Who Builds Your House?

America’s elections are coming up On November 2.
The “Tea Party” has a significant number of candidates running with the promise to intend restoration of the old ways.
America seems to have a strong “grass roots” movement, which gives us hope that we can indeed turn this destructive tide of Progressivism which has taken our government hostage.
But I am deeply concerned that even the grass roots majority of Americans are still missing the whole point. Let me explain my concern:

Before the Presidential Elections, I was earnestly praying that God would not allow Barack Obama to win the Seat.
God clearly replied; “If I gave you 4 more year of ‘business as usual’ what would you Christians do with the time?”
And my immediate recognition was; “More of the same; Nothing.”
It was then, before the election, that I knew we would get Mr. Obama.

Since then, Americans have been stirred with bit of recognition of where this Administration is actually taking our country, and the bitter flavor of it is being rejected.
And so America is showing signs of a determined effort to reverse the course….
This is a good thing.

But search a little deeper, scratch just under the surface, and you find a disturbing putrid rot.
Flushing the wound might appear to be the intelligent action, but if the wound is gangrenous the honorable action produces nothing but false hope.
Yet crying; “flushing the wound is wrong!” sounds a bit ignorant from a patent while in the hospital.

I have cried; “We need to fast and earnestly pray, repent and seek God’s face to fix this problem, *1 But the answer I get across the board… Christian and none-Christian alike, is the opinion that; “prayer is a nice emotional warm and fuzzy feeling, but experience shows that prayer is nothing more than an empty crutch for people who choose not to act.
Action is what we need here, not prayer.”

When analyzed, this perspective says; “the problem is ours, and the solution is ours.”
And you cannot argue with the logic of this.
After all, how many thousands of years have the Jews been banging their heads against the ruins of their temple mount with no result?
Clearly prayer is a fruitless waste of time.

Yet in my earlier post *2 I have shown the reason why their prayers are ineffective. God himself has said; “I will not hear your prayers” for very specific reasons.
If your parachute is not packed correctly, it will not open. So does that mean parachutes are worthless? Hardly. The answer is to learn to pack it right. And if the material is rotten, you buy a new one. The value of a parachute is never in question. The dependability of the one you have, should be earnestly investigated!

I have shown that the principles which govern Israel also apply to America, and that our present problems are the same results that plagued Israel of biblical history.
But we too refused to listen to God’s advice, and find ourselves in trouble.

So what do we do now?

Experiencing the evidence that God does not hear our prayers, we seem to have no other course than to fix our problems ourselves without him. Seems reasonable.
And it seems we are doing just that, through the upcoming elections, with hopeful expectations.
We might just be able to pull this off…

But then there is that little verse which is only the tip of the biblical iceberg, that keeps popping up all through scripture:

“Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchmen waketh but in vain.” Psalm 127:1

It is scary how this verse seems to speak to our situation today. Our watchmen have awakened. Many of us “watchmen” (like Glenn Beck) have awakened in time, seen the danger coming, and have raised the alarm. And a large number of Americans have heard the call and have earnestly begun to “build the house”. We are doing the honorable and diligent thing. How can this not be blessed? This is “boots on the ground” real action, not week kneed action-less cowards praying for deliverance.

And you think that the Administration which has literally gutted the authority of the U.S. Constitution, refused to protect our borders as the Constitution requires, spent TRILLIONS against our outcry of opposition, and placed us in bondage to Health Care we did not want, ect. You think such a boldly lawless administration will stop at ballot stuffing?
Are you kidding? *4

Is that the only direction destruction might come?
How about national Bankruptcy?
At this point, even an entire congress 100% filled with Tea Party representatives could not fix the problem we have now!

IF the Divine Maker,
IF Natures God,
IF the Supreme Judge of the World,
IF Divine Providence is against you, do you really think all our efforts can overcome His opposition?

Our founders wrote with pen and ink into our very original charters of freedom the correct and successful course; that is the marriage of action and faith:

“We, therefore, the Representatives of the United States of America, in General Congress, Assembled, Appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name and by Authority of the good People of these Colonies, solemnly publish and declare, That these United Colonies are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent States;… And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.”
- The Declaration of Independence January 18, 1777

If they thought it took both action and faith for success, what success can we expect if our action is as equally determined as our faith is today?

