Time’s Timeline

When?
Post 174

Have you ever wondered why a child seems to live in “this second” of the-here-and-now?
To tell a two year old to “wait until after supper” is to him the same as telling him “No.”
We call this problem a lack of patience. And so it is.
But as we get older, we find the weeks and months and even years pass alarmingly ever faster. We look back to our own school days and marvel that those years seemed then to last a lifetime… and in truth, THEY DID! (Explanation to come)

My dad had a whimsical theory, which was that our universe is being sucked into a black hole, and as we are being pulled in, our time is speeding up. This theory implies that an hour now, is not as long as an hour was ten years ago, that is why we just can't seem to get as much done in a day anymore!

I have a similar whimsical theory that I think may be a bit closer to the truth;
I call it; Time’s Timeline.
What I mean by that is to challenge the accepted scale used to evaluate relative time itself.

For every thing or event there is an expected duration of time from beginning to end. We call this a lifespan.
For the common housefly that timeline lasts about four weeks. *1 For a Tortoise it lasts about a hundred and fifty years. *2
The same basic events take place in both lines; conception, gestation, emergence, growth, maturity, reproduction, death. But old age and death happen much faster for the fly.
Therefore each timeline has a different time scale used to relate all events within that line.
I call this variation in scales; Time’s Timeline.
In otherwords; Whose timeline do we use to evaluate the passage of time?

* * *

Timeline Relevance:
Here we add the complexity (every good theory has a complexity) of Timeline Relevance:

Because of their different timescales of “beginning to end”, to an aged Tortoise, 15 years out of 150 on his time scale, is the same ratio of time as 3 days to an aged fly.
Both perspectives are true and flawless when viewed from within their respective time scales, yet very different when cross compared!
We often hear this described as “comparing apples and oranges” when discussing tangible inequality. My whimsical theory suggests the same with time.

Suppose we were to call the tortoise and the fly into a conference and tell them both that we have a wonderful surprise coming for them in 6 weeks.
For the aged Tortoise, the news would be exiting and imminent.
For the aged fly, the news would be a cruel and sick joke so far into the future that it will not occur in his lifetime, in fact the delay in the promise is longer than the fly’s entire expected lifespan!

Same promise, same time, but two very different applications to two very different Timelines of Time.

* * *

Timeline Perspective:
Now we add the qualifying complexity (told you my theory was good!) of variable perspectives within one Timeline’s Timescale:

The fly is now long dead of old age, and our Tortoise is now 147, (and is harassed by the 7056th generation of the original fly).
Now lets call to our conference the Tortoise and it’s one year old offspring.

Both subjects are Tortoise…Tortoises?..Tortie? *3
Again we see according to their respective present lifetimes there is a disparagement between how long is long, but for a different reason than that of the Tortoise and fly.
Both subject Tortoise have no experience beyond this present point from which to evaluate the duration of Time. (Time’s Timeline)
And so regarding their Timeline's timescale; what is relevant to the aged today, is based upon his present experience of time, NOT related to his entire lifespan; only of birth to now.
And so goes the same evaluation for the young.
The 147 year old Tortoise views one year as almost immediate because he has an almost complete comprehension of his timeline to make his relative evaluation of the suggested fraction, while the one year old Tortoise views one year as an entire lifetime! Thus when you were a school child, you had actually spent your entire life in school, and so your evaluation was in fact true; 12 years of school WAS an entire life time… at that point.

Both the aged and the young Tortoise expect to live 150 years, but there is a disparity between their perspectives of time; The SCALE of time used from which to compare time is unequal.

The disparity is purely a matter of perspective, and their resource information for evaluation cannot be found faulty.
So neither is wrong by perspective, though one declares a year is but a moment while the other declares it to be a lifetime!

This is why the two year old comes undone when told to wait for something until after supper and the parent gets frustrated because the child has no patience!
This is why the seventy year old man observes the passage of a year to be far faster than it did when he was a child.
Perspective.

How is this applicable to my blog?
In my last post I noted the long-term trend of recorded earthquakes reveals that both intensity and frequency have been alarmingly increasing over the past 110 years in comparison to the previous 3000 years.
But using the same science and history in two different timescales, is as my example of the promise to the Tortoise and the fly; the meaning is significantly different.

What we interpret from our scientific observation of history’s earthquakes is directly proportional to the lifespan of our earth. The discrepancy becomes;
Whose timescale do we use?

The Evolutionist tells us the earth is 13.7 billion years old. (subject to vast variations depending on many factors; i.e. who you ask when)
If this is true, what we are seeing in the last 3000 years cannot possibly have any significant meaning in the grand scale of expectancy, and certainly 110 years is so insignificant in duration we cannot even place it on the 13.7 billion year scale.
By extrapolating in proportion, the remaining life expectancy of the earth is still a few billion more years. Therefore a rise or fall in frequency and/or intensity over a mere 3000 years has no meaning whatsoever.

