep reading the passage;

“Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of Grace?" Hebrews 10:29

By your casual and thoughtless constant interaction with the sins that delight your soul, you then regularly come back to the cross where our Savior was killed for you, to expect your weekly dose of blood covering like collecting your welfare check?
Are you serious?!

But this passage is not done;

“For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.” Hebrews 10:30
Say what?!
~I always thought that verse was talking about God taking vengeance on the wicked in behalf of the Believers, Not taking vengeance ON the believers!~

But are you even a believer if you fall into this blasphemy of sacrificial blood trampling?
Read on;

“It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.” Hebrews 10:31

“Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.” Hebrews 10:38

How much more clear can God be?
Grace does not cover this conduct.

Period.

So now that we have a new perspective on just who is being addressed in this passage, it has a whole new terrifying meaning and application. I urge you to read the whole passage with yourself in mind.
And if you find yourself actually trembling suddenly in fear of the implications, if your spirit is really seriously wounded by the truth in this passage;
you may just become one of those in the first verse at the top of the page!

The Dirty Grace we have adopted here in America is not even the Christian faith, but a poison of the Devil to keep us from life. *3

“But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.” Hebrews 10:39

Only those who seriously and fearfully choose real faith over a false faith that allows those things which are contrary to God, can call themselves Christians.

Be one!

* * * * * * *

*1 Soul 5315 nephesh, from 5314; properly a breathing creature, i.e. animal or (abstract) vitality; used very widely in a literal accommodated or figurative sense (bodily or mental).

*2 anyone who has spent time around an old folks home knows of the two basic kinds of old people; the kind and pleasant, and the angry and fearful.
What is a greater shock is to see an old saint become an angry and fearful old person.
What happened? I submit this verse has the answer. In stead of facing and dealing with the besetting sin all their life, they chose to cover it up by the acts of a saint.
They spent their life fooling all but those closest to them, and now in their final days their spirit knows the end results will not be in their favor.
Yet well meaning Christians, in false love, sooth their fears, and affirm their Christianity, allowing them to push off the fear that is gripping them in their last few days.
When what they need is to come face to face with the cause of the fear so they can make it right with the Savior before they pass on.
Yet this passage suggests it actually may be too late for this repenting of some, depending on what they knew of, and how they chose to live, their salvation!
It truly is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Modesty

Post 132

Where do we get our values?
Christians will tell you they get their values from God, through the Bible.
But ask any Christian to identify their firmly held values such as; Abstinence before marriage, or don’t steel stuff, or don’t show your junk to strangers, and both you and them might be really surprised that they don’t actually know.
“That’s just the way it is.”
In a nation that universally accepted these cultural values, there was no reason to question the actual source. But today we have ignored the source for so long that even Christians have now forgotten just what was the rule on that anyway?

My last post asked the question. Why don’t we want to be seen naked in public?
Is this just a cultural thing with really no good reason beyond keeping goose bumps down to a minimum?

lets have a look at our source document.

Genesis 2:25 “And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.”

Now why would God want to tell us this bit of unimportant information?
Is he just embellishing the story so the publisher wont complain about the low number of words? No. God was telling us something important.

Genesis 2:16-17 "And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it..."

Genesis 3:6 “And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food… and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.”

It is interesting to note this forbidden tree “of the knowledge of good and evil” was desirable in part because it would make her wise, but also in part because it was just plane good food.
So are we to understand that God wanted mankind to be stupid by keeping them from knowledge?

In 2:15 we see that before they ate of the forbidden fruit that would make them wise, Adam's job was to dress and keep the garden God called Eden.
In 2:19-20 we see another of Adam's jobs was to name the animals.
In science and biology we learn that the names given to the animals has incredible intelligence, insight and wisdom.
So just what wisdom would the tree give them that they did not already have?

By the name of the forbidden tree we know the specific wisdom was the knowledge of good and evil.
So what one example did God give to show they gained this knowledge once eating the fruit?

Genesis 3:7 “And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.”

Naked. How evil is that?
Being naked before was not evil. Do the animals know they are naked? No. Is it evil that they are naked? No.
So did nakedness become evil once they became aware they were naked? Perhaps.
But the verse does not say their nakedness was evil.
It says they became aware with knowledge that they were naked. And because of this awareness they made coverings.
lets continue;

Genesis 3:9-11 “And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?
And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?”

There is a lot in these few verses, I won’t belabor the fact that God knew where Adam was, and that he had eaten from the tree, but to say this questioning conversation was for Adam's sake, much as a parent does with his young child.
But what we see here clearly is that it was indeed the gaining of knowledge from the forbidden tree that revealed to Adam that he was naked.
We also see that there was suddenly an awareness of shame in this nakedness.

God asked, Who told you?
Not that he didn't know, but for us to understand, nobody told him. He just knew it now because of this new knowledge of good and evil.

Who else was in the garden?
God, Adam, His wife, and the Serpent as well as the other animals. Hardly an airport full of people.
So we can reason that the shame of being naked was not a locality issue. It was not a public or private issue.
The awareness of being naked was shameful in itself. And no one had to tell them this. It was now in their natural knowledge. Modesty it seems is an instinct from the knowledge of good and evil.

Now of course there is far more to the knowledge of good and evil, but God chose to reveal this truth through this one topic of nakedness. Perhaps because it is so base, so foundational.

When a man and a woman wish in their privacy to give themselves to each other, there is still a very vulnerable act of exposure that coveys far more than a few words on a page can express. This is because of the knowledge of good and evil, not because the exposure is evil. Adam didn’t even want God to see him naked!
We use the word shame to describe this feeling of exposure.

Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary 1948
Shame: 1.A. Painful emotion excited by a consciousness of guilt, shortcoming, or impropriety. B. Susceptibility to such feelings of emotion. 2. Disgrace; dishonor. 3. That which brings discredit or reproach; as, it’s a shame. - v.t. 1. To make ashamed; to excite in (a person) a consciousness of guilt. 2. To cover with reproach or ignominy; to put to shame; to disgrace. 3. To bring or drive (a person) by shame.