These men indeed took action, and put their full efforts into that action, and it was a laborious and expensive action…
But they did not do it without the serious appeal to God for his favor and support.
They went so far as to declare not a reliance on their efforts, or their strength, but on the protection of Divine Providence. They made a solemn appeal to the Supreme Judge of the world to favor their efforts.
These are not the words of cowards, or people who refused to take action.
But having confidence in their right standing with that Supreme Judge, Knowing their endeavor was of the purest cause, They still knew that without the aid, and support, and protection of God himself, their honorable efforts would fail.

So why were they so confident that their appeal to God would be heard, when the daily appeal of the Jews has gone unheard for 2 thousand years?

Because they knew what “Christian” Americans have now forgotten;
That God does not ignore sin.
That we must be in right standing with him before we can expect his protection.

“ And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.” - Isaiah 1:15

“Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up a cry or prayer for them: for I will not hear them in the time that they cry unto me for their trouble.” - Jeremiah 7:16, 11:14

The evidence that we are already making God mad, is that nationally it is already universally accepted by experience, among Christians for crying out loud! that prayers don’t actually work. And still we are confused about it, blaming God for failing his promise to answer prayer! Amazing!

And we mock Jews for their blindness. Go figure.

God is not playing games.
Yet from my observation America has not yet even begun to evaluate the real cause of her problems, choosing instead to blame poor politics.
But our problem is not which party controls Congress.
Our problem is not the Progressives taking over and destroying our foundations.
It is not illegal Mexicans,
or even Al-Qaeda.
These are but symptoms of the problem.
To attempt to cure these, is but flushing the surface of the gangrenous wound.
It is taking Aspirin to cure cancer.
It is missing the whole point.
Voting-in good people to office at this point, is the plowing of the wicked. *3

And America has not yet even thought seriously about praying to God for help.
By the time things get so bad that we actually believe our only help can come from God, he will have already turned away his eyes as well as his ear. Just as he has done to the Jews.

“But if they will not obey, I will utterly pluck up and destroy that nation, saith the LORD.” - Jeremiah 12:17

We can all imagine in our minds the scary scenario of sitting in the doctors office when he comes in with a sober face; “I’m sorry, you have cancer.”

When you walked in, you were feeling a bit off, but your life was fine.
With those few short words, the cold terror rises in your core and your mind cannot comprehend all that it means. But you know enough to realize the true fear of death for the first time.
We can imagine such a thing.
But our imagination, while we know we are actually healthy, cannot even come close to that feeling when it really happens. “Oh God, No!”

America.
You have cancer.
And it is all through your body.
It has been growing a long time.
If you had only come to me years ago when the signs first appeared…


Are you feeling it yet?
Good.
Now do the Nineveh thing; “So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them… But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands. Who can tell if God will turn… away from his fierce anger, that we perish not?” Jonah 3:5-9

In your sudden cold and clammy realization of how bad and hopeless things really are.
Take off your party dress, put off all your pleasures for an indefinite period of time.
Get serious with your Maker and search diligently what are your sins against God that would stop his ears from your cries.
Spend time in his presence alone, even though he appears not to hear you.
And beg him for your life. Not for your sake, but for his mercies sake.
Because America, you sure don’t deserve his forgiveness, or his aid.

No doctor likes to give a bad prognosis.
But the solution can only be achieved when we face reality first.
Frankly, it does not look good.

  1. so, if i understand what you are saying is that all physical actions are in vain until all of America give honest belief and prayer for God's guidance for the betterment of the nation?

  2. The Manhattan Declaration group is sponsoring a 40 Days of Fasting and Prayer and the Presidential Prayer Team is also sponsoring a Pray the Vote and a 40 Hours of Prayer prior to election Day. There have been good strides made, and it doesn't take a majority...However, in the verse, God says we must "seek His face." Yet, it seems mostly we seek His hand...We want to be bailed out...rather than repent. Aunt Lovila
