The Abomination That Makes Desolate

Post 301

In the recent Posts I showed that the dramatic subversion of our fundamentally Christian form of governance began back in 1870, and the Christians have long continued a loosing struggle to maintain the Christian Heritage handed to us by our forefathers. What has become clear by the introduction of Evolutionary thinking into American Law and culture is that in this struggle Christianity is now on the defensive rather than dominate as it originally was. Yet the laws originally enacted into practice remain effective even until their influence diminishes sometime after the laws have been changed. When you loose your job you often get a check a few weeks later for the work you already did, and your bank account of savings continues to provide for your needs until it is depleted. Depending upon the benefits and handling of the job income this can be quite a significant period, as America has shown.
If you will remember, the Industrial Revolution lasted roughly between 1760 and 1870 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Industrial_Revolution), the dates are arguable due to the nature of such changes but few list it much before or after these dates (*1). Is it another “coincidence” that this extremely remarkable economic and lifestyle boon of good in world history seems to closely follow the creation of the United States of America and end about the time Evolution became an accepted worldview in that same Union? The incredible abundance and availability of life-enhancing products to the increasingly hedonistic masses of the 1900s followed behind this revolution; the seeds of that bounty were sewn in the Christian Era of America like the labor that produced the last paycheck or the fall crops of a spring planting. This offset trending concept seems to be historically validated for both good and bad sowing, and God confirms this perspective as true:

“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap” Galatians 6:7.

The concept is clearly speaking of crops. The law of nature and nature’s God tells us that between planting and harvest is a significant period of waiting. And now we have the framework from which to consider the passage as it continues:

“For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not” Galatians 6:8-9.

This American system of see-saw between emotional democracy and logical republicanism (*2) seems to be a flaw in design, but without the will of the people able to determine for themselves if they will agree with God or disobey God it would not be a Republic but a despotic State. God is not a Tyrant.
As the mind of American’s become less and less familiar with the God of Creation (Nature’s God) their attention span shrinks at an alarming rate. They loose the long-term vision of God beyond their personal lives and so they naturally live for the NOW; “It’s all about ME.” In this way they care nothing for the nature of the seeds that were planted in the previous “term,” and only care about what fruit they are consuming in the NOW. These “8-second-soundbite children” plant today and eat today and assume what they are eating today is the fruit of what they planted today. But life doesn’t work like that… nor was it designed to.

The benefits of this seesaw form of government is two-fold:
First it ensures that we never utterly destroy our nation quickly. If we made a mistake and planted Hemlock instead of Corn last term we have the unspent remnants of a bank account from past harvests of good crops to live on while we endure a lean year of Hemlock fruit knowing that we have the potential of a better crop coming up from the seesaw planting we can usually do next term.
Secondly it grants us a repeating cycle of trending harvests from which we are to observe over time and eventually figure out by tracking, which is the better crop and therefore which we should focus planting on a regular basis and especially after a lean year. Hemlock might not actually be a good seed to plant…even if it’s cheap and looks pretty. Still not sure yet? plant another crop of it and wait. Do you think you found the fruit you like? Remember the seesaw affect of delayed harvest and plant two of the same formally planted crops back-to-back and see if that turns out in the long run the way you anticipated (*3). Just remember that you are not now eating the fruit of the last planting but one planted previously, sometimes even several plantings ago. Plant more than one crop per term and you have to have more than a sit-com mentality to cipher the seed that produced the fruit now being consumed and evaluated.

Even the simple, when he gets uncomfortable enough, will begin to seriously explore what he can do to fix his plight (II Thessalonians 3:10-12). Can you imagine if our emotional democratic society would eventually figure out by trending observation that we are fundamentally happier when choosing God’s Republican ways (*4) for ourselves?

“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn” Proverbs 29:2.

Democrats and Republicans, like the maturity of an eventual successful marriage, would actually agree in the blending of logic and emotion; Law and Grace. What a powerful and happy government that would be!
Therefore this see-sawing is a Christian American foundation that being first corrupted into “warring genders,” must then be transformed, or a few years of wild emotionalism will lead the empty and hungry people back to the Law, as is historically shown to be the case in the United States of America.
Enter Obama’s wealth-sharing Government that, by theft from the corrupt or diminishing successful, will ensure no simpleton or slothful mindframe of the masses will go hungry and therefore inquisitive. This is the Evolutionary Law of compassionate Emotionalism that stands boldly in the face of nature and nature’s God, and “by peace will destroy many”:

“And through his (Anti-Christ’s) policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many…” Daniel 8:25.
* * *

Getting There Slowly:
I think most true Christians are familiar with, and watching for, the prophetic coming of the Anti-Christ and his sudden “abomination of desolation” that Jesus spoke of as a landmark event:

“When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) then let them which be in Judea flee into the mountains:” Matthew 24:15, (Mark 13:14).