Adam used the word, Afraid 3372 yare, a prime root; to fear; morally to revere; causatiously to frighten.
Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary 1948
Revere: To regard with reverence; to venerate.
Reverence: 1. Honor or respect felt or manifested; deference. 2. Profound respect mingled with love and awe. 3. A gesture of respect, as an obeisance or curtsy. 4. The state of being revered; dignity; exalted position….

The reason we do not wish for strangers to see us naked is because it is in our very nature to know that it is wrong. It breaches the reverence of our Created being in the image of God.

Our founders understood this to extend far beyond our mere bodies, and included this reverence to encompass far more;
It is a human right to possess in security our privacy. Forced exposure is to steel from us our God given human sovereignty.

Article IV of the Bill Of Rights.
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

This Amendment to the United States Constitution guarantees to us the protection of our human dignity.

You want to stop terrorism? Find a different way.

* * * * * * *

It is interesting to note that even the tiniest bikini on the beach provides enough modesty for the wearer to have the pleasure of showing off her beauty while still feeling covered. But she had alot of self consciousness (shame) to overcome the first time she sported such a garment in public.
The Tribal people of remote locations in Africa have no one to instruct them, but even the barest of them adorn themselves with symbols of modesty.
Just what is modest may perhaps be a question for debate, but modesty and shame are none the less seated in our very nature and must be un-naturally driven out by effort and practice before people feel free to be naked in public without shame.

If the knowledge of good and evil is what tells us public nakedness is not good, then to become comfortable with showing your nakedness to strangers is to loose the ability to know what is good and what is evil.
Upon this loss of knowledge is the destruction of a civilized society.

Choices part II

post 131

So now that we are all thoroughly worked up over the Airport screening process
I have to ask the question;
Why?

No really.
Why is it that we don’t want the world to see us naked? Why don’t we want strangers touching us in certain places?
After all, most young women love to wear the tiniest bikinis at the public beach, and most men are very pleased they do.
Many tribes in hot climates run around every day virtually naked… And that without TSA telling them to!
So honestly, when it comes to national safety why not?

I submit the answer given by us, is the reason why so many are willing to endure what they really don’t like.
The scary part is that even most God fearing, honorable men and women have no idea why not.

National safety is a very real, very present concern in the minds of most Americans.
Why they don’t want to be seen naked is nothing more than a personal preference.
So of course they should be willing to give up a personal preference for national safety. Anybody unwilling to is simply self-centered.

Makes perfect sense.
There should not even be a discussion on this issue. Just step into the Shower Booth for your Porn Photos please, and don’t make a fuss.

As we think about it seriously, I believe most American Christians will discover that nearly all their values are really just personal preferences with no foundation.

For those still not convinced, I want you to stop reading here, think about it for bit, and actually write down your reason for not wanting to be seen naked.
Go ahead I will wait.

Go ahead.

* * *

I am convinced that you will find nearly every answer is either founded in personal preference, or so generically religious that it has no merit beyond a weak excuse.
For those of you quoting the 4th Amendment, that is not a reason, it is a protection.

So now where do we stand in our argument against this forced intrusion into our modesty? Apparently we stand on very weak ground. our real Christian values are... do I say it?... Exposed.
So why then was the 4th Amendment even written?

* * *

ARTICLE IV
“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”
- The Bill of Rights as provided in the First Ten Amendments to the Constitution of the United States effective December 15, 1791

So why was this written?
The answer is found in the preamble of the same document;

PREAMBLE
“The conventions of a number of the States having at the time of their adopting the Constitution, expressed a desire, in order to prevent misconstruction or abuse of its powers, that further declaratory and restrictive clauses should be added: And as extending the ground of public confidence in the Government, will best insure the beneficient ends of its institution.”

Clearly the whole purpose of the Amendments was to keep the government from abusing or using in error the power the constitution had given it.

So the 4th Amendment seen in this light, is a very clear instruction of what the government cannot misuse their power to do. Obviously the writers and the States felt the government had the nature and desire of eventually wanting to do this.
This was not to be allowed.

But those who would corrupt the actual intent and clear meaning will say, The TSA screening is not unreasonable. Yet the provided evidence is nothing more than an opinion; “To avoid terrorism” all persons must be proven to be lacking harmful items. Such a search is therefore reasonable.
Of course this flies in the face of "Innocent until Proven guilty", a foundational concept provided in our right to a jury trial. But "To avoid terrorism, we all must sacrifice our rights." Therefore it is ok if we are all now guilty until proven innocent.
Just a minor insignificant change.

This is an empty excuse, as the amendment goes on to detail said protection by requiring a warrant with probable cause.
They say terrorism is the cause, and apparently the warrant is metaphorically and generically nailed to the front door of every Airport.
But I am not a terrorist, nor am I probably a terrorist. and just because I want to board an Airplane does not place me in the probably a terrorist category.

In that warrant of probable cause is to be identified not only the items sought, but the location to search. Ok so they are looking for guns knives and bombs under your cloths.
See? It all fits within the law.
Yah, I don't think so.

Remember the purpose of the Amendments? To keep the government from misconstruction or abuse of the Constitution.
So what power does the constitution grant to the government that would require such an amendment? Clearly the intent of the screening is said to be national security.

“The Congress shall have Power to…provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States…”
Article 1 section 8
“..To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other powers vested by this Constitution…”
Article 1 section 8

That’s it!
That is all the power government has regarding this screening process.
So the government is granted the power to implement screening for the common defense of the United States.*1
But in implementing that power they cannot construe this power to include the specific restrictions of the 4th Amendment, which was written to protect against just such an abuse.

Therefore the screening process is a misconstruction and abuse of the power granted the government for the common defense as clearly identified by the 4th Amendment.

* * *
Ok so we have our protection guaranteed to us. But only if we want it.
So again I have to ask, Why do we want the protection not to be seen naked?

The answer is more than a moral issue.
But lets start there;

Apparently Christians are supposed to have the authoritative understanding of morals, so what is the answer?

Does anybody know?... Anybody?

If not, why do we get all mad at the government for implementing such a non-issue policy of a visual strip search?
They are simply using logic.

