Not More Of The Same

I realize that I seem to have abandoned the “current-events” troubling America, to speak about really strange ideas of "godhood" and such, seemingly disconnected from us, but there is a reason. I have already shown in my first section of posts the great troubles of America and how the scriptures tend to interpret them, what more needs to be said on that topic? To continue dwelling on the details is like the frog in his pot constantly agitating the others by pointing at the thermometer and screaming; “look! It just went up another degree! I swear, a whole degree!” Yet my email inbox is literally overflowing with well meaning Christians sending me “more evidence” of what I have already declared. We don’t need more evidence, and agreeing with the evidence does not make you any safer.
What have you done to get out of the pot?
Or are you hanging around like a reporter because you don’t want to miss any details as it happens?
You want details? Glenn Beck is still providing detail after detail day after day as they occur, and I don’t fault him at all, people still need to know… but knowing is not actually the purpose of being told; acting on the knowledge is the purpose. So again I ask you;
What have you done to get out of the pot? (Matthew 3:7-8)

People, Stocking up on guns and ammo and food is not getting out of the pot. Storing gas and seeds and gold will not help you anymore than it helped the Jews avoid the ovens (Zephaniah 1:18, Jeremiah 4:16-30 [specifically 30]. Don’t you get it yet? This is not a war about our human comforts; it is a judgment for our sins. And if you think you are one of those who have no sins worthy of this kind of judgment then you haven’t really been reading my posts or the word of God.

I am torn between the need to move on, and feeling the need to continue pointing out this truth. But in all reality, to continue that line is no different than Glenn Beck continuing to point out how really, really bad things really are politically. If the last three years of his program has not moved you to actually act, then what will another three years do for you? Likewise, I don’t believe I need to continue haranguing on the same topic that America has fallen because of its wickedness. I have moved on…with occasional dashes back to remind you.
And here is the quandary in continuing my work in the form of a blog; What I have to say at this point in the big story is not for today’s generation anymore than the promise of returning to the Promised Land was for the Jews led like cattle into the ovens. Yet the information still needs to be presented for the hope of that future day of deliverance.
We are the generation that begins the sorrowful events just as Typed in the prophecy of II Samuel 7:14 that came after the forefathers Typed in verses 10-13. But how do we interpret the promises of v.15-16 after seeing how history played out for them? Did God lie? No, David himself understood the large scope of time over many generations that would fulfill these promises;

“…thou hast spoken also of thy servant’s house for a great while to come…” II Samuel 7:19.

But how does this comfort the generation that saw the horrors of the Holocaust? It might sustain their faith to know of a day when future generations will see the promise come to pass but it does not comfort their horrible judgment for turning from obedience/love of God.

The promise, the warning, and the judgment are pre-told, first to motivate us to avoid the judgment by repenting from the cause, and secondly to accept the judgment as just and so endure the punishment with patience (*1), and finally to sponsor hope in the promise of redemption that allows us to believe in God even as the events happen.
What I am trying to speak of in this current section of posts is how our word record iniquity today will be magnified in the next generation, which once full (Ezekiel 9:9) will result in things hardly speakable for its horrors. After the judge dispenses his verdict is not the time to beg for mercy, it’s the time to pay the piper. The things done to you in prison are a on a whole new level of world records.
As it was unthinkable at the time to seriously consider that any man could one day surpass the world records of Mark Spitz, so I know this generation cannot comprehend that the iniquities will yet get greater than they are today because we have never know it to be this bad. I’m telling you now, a Michael Phelps is coming that will so overshadow our iniquities today as to make them unworthy of discussion. But I am also warning you to seriously evaluate where we are today compared to the standards set by the early generations and not just the most recent past;

“Do ye thus requite the LORD, O foolish people and unwise? Is not he thy father that hath bought thee? Hath he not made thee, and established thee? Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask thy father, and he will shew thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee”…Deuteronomy 32:7.

“Because thou hast not remembered the days of thy (nation’s) youth, but hast fretted (7264) me in all these things; behold, therefore I also will recompense thy way upon thine head, saith the Lord GOD: and thou shalt not commit this lewdness above all thine abominations (I will not permit it to increase any more). Behold, every one that useth proverbs shall use this proverb against thee, saying, As is the mother, so is her daughter” Ezekiel 16:43-44.

Fret 7264 ragaz; to quiver (with any violent emotion, especially anger…) rage…

“Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent” Revelation 2:5, etc., etc.

I seem to be using a grand and wonderful thing, such as the Olympics, in a twisted negative way to make a point don’t I? How dare I use the wonderfully peaceful achievements of plain ol’ good and clean international fun to imply a negative connotation? I understand the argument, but this complaint is in fact the crux of my use. How it applies will be yours to figure out as I develop the next few posts.
It will help you figure it out if you don’t forget I am still discussing our gender typology in relation to our Lord.

Yet, the endurance is only recommended after judgment is passed. The right response now is to repent, change your ways, stop the decay, and beg the Judge for mercy to help you recover what has already been lost! I beg you not to force the Judge to rule on this case before you turn. Use all extreem methods necessary to correct your twisted path as quickly as possible, because the Judge is even now exiting his chambers to join the court.