But are we so sure we rightly comprehend what we think we are watching for?
By serious discussion it becomes evident that most Christians imagine a setting where Israel is returned to their land as a holy people living life faithfully unto God when suddenly the most evil man the planet has ever seen rises to world power outside of their will or scope of responsible control(; “I didn’t vote for him”), and with a spontaneous act he breaches the covenant, and against their will sets up an idol in their holy of holies in the Temple, and this event initiates “all hell on earth.” This misdirecting perception is confirmed by searching Daniel for such an event while using these “glasses” of interpretation:

“And (military) arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate” Daniel 11:31.

Nice and neat, “would you like that in a 'Rapture to-go box' too?”
I am in no wise denying the obvious of these passages; this event will indeed take place, but my concern is with the simplistic perception we have regarding the times in which this takes place. In other words; what else is going on that leads to this “sudden” event? No man can rise from nowhere to suddenly enact such earth-shaking policy… and likewise, an Obama cannot rise to power if the people are righteous. There has to be seeds sown to produce such a crop, and between the planting and the harvest is a significant period of growing-time. Daniel tells us what the crop is; a bad guy suddenly crushing God’s people and their previous publicly acceptable faith. In the harvest Typology of Genesis 6:5-6 resulting in the v.7 Holocaust, I am curious to discover the seeds planted that produce this prophesied end result (see Post 259 As The Days Of Noah (http://when-did-reason-die.blogspot.com/2012/08/as-days-of-noah.html).

The Progressive Nature of Abominations:
It is clear by the wording in scripture that there are abominations that don’t immediately result in desolation, but, like a crop, they take time to mature:

“…and their abominations were according as they loved” Hosea 9:10.

“Judah hath dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah hath profaned the holiness of the LORD which he loved, and hath married the daughter of a strange god” Malachi 2:11.

“And in all thine abominations and thy whoredoms thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, when thou wast naked and bare, and wast polluted in thy blood. And it came to pass after all thy wickedness, (woe, woe unto thee! saith the Lord GOD; *5) that thou hast also built unto thee an eminent place, and hast made thee an high place in every street”… Ezekiel 16:22-24.

By reading the context and the history we know that they continued in growing consequences for some time after planting these progressive abominations before the harvest of their “sudden desolations” eventually came. Consistent with the scripture’s prophecies, and with history’s cycles of civilizations; even in the midst of woes there is a period of discomfort that allows disciplinary correction if it will be taken (II Chronicles 12:7-8), but to plow under bad crops at this late date in the season of their growth is something rarely done before harvest and so the woes pile up:

“But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against that day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgments of God; who will render to every man according to his deeds:” Romans 2:5-6.

Yet at each step in the heedless progression to destruction comes proportionately increasing punishments-- like a child’s reprimands turning to spanking and then to prison-- intended at last to derail the incorrigible rebellious spirit from catching to others (Hebrews 12:7-8 < 6:8 < 12:15 < II Timothy 4:3-4):

“A bishop then must be blameless…(for if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)... Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without (i.e. outside of the faith); lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil… And let these (that desire to be deacons) also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless… For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus” I Timothy 3:2,5,7,10,13. (See also I Corinthians 5:9-13, Hebrews 12:15-16).

“And they (the Levites) shall not come near unto me (anymore), to do the office of a priest unto me, nor to come near to any of my holy things, in the most holy place: but they shall bear their shame, and their abominations which they have committed” Ezekiel 44:13.
But I will (not cut them off entirely, but will) make them keepers of the charge of the house, for all the service thereof, and for all that shall be done therein” Ezekiel 44:14.