So are we beginning to see the simple breakdown of our society?
There doesn’t need to be some secret intent to break down our moral values to make this act of government reasonable because Christians have no idea where they get there morals from any different than non-Christians.
“My mother taught me not to show my junk to strangers” is really not a good argument.

So I have worked this long enough to give you time to think.
Have you come up with anything solid yet?
No?
So maybe the stripper at the men’s club is really doing nothing wrong.
And maybe there is nothing wrong with your husband hanging out down there.
Maybe your husband spending time in internet porn is really nothing to complain about.
and maybe the "naked parties" at co-ed colleges is really all just good clean fun.
Perhaps public nakedness is really nothing more than a social taboo that we created out of thin air, and therefore harmlessly adopted for national safety.

Maybe.

* * *

But if,
just if, we actually do have a Creator, that has created us with a set of healthy morals which we are accountable to follow, then the violation of those morals would have some, perhaps unknown, consequence.

Aren’t Christians supposed to know this stuff?
Aren’t Christians supposed to be the moral compass of the nation?
So if Christians don’t know this stuff, why should the government?

Are we beginning to see how the fall of America is laid at the feet of the Christians?
Godless America is now rightfully challenging our values.
What is our answer?
I don’t know let me check with Lady Gaga?

* * *

Oops, Im out of time!
Join me on my next post to discover the answer!
in the meantime, think about it yourself.

*1 The empty excuse for this unwarrented search and seizure at the airports is for the declared reason of our Common Defense, even though they said openly they have no intention of stopping invasion at our boarders. and the Feds have actually filed lawsuits against Arizona for assuming that role upon themselves.
ARTICLE IV Section 4
"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion;..." - U.S. Constitution.
So is our present government really concerned about national Defense?

Choices

Post 130

The Body Scan, or the Pat-down?
Those are your choices.
But Jannet Naploitano is so kind to offer you a third choice,
Don’t fly.

Personal Rights, or National Safety?
Oh it is so hard to make such choices!

Early in my childhood my father complained against the public school system that turned from teaching the children HOW to think, and instead began teaching them WHAT to think.
That is a concept that struck deep within me.

When someone, anyone, offers you to chose one of two choices that will affect your life, the immediate thought should be, Who is limiting my choices to these? And, What is the rational behind these being my only options?
Perhaps they are your only choices, but it is my God given right to determine that myself.
This determination is the essence of freedom.

Where is the freedom in the choice of reply to the question, “Gas Chamber, or Decapitation?”
This is a mirage. A placating of your emotions allowing you to cling to some pretense of dignity and control by giving you a temporary choice.

Naked photographs, or a thorough groping?

* * *

This did not come out of nowhere.
This is not a simplistic response to terrorism as they tell us.
This is simply one car in the long train of events taking us to the prison camps of Siberia.

Glenn Beck has been doing a fantastic job of showing us these many facts.
The Road to Serfdom
The Coming Insurrection
Rules for Radicals
George Soros
Etc. etc. etc.

This is planned, So your willingness to go along is greatly troubling.
Is it because you are overwhelmed like a deer in headlights?
Just a note: THE DEER STILL DIES!

Our destiny is our own. If we allow ourselves to be boiled as the frog, unwilling to jump out of the pot, our death is our own choice!
Do you imagine the frog thinks, "I shouldn't have to worry about someone boiling my water!"

* * *

Bigger Picture:
All of life is choices, but only the independent thinking mind has the ability to come up with yet better options than those offered to us by others. This is the heart and soul of the industrial revolution.
A people free to think, free to create, a people free.
If this was really about national safety, free people would be allowed to come up with a better way, less intrusive, and actually successful.

There are still far more freedom loving Americans than liberal minded Communists.
So why are we facing the fast evaporation of the last of our freedoms and dignity?

Remember I said it would not matter which party won the elections this year?
America's problems are now far greater than Republican or Democrat.
Our governments is now out of our control, and willfully doing as it pleases.
It simply does not care which party pretends to be dominate.
But the foundational documents are still in effect. The right is ours to say, NOT ON YOUR LIFE! yet the consequences show those documents are now meaningless.

This bold stand won’t work out well now unless done in mass, because the police state is already in power. We have already missed the turn in the Highway. We are traveling down the wrong road, and we have been for some time now. *1

We have a heck of a lot of backtracking to do while the liberals scream loudly that we just want to go backwards.
At least they get our point.
But backwards to what? *2

We have to go back as far as necessary until we find the point where we departed from the right road.
But there actually comes a point in which going back is virtually impossible.

* * *

Choices:
What are the choices AFTER your unwed teenager discovers she is pregnant?
Suddenly the easy choices she had previously are no longer available, and now the only options are regarding a whole new set of more complex issues.

One choice leads to new choices within a set of limitations created by that choice. *3

Our enemy attacks our Nation,
We choose NOT to profile those related to that enemy.
New options:
Profile everyone, or profile no-one?
Ok Profile everyone,
New options:
Nude photographs, or thorough groping?

After each choice comes new options, but they are always limited to the previously selected category.

What happens when TSA gets busy and there are no more female agents to grope your wife?
New options:
Naked shower photographs or JimBob the Groper?

Oops, the Shower Photograph Booth just went down.
New options:
JimBob the Groper or don’t fly?

Just kidding, the Shower Photos are still available.

And you and your wife, to avoid JimBob's hands, will actually be glad to have JimBob's brother sit in the back room with his buddies and enjoy nude photos of your wife in the Shower Booth, knowing full well those photos will remain on file regardless what they tell you.
The better looking your wife, the more likely she will end up on some mans computer wall as a PlayBoy centerfold, and of course shared with all his friends.
Just job perks.

So why is it still unlawful for the landlord to have hidden cameras in the shower of his rental for college girls?
The only difference is running water,
and a voice from the speaker saying; "Excuse me miss, this is TSA, would you mind slowly turning around so we can see all of your glory from every angle? thank you."

I promise this is just the beginning, because you have stopped thinking, and like the monkey, you will learn how to obediently push the button that serves a snack to avoid getting shocked by the only other button. And while you really despise the snack, they clap gleefully that you picked the right button.