On the other-hand,

The Creationist tells us the earth is about 6000 years old according to the math of scriptures. (subject to minor variations depending on unquantified factors such as the age of Adam at his creation.)
If this is true, we have secular recorded earthquake activity over half the span of the earth's existence! (and biblical records for the other half which I leave out of the equation for the sake of unbelievers) Therefore the significant increase of earthquakes over the last 110 years is proportionally very alarming and has great significance.
Using the same scientifically observed history as the evolutionist, yet placed in the Creationists timescale of 6000 years, we can extrapolate the end of the earth to be nearly immediate. *4

Let me explain what this might mean, in a different way;

* * *

Scientists agree that our solar system has a huge black hole in its center, which is first sucking up the stars nearest it before pulling in the rest. *5
Scientists also agree that our galaxy is on a collision course with another galaxy. *6
Both Evolutionist and Creationist can agree that these would be very significant events of destruction if and when they eventually occur.
The scripture tells us the elements will melt with fervent heat, and that the new earth will have no seas. curious. (II Peter 3:10,12, Revelation 21:1,Isaiah 50:2, )
The information used to evaluate the events themselves may not be flawed in either case. *7
The disparity then comes when determining which time-scale to use in evaluating how long until the expected event of destruction.

The time-scale of 13.7 billion years used by the Evolutionist, tells us we have billions of years before the events.
The 6000 year time-scale used by the Creationist, tells us the events should come much sooner. Same theory, different time-scale.

This becomes extremely important only if the Creationists are right.
Yet unlike the Evolutionists who refuse to even allow the existence of the Creationist theory for honest analyzing, *8 the Creationist seriously explores both views in the effort to find the actual Truth of our existence.
Truth has no fear of being found out wrong, therefore the search for truth does not hide from the exploration of dissenting views. The truth seeker would rather be found out wrong sooner rather than later, so that he can continue the corrected search for truth.

* * *
Having diligently explored both Evolution and Creation, I find evolution so full of holes and outright intentional lies, that it is not worthy to be called a theory or a hypothesis. It can best be called unsupported propaganda. *9
Whereas the theory of Creation (now called Intelligent Design in many circles), though by no means fully understood, so far has NO errors of contradiction in true science or history. *10
Further, the book by which the theory of Intelligent Design is based, (the Holy Bible) has a remarkable track record of hundreds of extraordinary historical predictions of which not a single one that has come to pass has been shown to be in error.
This Prophetic track record lends significant evidence that the book is actually sourced from the Intelligent Designer who created the system of reality in which we find ourselves now debating its origin and duration.

That proven book describes a foundational war between Good and Evil as the underlying conflict in everything, (Genesis 2:9) yet despite the many evidences validating that claim, America now has a universal rejection of the God whom our founders believed gave Divine aid in its formation. *11

I do not condemn the exploration of the Big Bang theory by honest scientists attempting to discover our origin; I commend it, because an honest exploration will result in better knowledge of science, and the eventual scientific conclusion that such an event could not have resulted in our origin.
What I condemn is the underhanded, deceitful, lying cheating manipulation of science in order to arrive at the end desired. This is neither Truth, nor is it Science, but rather like Fabian socialism; the desire to create socialism through slow and reasonably un-violent processes of forced manipulation.

Below the Belt:
To explain the incredible and complex ends to which the opposition will go in shielding from or manipulating the facts, lets evaluate the following interesting real life example which has no valid explanation:
Sure Ben Stein’s movie “Expelled” got very poor reviews by the Evolutionary “scientific” world. This is how most people evaluate a source; “Was it well received?”
So by discrediting the movie, the evolutionists can effectively diminish the source material.
But what can the opposition do with clear facts that are simple to understand by everyone and now a part of the public record?
I offer you the extraordinary following short Google video clip that cannot be corrupted directly.
But before you watch it, (and you really need to watch it) I invite you to notice on the right column of the Google engine showing the “Playlist: Related videos” common to these video share sites.
What do we find? Every near pornographic video allowed in public media.
Now download the video and watch Suzanna Gratia-Hupp (a citizen) rebuke Congress regarding gun control laws…
But DON’T succumb to the temptation to click on any of the porn links on the Google page.
Purpose of the 2nd amendment made clear (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4069761537893819675#)

As important and valuable as the video clip is to the defense of the second amendment, it is actually more important to observe the underhanded wickedness of the opposition in surrounding the information with filth.
Why do they do this?
Because many well meaning but weak individuals will fall to the temptation, thereby both harming their righteous stand, and leave a searchable trail showing that weakness which Google can later exploit in disparaging “the caliber of people who watch such a second amendment video clip also watch porn”.
They lay the trap, we fall into the trap, and they ridicule our argument with our fallen values.