Old Testament or New there is a standard to be kept and a price to be paid for knowledgeable failure, the price is that person or nation-- even if afterwards repentant and redeemed-- is thereafter unworthy to be the representative authority of God at the previous degree because of their proven weakness of compromise at that level which shows, among other things, a dangerous probability and potential of corrupting God’s message to those under his scope of protection and nurture. History shows a very sordid line of Popes who have long failed to be worthy of the office they hold, and the unspeakable consequences on the many for allowing them to remain in the seat of the office. This is not even considering the office of the Catholic Church itself as an imposter but only that these wicked men have utterly and abominably failed yet remain seated proudly in the Catholic lineage of leadership in a likewise abominable Church (*6). This scriptural trial of worthiness goes equally for the ministers in the Christian church today who publicly shame the faith by their failure but are left seated anyway. Public repentance by the organization for the sins of its leaders by ejecting them in shame is imperative for an organization to remain after a leader abominably fails (Acts 5:1-14), but for the leader himself; public repentance-- while perhaps redeeming his salvation-- does not make him eligible to retake the seat, as so many so-called forgiving Christian ministries now willfully presume. Likewise when the organization itself is found guilty of desolating abominations, that organization is obligated to be put down like a serial killer so that it can do no more damage, it is to be taken off the registry of eligibility to represent God (Revelation 2:1-3:22). Reformation is not an option that God provides once that line of Judgment by trial has been crossed (Revelation 14:9-11). But in the cloak of God’s Son we challenge God’s unchanging Law in the name of democratically minded Grace? Insanity!

I regularly encounter Christians who are more than happy to call the modern Catholic Church “Christian” because they profess belief in the virgin birth and the redeeming sacrifice of Jesus Christ the Son of God. Under this new perspective of “Grace” the unrepentant countless murders and rapes of her lengthy past are suddenly forgiven because; “The past is the past so let’s all forgive and forget that stuff in the name of Christ and move on.” But how do we reconcile this emotional reconciliatory view with the principle of scripture that tells us a man must be put to death for taking the life of another (Exodus 21:12, Leviticus 24:17), or for consensual adultery or rape of a woman (Deuteronomy 22:23-25). Conceptually this is a principle that must be understood through the desolating iniquity of the Amorites that resulted in God’s Capitol Judgment of them (Genesis 15:16, Deuteronomy 1:4-8). This principle applies to removing Presidents for Treason, Congressmen for conflict of interest, Teachers for molesting children, Ministers for vilifying the church, etc., etc. All this falls within the lengthy period between planting and harvest before the third woe falls. By leaving such abominations unchecked, they grow as well as multiply, like weeds in a garden unattended. I’m getting the impression it is not wise to sit around playing Bingo in the church basement while we wait for the Anti-Christ to arrive and mess up our pretty illusion of innocent righteousness.

The Delayed Result of Overspreading Abominations:
Abominations, while not immediately resulting in desolation, add up like sex crimes in karma-minded India, and eventually there is the straw that broke the camel’s back. Scripture calls this the abomination that makes desolate, but what actually paves the way for it?:

“...and in the midst of the week he (Anti-Christ) shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate…” Daniel 9:27 (see also: Matthew 24:15 and the related Daniel 9:27, 11:31, 12:11).

But while Christians-- in cyclic Type of the historic Jews-- are carefully watching for “The bad guy” to appear and commit “The Abomination of Desolation,” they are wholly ignorant that by their own hand their land is already becoming desolate in preparation through their many overspreading abominations that they don’t see as abominations:

…“So that the LORD could no longer bear, because of the evil of your doings, and because of the abominations which ye have committed; therefore is your land a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without an inhabitant, as at this day” Jeremiah 44:22.

Likewise, as we see America’s long trending toward progressive legislations of wickedness, the seeds are once again being earnestly sown by both parties through nearly every successive “term,” which prepares our land to harvest nothing but the Days of Noah-like fruit of the Matthew 24 last “bad guy.” It’s pretty hard to blame the reaper for the fruit that is reaped while the sowers gaze lazily into the sky whistling slyly as if they had nothing to do with it because that planting was in the unrepented past and is no longer relevant to current events. How much worse when the sowers are seen as, and believe themselves to be, faithful and true Christians for the sowing.

What is Desolation?

“And if you will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me; then I will walk contrary unto you…And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you. And I will make your cities waste, and bring your sanctuaries unto
(8077) desolation, and I will not smell the savour of your sweet odours. And I will bring the land into (8074) desolation: and your enemies which dwell therein shall be astonished at it” Leviticus 26:27,30-32.