The Groping option is not for your convenience but to help you want to choose the Shower Booth Photos.
Soon the Nude Photos will become more desirable than the shame and inconvenience of public groping, and we will all give up trying to protect our dignity and step into the shower Booth.
Think back 28 years to 1982.
If you saw a sifi movie like "Blade Runner" and saw a scene where government officers organized a system where they lined up obedient citizens to have full body nude photos taken in booths on the sidewalk for national reasons, would you think that was "too far out there" to believe really plausible, yet a creative idea of the future, like the movie's "Replicants"? *4

Then there are us self righteous few, who look down on the button pushers.
We feel we can avoid the problem by refusing to fly because we will not submit to such breaches in our human rights.

Then what do you know?!
New Shower Booths will soon materialize in all federal buildings.
Now what happened to the "Don't Fly" option?
Then all public buildings...
The net grows smaller and smaller.

During the Holocaust, whole railcars of women at a time were stripped naked, and obediently marched into the
“showers” where they were gassed to death before being stuffed into ovens. *5

This is why I rebelled back when TSA made me take off my shoes and undo my belt buckle so they could play with my zipper when trying to board an airplane only 2 years ago.
But like you, I learned to put up with it.

The Choices we are given are no choices at all.
We should not be anywhere near here!

These are all signs that you are not on the road to Anchorage. *1
In fact you’re not even in Kansas anymore! *6

* * *

Perfect Storm:
Now if everything in America was looking good, we could shrug this one off as an anomaly that could be straightened out in time.
But this is not a seasonal storm.

The very dark clouds we are watching come our way is not even as insignificant as The Storm Of The Century.
Katrina was a Sunday afternoon bath in comparison.

There are far too many national and global events in play not to provide The Perfect Storm, far worse than the meteorological one, which coined the term. *7

While Glenn Beck is showing you all the many and sizable Temporal elements that make up this storm, I am showing you the Spiritual elements.
The combination makes this one, The Perfect Storm.

All Roads

post 129

There seems to be a growing religious theology here in America that, All roads lead to God.
Never mind that this is not a new idea, and never mind that it makes no logical sense in anything we know of in the physical or scientific world. It is a religious idea that many have accepted and apparently that alone makes it reasonable.
But I am going to show you that most American Christians also believe in this brainless theory! Yet before I do, I am going to show you how utterly stupid an idea this really is.
* * *

Maps:
How many of you in the lower 48 *1 would consider going on a 700 mile road trip without a road map? I venture to guess that even those whom have taken the same trip previously would still not attempt it without a map.
Apparently all roads do not actually lead to the same destination.

I live in Alaska.
I frequently take 700 mile road-trips to various destinations, and have on several occasions made road-trips longer than 2000 miles one way, and never even consider taking a map. (I am not a great man with special memory or devices). Do all roads in Alaska lead to the same destination? No.
So why is it ok for me, but not for you?
It is because in 700 miles from my house there are virtually only three intersections to make a destination choice; The first is to choose between Alaska and Canada at Haines Junction, the second is to choose between Anchorage and Fairbanks out in the middle of nowhere at Tok, and depending on which of those forks you take, the third is to again choose between Anchorage and Fairbanks, either at Delta Junction or the Gulkana Junction. Now of course there are several side roads I could take but to do so would have to be an intentional departure from the highway. So because of the limited option roads, driving in Alaska is very nearly a no-brainer even though all roads do not lead to the same place.

But even with its limited options, is it fool proof to drive it without a map?
Laughingly it is not.

I have coffee at the local 33 Mile Roadhouse Café every morning.
We find it mind-boggling how many people driving the Alcan *2 Highway from down South, miss the turn at Haines Junction and while intending to end up in Anchorage find themselves walking in the door at the Haines café asking; “How much further to Anchorage?”
From Haines there are no roads to Anchorage but to backtrack 150 miles back the way they came. This happens so often, there are now seventeen road signs at Haines Junction encouraging drivers to make sure they like where they are actually going once they leave town!

So why do so many people miss the turn?
Because although the highway goes very straight through Haines Junction, the destination most people want requires a 90 degree turn in the middle of town. The long singular road lulled them to sleep and they forgot to pay attention.
Once they depart Haines Junction on the wrong road, their perception of reality no longer matches true reality and the farther they go the greater the difference becomes.

Like the Alcan traveler, the Jews started off their spiritual road-trip on a very good road. But they missed the 90 degree turn at the Messiah and have no idea how or where they ended up without a temple or sacrifice.
So what do they do? They metaphorically run around downtown Haines nailing up Talmud signs that read, “Welcome to Anchorage”. They simply refuse to admit they got off the right road regardless what the arrived destination looks like; the Jews now value their oral interpretation of the law over the law that simply does not reflect their present reality.
The law says; without blood sacrifice there is no remission of sins *3, but because they no longer have the ability to sacrifice they turn to meaningless interpretation suggesting daily prayer can now somehow do the job.

But do all roads lead to the same place at least spiritually?

Ask Aaron’s two sons; Nadab and Abihu who took their censers, “and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not. And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD. Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the LORD spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come night me, and before all the people I will be glorified” Leviticus 10:1-3.

Apparently not any old smell will work; the specifics DO matter… alot!
* * *
Today the apparent trend of American Christians in all confidence is to look down on the Jews as poor ignorant wretches too slow to figure it out. But I contend the American Christian is in a similar boat with just as many holes.
Christians too, started off their spiritual journey on the right road of Liberty but somewhere along the way they missed a turn and where they are now, has very little likeness of the destination promised;

The divorce rate for Christians is approaching the same as non-Christians.
Far too many of their daughters are unwed mothers and their sons are either on drugs, in jail, or sodomites.
They have a reputation to cheat in business and lie and steal to make ends meet.
They are often angry and frustrated, but there is always a good excuse.
Money is always short, and it seems as if life is just cursed *4,
But they show up faithfully to church on Sunday to sing one-line praise songs, just don’t expect them to stick around if the pastor runs long because they can’t miss the Sunday game on TV.

Now who is running around downtown Haines nailing up “Welcome to Anchorage” signs?
* * *

Am I being all judgmental? No. Only a few years ago I was right there with the rest. I know the mind frame and the impossible struggle. The reason why we end up in such a bad way is the same reason why travelers end up in Haines; Unbelief.
It’s not the error that got us to Haines; it’s the unbelief that we made an error, that allowed us to continue in error to end up in the wrong place!