Only the actual righteous can prevail in such a spiritual battle! But most Christians today through slothfulness are not able to successfully endure such a battle without becoming a casualty.

Therefore we are back to the evaluation of which timeline to use in determining the nearness of our world’s end. God says it will come when the imagination of their heart is again evil continually;

“And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
…and the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth;…”
Genesis 6:5-7 (and He did with a great flood.)
“But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” Matthew 24:38
“Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down: for the press is full, the vats overflow; for their wickedness is great.” Joel 3:13

So what might be one of many signs of full wickedness? Read the progression of wickedness in Romans 1:18-32 concluding with;

“But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil…” Romans 2:8-9

Note this passage does not require godless mankind to obey a set of rigorous and restricting rules.
It simply obligates all mankind to follow the truth.
Is this not utterly reasonable?
“Truth is that which relates to reality” - Webster’s

* * *

Do we need other indicators of the nearness of the end of the world?
“But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end:” (and the colon tells us a description to recognize “the time of the end” follows;)
“…many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.” Daniel 12:4
Only since the time of autos and airplanes can we say; many now run to and fro.
And through all man’s history (evolutionist’s or creationist’s viewpoint) man has lived in simplicity… until about 150 years ago when mankind went from riding horses to traveling by air, and even a few walking on the moon. No one can say this verse should be applied to any time in history until our time! The time of the end is now!

And with this perspective, I finally get back to interpreting Revelation 17 part 2 showing the ancient description of the New World Order, the LAST empire of men, we are now watching rise!

*1 Lifespan of a housefly:
“The housefly combines a capacity for producing great numbers of young with one of the shortest life cycles known. A few flies in early summer can produce millions of descendants by fall, and as many as ten generations in that single season. Each female lays about 500 slender whitish eggs in batches of a hundred or more at a time. A half-day later, in warm weather, each egg hatches into a tiny white larva called a maggot. After five days or more, the larva is full-grown and then transforms into a quarter-inch, brown, seed-like pupa or "resting stage". From these pupae, 3 or 4 days later, the adults emerge and are soon ready to start families of their own. The average life span of an adult housefly is from 20 to 30 days.” - http://www.newton.dep.anl.gov/natbltn/400-499/nb453.htm

*2 Lifespan of a Tortoise:
“Tortoises generally have lifespans comparable with those of human beings, and some individuals are known to have lived longer than 150 years. Because of this, they symbolize longevity in some cultures, such as China. The oldest tortoise ever recorded, almost the oldest individual animal ever recorded, was Tui Malila, who was presented to the Tongan royal family by the British explorer Captain Cook shortly after its birth in 1777. Tui Malila remained in the care of the Tongan royal family until its death by natural causes on May 19, 1965. This means that upon its death, Tui Malila was 188 years old (AP 2006). The record for the known longest-lived vertebrate is succeeded only by one other, a Koi fish named "Hanako" whose death on July 17, 1977 ended a 226 year life span.” - http://www.newworldencyclopedia.org/entry/Tortoise

*3 Plural Tortoise: look it up!

*4 6000 Years? ARE YOU KIDDING?
So you have a problem with this 6000 year theory of existence?
Have you questioned that it took, (use a Carl Sagan voice here;) “millions and millions of years” for an ameba to evolve into a complex animal, yet mankind has only recorded history for 3000-6000 years?
We got loads of dinosaur bones, so surly you can find your millions of years of “almost-man” littering the fossil record. But there is nothing, Nothing! though man is an extraordinarily complex being that could not have evolved quickly..even from an evolutionist perspective! The math does not work. The evidence does not work. The fossil record does not work. But you balk at a 6000 year history theory? Perhaps you should at least seriously have a look.

*5 Black hole:
“Most galaxies are home to a black hole at their center, and the Milky Way is no exception. The black hole that lives in the center of our galaxy is named Sagittarius A* (pronounced “Sagittarius A-star”) or Sgr A* for short.” - http://www.universetoday.com/23152/the-milky-ways-black-hole/

*6 Galactic collision:
“The Milky Way and Andromeda galaxy are on a collision course! In about 3 billion years, the two galaxies will collide. Then over a span of 1 billion years or so after a very complex gravitational dance, they will merge to form an elliptical galaxy.” - http://www.galaxydynamics.org/tflops.html