“And be ye not like your fathers, and like your brethren, which trespassed against the LORD God of their fathers, who therefore gave them up to (8047) desolation, as ye see” II Chronicles 30:7.

Knowing now that our own abominations bring the desolation on our land and consecrated places, what is desolation?

Desolation 8077 shemamah; or shimamah; feminine of 8076; devastation; figuratively astonishment:-- (laid, X most) desolate (-ion), waste.
8076 shamem; from 8074; ruined:-- desolate.
8074 shamem; a primitive root; to stun (or intransitively, grow numb), i.e. devastate or (figuratively) stupefy (both usually in a passive sense):-- make amazed, be astonied, (be an) astonish (-ment), (be, bring into, unto, lay, lie, make) desolate (-ion, places), be destitute, destroy (self), (lay, lie, make) waste, wonder.
8047 shammah; from 8074; ruin; by implication consternation:-- astonishment, desolate (-ion), waste, wonderful thing [to make one wonder].

When a fire or earthquake or war ravages an entire city killing hundreds or perhaps thousands, they rebuild. Although words like catastrophe, decimation, and destroyed, are used to describe such an event it is almost unheard of to declare such a city desolate. Desolation implies a degree of destruction beyond rebuilding. Desolation suggests the deprivation of all life or purpose or hope from an area, the elimination of all resources or useable materials that make it even potentially habitable or reason to be habited:

“And Joshua burnt Ai, and made it an heap for ever, even a (8077) desolation unto this day” Joshua 8:28 (per Deuteronomy 13:12-16).

Yet we know that there are perpetual desolations (Ezekiel 35:9, Jeremiah 25:12), and desolations that after many years is reclaimed (Isaiah 64:10-11, Jeremiah 25:11 < Isaiah 51:11, Jeremiah 30:3) for no other obvious practical cause than a historical connection to the location:

“and they (the meek, the brokenhearted, the captives of v.1; i.e. the Israelites) shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations” Isaiah 61:4.

That’s really great for them but does nothing for the many generations between the fall and the rebuilding; those generations remain desolate their entire lives and nobody they are related to can remember not being desolate.
Why? What keeps such a formerly successful people in functionally perpetual desolation generation after generation? What keeps them from getting “hungry” and quickly figuring out what went wrong?
This is a question that deserves a very earnest contemplation. It has everything to do with desolation.

The Importance of Foundations:
Walking through the romantically serine ruins of ancient civilizations we often see little more than the foundational outlines of what we can imagine were homes, businesses, and gathering halls. In this state the foundations do little but provide the evidence that those people were once here but have been gone so long that what they left behind now has virtually no impact on the earth, the ruins of those useless foundations provide only a meaningless history of curiosity for what would be otherwise completely forgotten. But the existing foundation, dilapidated as it is, creates curiosity… and curiosity leads to discovery of things forgotten.
Likewise the fundamentals of a civilization are the “grass roots” that give a certain life and purpose to a people group. Burn them out and they can still recover because they retain their foundations, let a civilization derail into hard times but if they will simply return to their foundations they can usually reclaim what they once had. But once a people have forgotten the foundations of what made them who they once were; when things go wrong enough to create questions, they have no idea what happened and have no means of figuring it out. The only thing they have left to do is spend years of trial and error in the effort to make slow steps in a “new discovery” of what once worked, like reinventing the wheel after the concept has long been forgotten. Yet, with great effort through time it’s possible that it can be done… after many generations of various failed attempts. This is the great value of hard-obtained and carefully preserved knowledge that can be passed down at no additional cost, but which cannot easily be rediscovered once lost (Isaiah 29:14, Jeremiah 6:21):

“My People are destroyed for lack of knowledge…” Hosea 4:6.

Which leads to:

“Where there is no vision, the people perish…” Proverbs 29:18a.