Who can drive three hours in the wrong direction and not begin to wonder about it? If you think you are driving West but the morning sun is in your eye, do you conclude that the solar system is just different up here in Alaska?
Some drivers do have a funny feeling that something is just not right, but instead of getting out the map they just review their past conduct in their minds and can find no flaw in their route.
And it’s hard to fault them for the error because all the circumstances stacked up against them to almost intentionally deceive them, but it’s only the way of reality; the road was straight and had no options for a long stretch, then right in the uncommon cacophony of a rare town in the middle of nowhere, the highway they were solidly on, took a ninety degree turn though the road continued forward unchanged.
The highway out the other end of town looks just like the one we came in on, we made no turns, and all still seems right with the world since we were careful not to deviate from the road at all… but we are suddenly WRONG.
But seventeen warning signs? How could you miss them all?!
I should not have to overlay the Christ on this for you, should I? Think about it.

Now here is where it gets clear:
100% of every driver who walks into the Haines Roadhouse from Canada expecting to reach Anchorage, has made two errors: Missing the turn and ignoring the signs and nagging feeling of error.

We don’t have to ask them to sit down and explain the details of how it happened. The fact that they are here is proof enough.
“You missed the turn a few hours back”
We are not self-righteous by declaring it so.

Yet it is a strange thing to watch the mental gymnastics as they try to comprehend all the truth of what they just heard; How did it happen? the wasted time, the shame of the mistake, the reaction of the kids in the car, the missed appointments, the extra cost in gas and lodging, etc. etc.
The resulting question;
“Are you sure?”

Some people actually refuse to believe it and slam the door determined to continue driving the next 33 miles… where the road ends at the ocean.
“Yep, I’m sure.”
* * *

Dear Christian, you, like the Jew, have strong faith. You are sure your faith is the right faith. Nothing can derail that faith.
That’s good.
But you must recognize that your present reality does not match what your faith has promised. You have accepted the theology that the various roads you “accidentally” take have no effect on your destination result.
The sooner you wake up to this fact and seek correction, the sooner you can be heading in the right direction.

I am suggesting that in your life you are now actually so far off the right road that you are choosing between an old abandon 4-wheeler path and a game trail in choices like; the movies you watch, or the club you select, or the people you date, or the friends you choose, or the time you waste, or the things you DON’T do, or the compromises you make, etc. etc. How can you not know all those wrong choices are taking you farther from your intended destination?

You have made two errors:
The first in ignorance can easily be forgiven and corrected with very little consequences after repentance (3341; by implication reversal). The second is just plane willful stubbornness in foolish confidence that you cannot be wrong, ignoring sign after sign that says otherwise. That one will cost you heavily if not soon corrected.

If you are trying to get to Grandmas house for Thanksgiving there is one truth that comes clear; All roads but one do lead to the same place; That is “the wrong place”, wherever it turns out to be.
It is only a stoned teenager in a stolen car who drives around with no particular destination in mind, and only someone like him believes such a destinationless driven religion makes as much sense as; “All roads lead to God”.

You need to wake up now.

Take your faith seriously and ask; “Is my God real?”
“Is the Bible really the roadmap to life?”
“If it is, where am I on this roadmap?”

“Where is my bible anyway?”
* * * * * * *

*1 Lower 48:
That’s common Alaska slang for “the other states in the rest of the USA”; all are south of Alaska.

*2 Alcan Highway:
Alcan; standing for Alaska-Canada, is a trans national highway connecting the lower 48 to Alaska running roughly 1400 miles.

*3 Blood Sacrifice Required:

“For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the alter to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul” Leviticus 17:11
(see also Leviticus 16:27-30, Numbers 35:33).

But at the ninety degree turn in the confusion of the Roman conquest, the Messiah became that sacrifice;

“For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins” Matthew 26:26.
With lots of signs to point to that junction:
“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost” Acts 2:38.

“Repent”, and “in the name of Jesus”, are the acceptance of his blood sacrifice, shown in the act of baptism; Acts 10:43, Romans 3:25.

The flashing highway signs are the Passover Lamb of Exodus 12 with every detail, and the brass serpent of Numbers 21:8-9 that has no explanation without the events of Jesus death.

*4 When life seems cursed… it probably is!

“Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations; And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face” Deuteronomy 7:9-10.
“I don’t hate God, I just don’t believe his roadmap is right.” Hmmmm.

“But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth…” Deuteronomy 8:18.
How long are you going to continue trying to prove that wrong?

“And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the LORD thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish. As the nations which the LORD destroyeth before your face, so shall ye perish; because ye would not be obedient unto the voice of the LORD your God” Deuteronomy 8:19-20.

“Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you: And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants” Leviticus 18:24-25.

“Behold, I (Moses) have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it. Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people”
Deuteronomy 4:5-6.

And on and on goes the warnings and the promises.
America now standing in her troubles, is just like the traveler walking into the Roadhouse.
She can argue all it wants about the how and why, but just being here in this condition is all the proof needed to boldly declare; “You missed the right road.”

Your personal life is no different.
Without all the excuses and justifications, have a genuine look at your life and then declare by the observation of your condition in comparison to what your faith has promised: Which side of God are you really on?

Acceptance of responsibility is the first step of recovery... and no matter how many miles you drove down the wrong way, the very second you turn around; YOU’RE SUDDENLY ON THE RIGHT ROAD!

Persecution

post 128

This post is to the Christian.

Why do you suppose the early Church had such boldness in the face of persecution?
Why didn’t they cry out in confusion asking; “What have we done wrong to deserve this?” Where did their confidence come from to know they were in the will of God?
I contend they new far more about the role of the Church in Gods plan than we do today.
I would like to offer one such example:

Mark 6:48-51 “And he saw them toiling in rowing: for the wind was contrary unto them: and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed by them.
But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out:
For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.
And he went up unto them into the ship; and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered.”