“Two scientists with the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics stated that when, and even whether, the two galaxies collide will depend on Andromeda's transverse velocity.[1] Based on current calculations they predict a 50% chance that in a merged galaxy the solar system will be swept out three times farther from the galactic core than it is currently located.[1] They also predict a 12% chance that the Solar System will be ejected from the new galaxy some time during the collision.[7] Such an event would have no adverse effect on the system and chances of any sort of disturbance to the Sun or planets themselves may be remote.[7][8]
Without intervention, by the time that the two galaxies collide, the surface of the Earth will have already become far too hot for liquid water to exist, ending all terrestrial life, which is currently estimated to occur in about 1 billion years due to gradually increasing warmth of the Sun” - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andromeda%E2%80%93Milky_Way_collision

"And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree." Isaiah 34:4
"And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places." Revelation 6:14 (speaking of a vision of the future)
It is not hard to see the amazing description here in scripture of the scientific events our scientists tell us is coming. only the timing appears in question!

*7 Similar research findings:
I am not a scientist though science fascinates me, and so I enjoy reading where science has gone and what they have discovered. Yet it has become clear that modern science cannot be blanketly trusted because they now show strong signs of working under an controlling agenda. So I take what I learn with a dose of skepticism and evaluate their findings against the scriptures. If I do not find disagreement I can go along with the scientists findings as more knowledgeable than my own.

*9 Propaganda:
1. a. The Congregation of Propaganda. b. More fully College of Propaganda. A college instituted by Urban VIII (1623-44) to educate priests for missions. 2. Any organized or concerted group, effort, or movement to spread particular doctrines, information, etc. 3. a. A doctrine or ideas, spread through propaganda (sense 2) b. A plan for the propagation of a doctrine or system of principles. - Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary 5th edition 1948
So it would seem that even propaganda has been propagandized!

*10 NO errors of contradiction in true science or history.
I use this phrase to distinguish from the so called sciences of unsupported speculation now called science, such as evolution, global warming, the big bang etc. etc.
Further, simply because a history book declares mankind believed the world to be flat until the time of Columbus does not make it true. The very old scriptures provide the recorded knowledge that the world was round, and the sun was the center of the solar system, the purpose of the stars, etc. etc. But like the forced doctrine of the Roman Catholic Church to the ends of execution, the historical accounting tends to follow the will of the administration at the time. In contradiction, true science is the search of what relates to reality, not what we want it to be.
True history is an accounting of the way it really was, not the way we want to imagine it was. The biblical accounting of both science and history conforms to all reality, known and unknown.
Example:
The earth was made before the sun and stars according to Genesis 1:9-13 and 1:14-19
Scientists will eventually discover this scientific truth, but that discovery could happen much sooner if they would stop clinging so hard to the Big Bang theory at the exclusion of all other dissenting theories.

*11 Divinely formed Nation:
There are very many examples I can post here, but I have selected these few, and especially this first one in hopes that you will choose to read the entire text of this great and meaningful speech by Benjamin Franklin partially quoted here:

“…In this situation of this Assembly groping as it were in the dark to find political truth, and scarce able to distinguish it when to us, how has it happened, Sir, that we have not hitherto once thought of humbly applying to the Father of lights to illuminate our understandings? In the beginning of the contest with G. Britain, when we were sensible of danger we had daily prayer in this room for the Divine Protection. -- Our prayers, Sir, were heard, and they were graciously answered. All of us who were engaged in the struggle must have observed frequent instances of a Superintending providence in our favor. To that kind providence we owe this happy opportunity of consulting in peace on the means of establishing our future national felicity. And have we now forgotten that powerful friend? or do we imagine that we no longer need His assistance.
I have lived, Sir, a long time and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth -- that God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without his aid? We have been assured, Sir, in the sacred writings that "except the Lord build they labor in vain that build it." I firmly believe this; and I also believe that without his concurring aid we shall succeed in this political building no better than the Builders of Babel: We shall be divided by our little partial local interests; our projects will be confounded, and we ourselves shall be become a reproach and a bye word down to future age. And what is worse, mankind may hereafter this unfortunate instance, despair of establishing Governments by Human Wisdom, and leave it to chance, war, and conquest…” - Benjamin Franklin, Constitutional Convention Address on Prayer delivered Thursday, June 28, 1787, Philadelphia, PA full text of the speech (http://www.americanrhetoric.com/speeches/benfranklin.htm)

Abraham Lincoln, during the civil war, in reply to a man hoping ‘the Lord was on our (the Union) side’:
“Sir, I am not at all concerned about that, for I know the Lord is always on the side of the right. But it is my constant anxiety and prayer that I and this nation should be on the Lord’s side.”

“ And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis - a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are the gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with his wrath? Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just: that his justice cannot sleep forever.” - Thomas Jefferson