So to make sure such a people never recover, the foundations of what they once were need to be more than erased (where by the absence of the historical record a desperate inquiry makes unexpected discoveries); it needs to be transformed before the desolations make them earnestly begin to ask what went wrong. In this way when they begin to back track what was, they uncover forgotten foundations of history… but unbeknown to them it’s not the same history that was actually laid to produce the existence they want to recover.
Transformation of foundations, by definition, is not the making of something new but a fundamental changing of something already existing in order to become something it was never going to be as a natural maturity. A butterfly might seem to “transform” from a caterpillar, but its foundations; its fundamentals; its DNA, remains the same and the metamorphisis is simply an expected state of natural maturity.
If you fundamentally transform the foundations of a nation-- as Mr. Obama has declared is his intention-- you so alter its DNA (fundamentals) that while still presumed to be unquestionably THE foundations-- like Monsanto corn-- they are in fact not at all what they once were and what will be built on them will not result in what once was. It’s like somebody secretly changing your wife’s birth certificate to read that she was born male, then going through her Baby photo album and doctoring the few family pictures of her infancy on the changing table naked before the world. Knowing your wife intimately, you might actually think this is a great gag, but what happens after you’re both dead-and-gone and your children stumble upon this material? “Was our mother actually a guy in drag all these years? Did she have a genetic reassignment surgery as a youth? Did dad know about it? Were we adopted and this kept from us? No our DNA is proof. Then Why?”

In this state of cascading confusion we might attempt to re-invent the wheel by trial and error of “scientific reasoning,” but what we now think is the blueprints for a wheel is really something else entirely. The foundations are right there before our eyes as a “flat map” proof of the building that once was, but that map has been subversively altered and does not reflect the building that we are trying to recreate. Building after building gets built with slight variations in the trial-and-error of earnest re-creation but the end results always fail to produce what once was, and there is no explanation but that the original must have been a freak of nature; “It seems apparent by the evidence that two guys can have children in a 1:100,000,000,000 odd chance by Evolution over time. Who knew?”

But it’s worse than that.
Because this is a transformation of an existing foundation-- in this case; God’s ways-- then the failure to succeed by following the “historical” Godly foundations (such as Catholicism) proves that God is a fraud whose ways don’t work in the “real world,” therefore we begin to look for some other factor that accounts for the success of our ancestors… perhaps favorable Undirected Evolution of time and chance; i.e. “blind luck.” This is a functionally perpetual desolation because although truth only has one answer to evaluate, the theoretical variations of confident fantasy are near limitless (Psalm 14:1,92:5-6, Isaiah 6:9, John 12:38-40, Romans 11:25a).

“If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?” Psalm 11:3.

“(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” II Corinthians 10:4-5.

The righteous know the right way but how do they explain it if the historical foundations don’t reflect what they say?
What made America the world’s greatest nation? We don’t know and we don’t care but “whatever we once were we are no longer a Christian nation.” This is not the desolation but is the seeding of a whole new super-crop of overspreading abominations that will result in desolation.
The Christian worldview was in fact the fundamental foundation of America, whose transformation began back in 1870. It’s the fundamentals of Christianity itself that is now being transformed, and in the temporal Typology of the spiritual, it is represented by the transformation of the Constitution of the United States.
The perpetual desolation becomes evident when America decides they want to try Christianity again… but although she won’t know it at the time, it won’t be the same one and therefore won’t result in the same fruit. That “day of return” is just now being earnestly considered by those who don’t care for this new wicked direction, and my concern is that like American History; Americans already have no idea what real Christianity actually is and are swallowing whole the new version.
* * *

So now that we generally understand what’s going on, and since we have the Tapestry of History nearly completed for review, and since we have the prophecy of Scripture to guide our viewing, allow me to show you in reasonably confident detail the overspreading “Christianity” we are about to “return to” and the desolation it will produce.
* * * * * * *

(*1) Industrial Revolution:
“The era known as the Industrial Revolution was a period in which fundamental changes occurred in agriculture, textile and metal manufacture, transportation, economic policies and the social structure in England. This period is appropriately labeled “revolution,” for it thoroughly destroyed the old manner of doing things; yet the term is simultaneously inappropriate, for it connotes abrupt change. The changes that occurred during this period (1760-1850), in fact, occurred gradually.” - (http://www.yale.edu/ynhti/curriculum/units/1981/2/81.02.06.x.html).

“The First Industrial Revolution evolved into the Second Industrial Revolution in the transition years between 1840 and 1870, when technological and economic progress gained momentum with the increasing adoption of steam-powered boats, ships and railways, the large scale manufacture of machine tools and the increasing use of steam powered factories” - (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Industrial_Revolution).

(*2) The Logical Republicanism:
In the age of confusion I must be clear that today’s republicans are as Lawlessly emotional as the democrats and this only adds more complexity to the problem in seeking a clear understanding. I am continuing to use the word Republican to describe the logical and rational unchanging laws-- which the Maker established at Creation-- in contrast to the democratic laws of emotional humanity that simply wants what it wants because it wants it in mass, like a mutiny.