Another great Sunday School story that has no real application in the adult Christian life.
Hardly!
First we need to recognize that the 4 gospels are not a redundancy to fill up pages.
Each recorded eyewitness of the same events are given with slightly different purposes.
While Matthew was written by God to the Jews, Mark was written by God to the Gentiles.
So what is different for Gentiles than for Jews?

We find this answer when we back track to the earlier time they were all in the boat.
Mark 4:35 “And the same day, when the even was come, he (Jesus) saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.” (shown also in Matthew 8:23-)
Now I am going to take a small liberty and suggest an idea that perhaps we can use this “pass over unto the other side” to represent death, just as it sounds like.
(It is important to recognize that in both boats, these were close followers of Jesus, while the rest of the people remained behind.)
We continue to read as a bad storm came up that would have destroyed them all, when Jesus, who was with them, performed a miracle and calmed the storm.

But now in the second voyage, Mark 6 passage, Jesus is not with them. They are by themselves when a storm comes up that again threatens to destroy them.

The two historical events are not to tell us they liked boating, but to tell us of a deeper, more important secret of God.
The boatload with God in the midst of them, represents the Jews, God’s people.
And when the storm (evil troubles against the Jews) came upon them, their God delivered them through a miracle.
Note here their response in v.41:
“And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”

* * *
But in the second boatload, they did not have the physical presence of God with them.
This represents the Christian Church.
And when the storm of evil troubles comes against the Church, Jesus is not physically in our midst. It seems as if we are alone!

But Jesus was well aware of their circumstances; “and he saw them toiling in rowing; (doing their part of what he called them to do) for the wind was contrary unto them:…” (the persecution)
“…and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea..."
I don’t yet understand the significance of the specific time, other than to tell us he did not come to them right away but let them toil for a spell.
But interestingly, he comes on the stormy sea.
This tells us that we are to expect to see Jesus in the persecution, not outside of it.
This represents the millions of Christians tormented and killed throughout the Church age, even up to today! Jesus does not save them out of the toil, but comes in the contrary wind unto them, to comfort them in the storm of persecution.

This next part has always caused me to wonder;
“…and would have passed by them.”
The wording of this suggests the intention of passing them if they did not see him there.
Because of the strange wording here, we must look for the clue that is implied.
We can understand that he would have let them continue struggling if they had not seen him in the storm. We can also gather that Jesus does all he can to ready the circumstances; His awareness of our condition, His arrival at just the right time, his ready ear to hear our cry, but he cannot violate our free will and so unless we cry out he must pass us by.

“But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, 5326 and cried 349 out: for they all saw him, and were troubled…”
5326: phantasma, from 5324; a show, i.e. spectre. [from which we get phantom]
349: to scream up.
This one sentence here simply does not seem to fit for a variety of reasons. Primarily that Jesus would allow himself to be seen as a scary ghost!
Just when you think all is lost, there is yet a new compounding element that seems to be yet more doom, but that turns out to be the working of the LORD coming to you.
I am reminded of Cori TenBoom who gave God praise for the lice in her prison camp, because the guards would leave them alone in their quarters, allowing her to read her smuggled bible to the others.
A very common application to this verse is the phrase; “The LORD works in mysterious ways.”
It is important to realize they were not chastised for mistaking Jesus for a ghost. But his appearing is what he used to make them cry out! As soon as they did…

“…And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.”
Yet even at this point the storm did not end. I can only imagine this represents the LORD’s presence seen in the joy and peace witnessed as believers were burned at the stake, or fed to the lions! (Foxes Book of Martyrs) The recognition of God’s presence in our circumstances brings good cheer and fearlessness of the troubles though they persist.

“and he went up unto them into the ship; and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered…”
This shows that even those who experienced the LORD’s presence of Joy and Peace in the midst of the unspeakable persecution, were amazed at it themselves!

What a contrast of reaction from that of the representational Jew’s experience in the first voyage!
(We read the Jew’s rendition of their story in Matthew 8:27 and it is actually comical that their explanation is; “But the men marveled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him!”
The narrative is not actually flawed, just interesting how they don’t make themselves seem so scared!)

“And when they had passed over…”

What an interesting and instructive narrative to the persecuted believer, even unto death.
A stark difference from the American Christian perspective that Jesus will save us from all our troubles!

* * *

So how can I double check my work to make sure I am not misusing this passage?

The curious thing is to now go back into Matthew and see that this same story in the narrative for the Jews is completely missing the Gentile message.
The only thing the Jews get is found in Matthew 9:1 “and he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city.”
This represents the Jews have no idea what Jesus actually is doing in the times of the Gentiles and only see him return to Jerusalem when he plants his feet on the mount of Olives at his second coming.

The scriptures are fascinating how each fabric of every story is woven so meticulously with the fabric of the other stories, to weave the Holy Cloth of scripture from Genesis to Revelation! It is all just one incredible work of Jesus the Christ.

* * *
Real life application:

For many years I quietly contemplated the evidence that All God’s people seem to be hosed whether they rebel against him and are punished, or they are faithful and are persecuted. Either way they get the short end of the temporal stick.

Yet as an American Christian in a generalization, we have never fit into either of these categories, and so I was always confused about this observation.

Here in America we figure if things are going well and good for us, we must be in the will of God, and when things seem to go south for us, we cry out “WHY?”

Remember my post “So What Happens if America falls”?*1 In it I discussed how to pray for the persecuted church, and then turned the thoughts to ask why is it like this. (I recommend a review of that post)

We learned that America was unique in her role here on earth, and received incredible blessing and protection for the purpose of fulfilling her role of spreading the benefits and blessings of the faith around the world.

But what was not discussed is that this blessed protected state is not the natural state of the Christian. To understand this fully is to strike a deep and real appreciation for what was America... and anomaly in history.
It is because the world recognized the unique blessing and benefits, that all the world wanted to immigrate to America! The fact that America has no race, but are a melting pot of all races is a fact that will be hard for history to blot out. Truly, in spite of a soon re-writing of history to show otherwise, America was the most blessed nation the planet has ever seen! What Americans themselves no longer know is, “Why?”

* * *

I am now seeing a very exciting reawakening of God’s people in America, and as they awaken the fire of faith is quickly spreading again.
So shouldn’t we be able to see this as a salvation for America? Doesn’t this mean I am wrong as I declare America’s doom?
Sadly no.
America’s time has come. And now it is too late to save her, in spite of the very true awakening.
How do I know for sure?
If you will remember, the masses of people accepted Jesus as the messiah when he rode the colt into Jerusalem as king. But only a few days later he was hanging on a cross.
What happened?
The religious leaders had the authority in the people’s eyes, and were therefore able to turn the people very easily.
The people had no real foundation, they were simply led as sheep.
And so at the death of the Christ, the suffering of the Jews was established.

Now of course this was all a part of the master plan, and nothing came as a surprise to God, he foretold it. *2
But my point is that due to world events, and the slumber of the American Christian, we have now arrived at this pivotal point in history, where America will join the persecution of the believers.
The current awakening of the faithful is not for the purpose of restoring America, but to strengthen the believers for what is to come.

Take heart dear faithful, the LORD will be with you in the days to come!... though the storms will be great.

Alternative

to Public Air Transportation
post 127

Tired of being groped and photographed in the nude by strangers at the airport?
I am offering my private plane for select customers…

Just a bit of required enhanced pre-screening and were off!
(I don't have all the fancy screening equipment so you will have to disrobe yourself,
I promise I wont post the photos on the internet!)

Due to limited space; only thin, attractive, young women need apply.
I’m sure you’ll understand my "random selection" process.

Additional screening available for first class customers.

Call me!

* * *

If you don't have a problem with this, you are part of the problem.
If you do have a problem with it, do you plan to fly while this TSA Touch-and-Feel and/or unpaid-porn-photo-session program is in effect?

If this government program is OK with you, I ask, Is there anything the Federal government could do nationally that would cause you to say; "NOT ON YOUR LIFE!"?

* * *
So why did this topic make it into my blog?
Because in my post regarding Surveillance*1 I showed the biblical prophecy telling us the lengths to which the government will go. They will have 24/7 audio and video cameras in virtually every room in your home.
Last week this would be thought impossible, but America's willingness to be groped and photographed naked pretty much makes home monitors plenty acceptable.

Only a few year ago many of us complained loudly when they made us take off our shoes and unbuckle our belts.
But we were called extremists and conspiracy freaks.

Today the government wants to molest you, your wife and your children.
but in the name of safety most say; "Sure, go ahead."
The news reports toddlers screaming and kicking as some strange person fondles them in their "private place" as hundreds stand by watching quietly!*2
It is reported in some countries that the full body screening violates their Child Pornography laws!

Am I accusing "everyone" when I shouldn't?
All you have to do is look at the lines still at the airport waiting to be screened to determine that truth.

There should not be a singe ticketed passenger at any commercial airlines in the nation.
The empty airports and passenger-less airplanes would show that Americans refuse to accept this violation.
But the airports are still full of passenger, though they feel they have done their righteous duty by whining about the process while some stranger feels them up.

In the Holocaust the Jews had to first be deposited into concentration camps before being subjected to such violations, but here in America by the thousands we walk away after being groped, or step out of the pornographic screening machines declaring; "We are still free...and safe!"

THIS IS INSANITY!

Sure we may kick up a successful fuss, and they may "back burner" their new screening somewhat for a while, and we will get used to each new step a little bit at a time until they bring it back un-objected.

But because we put up with this in the name of safety, the next logical step in the new enhanced screening will one day soon be Cavity Searches. Yet who really cares after you have accepted public sexual assault?

The Jews were lead quietly to the gas chambers because of civility.
And so will America.

*3 Janet Napolitano - "Homeland security officials on Monday defended heightened airport security screening measures but said they would consider adjustments to new rigorous patdowns after complaints from travelers.

With the busy holiday travel season about to begin, U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano made it clear that new full-body scan checks would become the routine as hundreds of the machines are installed at U.S. airports and that the alternative would be physical patdowns.

“If there are adjustments we need to make to these procedures as we move forward, we have an open ear; we will listen,” she told reporters during a news conference at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport."

*4 "You touch my junk and I'm gonna have you arrested" - "In response to a video of a California man's dispute with airport security officials, the Transportation Security Administration said Monday it tries to be sensitive to individuals, but everyone getting on a flight must be screened.

The video, in which software engineer John Tyner refuses an X-ray scan at the San Diego, California, airport, has sparked a debate over screening procedures.

Tyner told CNN on Sunday that he was surprised to see so many people take an interest in his refusal and the dispute with airport screeners that followed it. But he said he hoped the video will focus attention on what he calls a government invasion of privacy.Obviously, everybody has their own perspective about their personal screening," TSA administrator John Pistole told CNN. "The question is, how do we best address those issues ... while providing the best possible security?"

Tyner, 31, said his hunting trip to South Dakota was cut short before it even started Saturday morning -- when TSA agents asked him to go through an X-ray machine.

"I don't think that the government has any business seeing me naked as a condition of traveling about the country," Tyner said.

Pistole said the agency is "trying to be sensitive to individuals issues and concerns," but added, "the bottom line is, everybody who gets on that flight has been properly screened."

The cell phone video Tyner recorded of his arguments with security screeners over the scan and pat-down they proposed had garnered than 200,000 hits on YouTube by Monday afternoon.

Tyner said that after he declined the body scan, a TSA agent told him he could have a pat-down instead. Once the procedure was described, Tyner said he responded, "If you touch my junk, I'll have you arrested."

The dispute that followed, Tyner said, included police escorting him from the screening area and a supervisor saying he could face a civil lawsuit for leaving the airport before security had finished screening him.

In fact, Tyner could face a civil penalty as high as $11,000, according to Michael Aguilar, the TSA's federal security director in San Diego, who defended the behavior of his officers during the confrontation.

"He's violated federal law and federal regulations, which states once you enter and start the process you have to complete it," he said.

Tyner called the whole incident ridiculous and said he will not fly "until these machines go away."

*5 Israeli Security - Air travelers in the United States are now given two options at the security gate -- be groin-groped by gloved Transportation Security Administration agents, or photographed "naked" in the back-scatter X-ray device that Jeffrey Goldberg at The Atlantic calls "the porn machine."