(*3) The Meaning of Life:
It is my earnest belief that the meaning of life is for each individual, and each governing entity, to weave their own individual thread of existence into the grand fabric of history. Each life lived produces a related color on our fragile and seemingly insignificant strand of life. The murdered unborn may only provide a tiny short strand of red but they add up to a very stark sea of scarlet background behind the shining nation or State that sponsored it. By weaving our strands we collectively create a grand and colorful tapestry from which following generations can begin to see a fantastic picture emerge by the increasing degree of completion, and thereby more wisely choose the color of life they will use themselves. In otherwords; as History comes to its determined end-- which the scriptures tell us this is now “the last time” (I Peter 1:20, II Timothy 3:1-7, I John 2:18)-- all humanity will be able to see more plainly by the many cycles of success and failures in “the bigger picture,” which ones are the wisest cycles to repeat and which are to be avoided. God the Maker has already told us that the completed Tapestry will show a glorious picture that all creation will finally see clearly and respond with the V8 slap on the forehead exclaiming; “I get it now!”:

“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him (Jesus), and given him a name which is above every name: that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” Philippians 2:9-11.

“For it is written (in Isaiah 45:22-24), As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way” Romans 14:11-13.

God is not a Tyrant.
Such bowing and confession will not be by force, but from a clarity of your own comprehension of all the facts… even if only after you have woven your thread to its end and it is too late to do differently; i.e. after your death-- at the judgment-- the tapestry of history will at long last be hanging on God’s wall in His kingdom, completely finished for all humanity to gaze upon to see and fully comprehend its whole undisputable picture that proves His is the Right way.
Like a girl who all her life publicly hated and despised her father for abandoning her, only to find on her deathbed-- alone-- that it was her wicked mother who kept him away by court order, and she discovers too late that in spite of her constant vilification and belittlement of her father he remained ever vigilant in the shadows watching over and secretly clearing the way for her successes if she would but take them. Hatred turns to admiration by comprehension of the big picture truth of his love and the circumstances, but it doesn’t retroactively negate the events of the life wrongly lived without redemption.
The meaning of life therefore is to spend this short existence wisely in discovering timely the better course that leads to your selected place for all eternity:

“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation” Hebrews 9:27-28.

“Looking diligently…lest there be any…as Esau, who…sold his birthright. For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears” Hebrews 12:15-17.

Esau finds himself bowing now, not by force, but by personal recognition of rejecting what was his by birth: eternal Salvation by Him who is just and faithful and true.

(*4) “God’s Republican Ways,” not to be confused with today’s so-called Republicans who see God as their “boy” to sanction their own democratic RINO(*4b) agendas. I know it’s hard and rubs you wrong, but try to maintain that I am not speaking of political parties or genders per se, but of the foundational principles behind the words (see Post 194 Peace (http://when-did-reason-die.blogspot.com/2011/05/peace.html). The political parties and genders are mere shadow reflections of the principles as we apply them.

(*4b) RINO: Republican In Name Only.
These quazi- Republicans make it nearly impossible for Republicans not to hate everything Republican, and the Democrats hate the Republicans for their exampled hypocrisy in trying to subvert democratic values to appear Republican. RINOs are more evil than either party because they are not what they pretend to be.

(*5) The First Two Woes:
See Revelation 8:13, and Post 200 The First Woe (http://when-did-reason-die.blogspot.com/2011/06/first-woe.html).
The passage in this current Post warns that two woes are declared upon this people for her sins, the other passages show an undisclosed third woe still pending before her desolations come. If you will remember we have not yet completed our study of the three woes. But we have been working on it all this time!

(*6) See A Woman Rides the Beast by Dave Hunt, chapters 7-10 resulting in the following p.143 sum:

“…So far there has been no admission of wrongdoing by Rome (meaning the Roman Catholic Church) even regarding the Inquisition, the mistreatment and massacre of tens of thousands of Jews, the martyrdom of millions of Christians, the slaughter of 1 million Serbs during World War II, and the smuggling of tens of thousands of Nazi war criminals into safe havens.”

Although I disagree with his “Revived Rome” premise, I strongly encourage you to read the book for both lost history and great insight into the psyche of the Whore.