You can thank failed "underwear bomber" Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab for this one. While armies tragically tend to fight the last war, the TSA looks for the item the most recent terrorist used.

After 9/11, everything sharp -- even tweezers -- was banned. Ever since Richard Reid tried and failed to light his loafers on fire, security agents have forced us to take off our shoes. British authorities rounded up terrorists who planned to bring liquid explosives on board, and we've all been prohibited from carrying shampoo through the gate ever since.

Terrorists have yet to use the same weapon twice, and the TSA isn't even looking for whatever they'll try to use next. I can think of all sorts of things a person could use to wreak havoc on a plane that aren't banned. Security officials should pay less attention to objects, and more attention to people.

The Israelis do. They are, out of dreadful necessity, the world's foremost experts in counterterrorism. And they couldn't care less about what your grandmother brings on a plane. Instead, officials at Ben Gurion International Airport interview everyone in line before they're even allowed to check in.

And Israeli officials profile. They don't profile racially, but they profile. Israeli Arabs breeze through rather quickly, but thanks to the dozens of dubious-looking stamps in my passport -- almost half are from Lebanon and Iraq -- I get pulled off to the side for more questioning every time. And I'm a white, nominally Christian American.

If they pull you aside, you had better tell them the truth. They'll ask you so many wildly unpredictable questions so quickly, you couldn't possibly invent a fake story and keep it all straight. Don't even try. They're highly trained and experienced, and they catch everyone who tries to pull something over on them.

Because I fit one of their profiles, it takes me 15 or 20 minutes longer to get through the first wave of security than it does for most people. The agents make up for it, though, by escorting me to the front of the line at the metal detector. They don't put anyone into a "porn machine." There's no point. Terrorists can't penetrate that deeply into the airport.

The Israeli experience isn't pleasant, exactly, and there's a lot not to like about it. It can be exasperating for those of us who are interrogated more thoroughly.

The system has its advantages, though, aside from the fact that no one looks or reaches into anyone's pants. Israelis don't use security theater to make passengers feel like they're safe. They use real security measures to ensure that travelers actually are safe. Even when suicide bombers exploded themselves almost daily in Israeli cities, not a single one managed to get through that airport."

Where is our Trust?

post 126

As I investigate the causes and results of America’s demise, I use the Creators Handbook For Nations to find clues.
Here is an interesting bit of history that seems to be so applicable to America today:

At the fall of the northern tribe of Israel to Assyria, the Assyrian king asked:

“But if thou say to me, We trust in the LORD our God: is it not he, whose high places and whose alters Hezekiah hath taken away, and said to Judah and to Jerusalem, Ye shall worship before this alter?” (the alter of the calf he set up) - Isaiah 36:7

* * *

This Pagan king came against the nation of God worshipers to conquer them right after their leader officially rejected their God and set up replacements.

And as was the practice in that day the Assyrian king marched his men to encircle the walled city for a long siege. And then once in place, he sent out a negotiator to determine the conditions of surrender. (read Isaiah chapter 36)

So the Jews, protected behind their walls, sent out their Tea Party to declare they had no intention of surrender.

And so the Assyrian responded with the above challenging question paraphrased like this:

“I’m hear to negotiate your surrender, But if you say to me, 'We trust in the LORD our God to win against your wicked siege'
I ask; 'Do you mean the God whom your Supreme Court removed from your places of education, finding it unconstitutional to teach the bible in schools or allow the students to pray, or to even see a copy of the 10 commandments?

Do you mean the God whom your Congress has by law removed from influencing your government by Separation of Church and State?

Do you mean the God whom your historians have erased from your libraries, removing even the many references to Him by your founding fathers?

Do you mean the God whom your people have scrubbed from your holidays, by saying; Merry X-mas, or Happy Holidays, or Turkey day, the God whom you refuse to allow a place on your lawn in recognition of the condition of his birth?

Do you mean the God whom you have seriously offended by replacing him with the worship of Evolution as your Creator in your institutions of Education?

Do you mean the God whom you have seriously offended by replacing his Divine Protection with the worship of Environmentalism, believing you can save yourselves?

Do you mean the God whom you deeply offend every day in many ways because you have no idea what you are doing wrong since you have no time to read his book?

Is this the God you tell me you now trust in to keep you safe from me?”

* * *

The king of Assyria was quite bold in his understanding of the strained relation of Israel and their God. He did not deny the existence of their God, he just knew they had no standing with Him.
How did he know this? It is a question worthy of contemplation.

Then he goes even further, and boldly declares;
“And am I now come up without the LORD against this land to destroy it?
The LORD said unto me, Go up against this land, and destroy it.”
Isaiah 36:10

For years I interpreted this passage to mean the Assyrian king was using subversion of the Jews religion to weaken their resolve.
But now I understand that God actually sent this pagan king to punish His people.
The Jews were no longer worthy to be independent because they were too confused to run their own lives, and so God sent the king of Assyria to run their lives for them.

The Assyrian king sent his negotiator to offer them great help and support if they would commit their allegiance to him;
“Now therefore give pledges, I pray thee, to my master the king of Assyria, and I will give thee two thousand horses, if thou be able on thy part to set riders upon them.” Isaiah 36:8
In the next verse he recognized Israel’s history to turn to Egypt for horses and chariots of war.
What he was doing was offering them the items in which they really trusted.

What is it that America trusts in today?
I submit we no longer trust in our military. In fact I submit as a nation we despise it!
It seems quite evident that America now trusts only in our wealth.
The only thing America has any real interest in at this point is our economy. Here is where we now place our trust.
Therefore I believe that we will soon be offered a solution to our economic troubles by those whom would take our allegiance.

If we refuse there will be war, if we accept we will become servants.

According to my interpretation of Daniel 5 as a prophecy of America’s fall, we will take the offer and become servants.

But remember, we are not Jews. We are not the nation of Gods Chosen People whom he promised he would never destroy.
We are simply a nation subject to the cause and effect of the universal laws of nature.
If we follow God we will be blessed, and if we turn from God we will be destroyed.
When we become servants it will not result in our own good!
